Regret

That was my worst mistake. I've regretted it. Once, I've woken up, I saw Zalulians staring at me. They were dressed in dark cloaks, and grinning at me. "Welcome, new flesh," hissed one of them.

"What h-happened?" I asked them in a state of confusion and anxiety. Their loud, deep laughs brought shivers up my spine.

"You've crossed the town line of Zalu. You've just become one of us!" The same one spat. "There is no Sun, light, and neither escape."

It was the 'night' when courageousness abated to hopelessness. It's when I tremble upon a cold and dark day that I've wished to flee. I still do. Each daring attempt to escape is always a failure. It's like the town doesn't want me to leave.

"Wh-what do you m-mean?" I quiver.

One of them stepped forward and unveiled their hood. An adult woman with blue wolf eyes, pale skin, and her long flowing silver hair tucked away in her cloak. Her ears are werewolf-like. This was the day where I met the town's queen, Selphine, she's a human-wolf hybrid (Alphix) and one of the friendly creatures in Zalu. In my endless time spent in the town, pure friendly creatures were rare. Heed my warning, every monster here is violent.

"The town is cursed," Selphine explains fraught with pity, "Humans outside the borderlines don't even know."

"Is there any way to get out?" I asked.

She shook her head. "I am afraid not, new flesh; however, there are many ways to survive from the demons"

"What?!" I blurted. My dinner threatened to come out, but I fought.

"Stay within the lights of this place. If you step away from the light, you've placed yourself in death's hands." I didn't understand her what she said during that time. Now, I do understand her concept: Light shines away darkness and evil.
