THE.GREEK//20.SEP.17

After their overnight trip from San Francisco, the two tour buses arrived in LA on 20 September. Not entirely sure who exactly is travelling on the tour buses but certainly Erik Lauer, who is the tour's videographer and regularly Insta Stories from each city, and the band's lovely keyboard and vocalist, Clare Uchima, both seem to be enjoying the delights of being on the road.

Harry's merch launched on his website shop to much applause that sizing ranged from XS to XXL.  But some fans were surprised at the San Francisco show that the larger sizes were more expensive.  Live Nation admitted there had been a mistake in the pricing at the SF show and that Harry and his team were unaware but this had been recified.

Being Hollywood, and also that Harry describes it as his second home, it was no surprise that the LA audience was full of well-wishing acquaintances, friends and American 'family'.  I could probably speculate a list but will stick to either printed or after-show photographic evidence from the night - Mick Fleetwood, Shania Twain, Emma Roberts, Minka Kelly, Demi Harman, Candice Cameron, Sabrina Carpenter and Billie Lourd, Mark Burnett & Roma Downey, Camille Rowe, Cindy Crawford, Alex Salibian & Nichola Weiss, and Niall Horan.

The set list for this second concert remain unchanged.

"This is the second night of my tour, I consider California my second home so thank you for being here."

One thing Harry had mastered is the effortless changing from playing his Gibson guitar, to frontman, to showman, then back again.

Even after only two concerts, there was no doubt that all aspects of the show had Harry's influence written all over it.  From the treat people with kindness theme, to the decorated suits, to the selected cover songs.  He likes to play the genre of music he loves to listen to and the songs he has written in the past and present and is proud of.

The suggestion made in the press that he was somehow trying to shrug off his One Direction days is utter nonsense.  Of course Harry does what he does best, he answers his critics by performing the very song that launched One Direction as a band.  He is proud of his roots and he has stated it many times before.

Before playing Stockholm Syndrome, he tipped his hat to his band days. "If you've come out and seen me before with my wonderful friends in One Direction..."

The open-air venue lit up during the JALBOMH cover and looking out from the stage, it must have been an amazing sight to see.

Harry's floppy mic decided to not play ball, with even the stage guy struggling.  Eventually it behaved as Harry giggled the mishap away.

Ariana tweeted – 'this has always been my favourite version !!! I'm so happy you got to hear it this way."

"Thank you so much for having me.  I know you have a good view over the back of the hills and everything but please watch me cos I get er, I'll get sad if you don't!"

Using initiative, some climbing skills and camouflage, those hills provided some fans who had been unable to get tickets with a wonderful birds eye view of the concert!

Harry asked for a Pride flag again during What Makes You Beautiful and waved it around the stage before he launched into Kiwi.  Whilst the crowd were warming into the track, after a few bars he was not happy!

"Stop, stop, stop, stop, stop.  Is that it?  I'm gonna need a little more from you.  I'm pretty into you right now.  I'm about to tell you that I'm having your baby and quite simply, I'm gonna need more from you (crowd screams).  Now would you like to try that one again?  Maybe we'll move on, we'll move onto the next one and skip Kiwi tonight (crowd groans). Ah, okay, let's start it again."

The audience had been told what the expectation was and they delivered, allowing Harry to let go of himself and his water all over the front few rows.

Band intros brought a little joke.  "Please make some noise because he's never made one – Mr Mitch Rowland!"

Harry had previously been described by Stevie Nicks as being the unofficial adopted son of Mick Fleetwood.  Nick himself had stated, "Harry writes to me from weird places."  It only seemed fitting that Harry announced, "this one's for you Big Daddy," during his cover of The Chain.

Also what a moment for Sarah Jones as she delivered the drums on the track superbly.

"Thank you so much for having us. I, um, it's kind of impossible to say thank you enough times because I, I just couldn't be on the stage if it wasn't for you guys so, thank you so much for everything that has got me to this place and for all your support since this next song came out.  I love you very, very much and this is the last one (No!) and, er, I mean I just don't have any more songs, this IS the last one (Make one up!). Um, please sing along if you know this one and if I could possibly be any luckier than I am right now I will see you again very soon. Thank you very much, I love with you all my heart.  This is Sign of the Times."

Despite some press reviews stating otherwise, he looked a little more relaxed this night.  Of course there was some nerves evident but he was still finding his feet.  It was only show two, give the guy a break!
