Harry and his band had been spotted out having lunch in Toronto the day before the concert.

The evening got off to an eventful start. The wonderful harmonising of the opening bars of Ever Since New York, spot light silhouette goes up then down, then darkness as the curtain does not drop! Someone literally had to rip it off its hanging! Harry seemed unfazed; like all mishaps, he just laughs it off and gets on with being professional. It is these little moments though that make each show individual.

The first few songs behind his guitar are really a settle in.  Are the levels right, band happy, lights okay, get a feel for the audience, an ease into the show in gently to make sure it is going to be the best it can be.

Doris showed us the Harry doesn't name is guitars but perhaps he names his amps!

Toronto was in fine voice!

"Hello Toronto. How are you doing this evening? My name is Harry. Thank you very much for having me in your wonderful country. How are we feeling? You feeling good? Can I possibly get the house lights up for a second. There you are. You all look fabulous and everyone up top."

"My job for the next hour and a little bit is to entertain you. Your job is to do whatever it is that makes you happiest.  If you want to sing or if you want to dance, you can be whoever you want to be in this room. This is Carolina."

"Thank you to everyone who is here tonight. I am very aware that I only have 10 songs so thank you for spending some time with me. I don't get to do this if you don't come so thank you so much."

The sound in the hall was unbelievable. The harmonies and guitars sounded amazing and that was through a live stream. Sweet Creature is such a simple stripped back tune.  It sounded incredible.

Once he was warmed up he let go lots of crowd kisses – he never forgets the crowd high up. It really feels like a party atmosphere.

"You are much louder than America!" before Woman. Throwing kisses during. Collected Canadian pride flag from a fan and held it aloft.

He kept fiddling/adjusting his mic pack tonight!

There were two  huge 'Free Palestine' and 'Black Lives Matter' signs. 

"Is it actually your birthday?  We don't like frauds in this house."

"I feel very lucky to be able to play Massey Hall before it closes in October (crowd surprised). I felt the same way.  Is it going to close? It is going to close 18 October I believe so I just snuck in here.  It is going to close. Is it not going to close?  This would be very embarrassing. It is going to close for two years for refurbishment. This is not going to plan!"

"Could I please get the house lights up for a second. I want to say just quickly it means more to me than you know that you are here tonight, that you have taken the time to come out and spend some time with me, thank you so much. I would like to ask you a favour, I would like you to join hands with the person next to you, all the way around, both sides. Yes put your phone away."

"We are all together in this room, we all love each other, I love you very much, thank you so much for being here tonight than you you are so nice to me everytime I come to Canada, you are truly wonderful Find someone in the audience you don't know and give them a hug, EMBRACE!"
