Coca-Cola Roxy, 800 Battery Ave SE Suite 500, Atlanta, GA

The Coca-Cola Roxy is a far cry from all of the other venues Harry has played so far. It opened in April 2017 in The Battery Atlanta, next to Sun Trust Park, home of The Atlanta Braves (Baseball). 

However, it's origins are from the original Coca-Cola Roxy that was located in Buckhead. It opened in 1930 as a movie theatre then a cinema/draft house and then as The Roxy.

It was owned by Peter Conlon (Live Nation Atlanta president) and Alex Cooley. On its reopening in 1990 Aretha Franklin performed and famous names followed – Johnny Cash, The Ramones, Elton John, Motley Crue. The venue had a unique rock vibe and was one of the South East's premier music venues before it closed in 2008. 

Much of the memorabilla from Buckhead was included as part of the $3m spent on the new Roxy interiors. 

The front wall at the entrance is covered in replica posters of acts who played at the original in Buckhead and are from the personal collection owned by Peter Conlon. 

The venue is two-tiered with the floor in front of the stage flat, not sloped.  Six huge chandeliers and red velvet curtains drape the walls. 

On the second floor there is a wall length mural depicting scenes from the old Roxy. 

Hung over the bar of the VIP room there is a grinning Elvis head and the four artist dressing rooms are burgundy; a colour associated with Buckhead. 

Other memorabilia includes Robert Plant's encased pants from a 1995 show at The Omni, Altlanta to an autographed dressing room sign from Whitney Houston from the early '90s. 

The 53,000 square feet space has a 3000 capacity and is state of the art in sound, lights and production .  It will hold approx 40 shows per year from local, national and international artists and bands. 

Being a new and modern venue, it has all the touches you would expect - free Wi-Fi, four public bars with mood lighting that blinks softly behind and under the countertops and a lobby decorated with red and silver couches. 

The first band to play at the newly launched venue was British Indie rockers, Glass Animals.

Artists at the venue so far: John Mayer, Kesha, Modest Mouse, Bush, and upcoming The xx, Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats,  The Shins, and tonight Harry Styles!
