Edward' Torment #5 Part 5
Disclaimer: I do not own Fullmetal Alchemist or Gravity Falls. They belong to Hiromu Arakawa and Alex Hirsch respectively. I only own the OC characters.

Katelyn Johnston pushed open a heavy door of the basement she was in. The white room she had come upon before held signs that, much to her anger and increasing dread, horrible things had occurred in it. The bloodstains, and what was clearly vomit, on the floor only proved it for her. But it also proved that he was here, and he was close. She had to hurry though: her diversion would only distract the bastards who were running this place for so long.
Balancing perfectly on her wheels that served as her legs, she stood frozen in the doorway after racing down the corridor. The sight she came across in this dirty gray room made her worst fears be realized. The feeling of unhealthy worrying and dread all came to a head as her eyes were met with the person she had spent weeks searching for. All the sleepless nights had finally paid off, but self-blame welled up inside her as she took in Edward's condition.
There were scars and burn marks all over his body. There was a vicious wound at his left hip that looked like it had been cauterized. He was thin and ragged, covered in his own vomit. To Katelyn's horror, the blood that drenched the boy's inner thighs and dripped down his legs had pooled down onto the floor. There was another white stain on the floor that the young woman knew all too well.
"Edward!" she cried, her long, wavy brown hair billowing out behind her as she rushed forward. Her black, yellow, and white dress swished at the skirt as she screeched to a halt on her wheels. Very cautiously, she reached out her black, skeletal hands towards him. He hadn't reacted to the sound of her voice, his head remaining bowed. Her oversized hands brushed against his hair.
As soon as she touched him, Ed violently jerked away from her. His ankles were stuck in place, and the chain wrapped around his wrists rattled. "No more! No more, please! I'll do whatever you want, just please, stop! I don't want it anymore!" Katelyn was taken aback by the outburst. Her initial shock was soon replaced with overwhelming concern. The only thing that occupied her mind was Ed's wellbeing. Nothing else mattered.
"Edward, calm down! It's me, it's Katelyn! I'm here." She did her best to speak in a soothing tone, her ringed, amber gaze holding steady. She avoided touching him again until he stopped struggling and finally looked up at her. His dull, golden orbs pained Katelyn. He was staring at her as if she couldn't be real. But after a few seconds, his face crumpled as he started to sob again.
"Katelyn..." he choked out. "It's you." The young woman's face softened once the young teen realized who it was. She gave him a small smile. "Yeah," she confirmed. "I'm here to get you out."
Ed continued to sob violently, his shoulders shaking. "Please, Katelyn," he begged her, "I don't wanna be here anymore. I wanna go home." The young woman felt her own tears prick at her eyes. He sounded so broken, like a scared child. She knew that he was a child, a child who was too fragile to go through something like this. A child that she had to protect. But she had even failed at that. She started to examine the boy's bonds, now having a closer look at his injuries. With a feeling of pity and self-blame, it was made clear to her that Ed had been raped. She refocused her amber eyes back to the teen. "Don't worry, Ed. I'm gonna take you home."
Katelyn quickly got to work, bending down at the ankle cuffs that secured Ed to the floor. Tugging at the lock, the thick metal broke under the pressure of her superhuman strength. Ed's muscles trembled as he tried to hold up his weight on his toes. The young woman straightened up to gauge the hook that he was hanging from. She reached up to the chain, trying to pull it apart. It was more difficult than she anticipated. She tried to speed up her efforts. Ed himself was clearly impatient to be released from his bonds, and she didn't know how much longer she had before someone realized she was here.
"Well, well, well, look what we have here." The voice made Katelyn freeze in her tracks, halting what she was doing. Ed's expression had changed to one of pure terror at the sound of it. He apparently knew who this was. Very slowly, she turned her head to direct her gaze towards the entrance of the room. The man standing there had a cocky smirk on his face.
Léon took a few steps forward. Katelyn lowered her arms, turning towards him defensively. The earth alchemist had the urge to chuckle. It was cute for him to see the fearsome warrior trying to protect Edward. "That form of yours lives up to your reputation, Katelyn. Most people would call you a demon."
A flash of shock flickered across Katelyn's face. She had no idea how he knew her name. She decided not to acknowledge it. "The people who say that don't really know me," she shot back.
Léon smiled at her, closing his eyes. "You're right. They don't. " He opened his eyes slowly. "But I do." He took a few more steps towards her and Edward. "And one thing you should learn," he continued, "is that you should've done your research about me."
A flash of blue light caught Katelyn by surprise. Above them, the ceiling started to cave in. She rushed forward, summoning what looked like a giant wheel in a flash of yellow light. Holding it above her head, Katelyn caught the boulders, holding up what was left of the ceiling. She strained under the weight, the metal shield creaking. Grunting from her efforts, she cast an angry glare at Léon, who had sidestepped out of her way. He still had that cocky smirk on his face as he returned her gaze.
"You know, despite your age, you're still incredibly naive." Léon directed his gaze above them. Katelyn followed where he was looking, and gasped when she saw that only part of the ceiling had collapsed. She was the only one standing under the crumbling structure. The ceiling above Edward was completely intact.
Katelyn looked back at Léon, furious. "You're an alchemist," she said in disdain. The older man responded to her by showing her his tattooed palm. She scowled at the sight of it. She kept her withering glare fixed on Léon as he faced away from her. "Edward," he addressed the young boy, dismissing Katelyn entirely. "I heard you agreed to work with us." Ed stared in horror at the earth alchemist, his heart pounding inside his chest. "However," Léon continued, "you only said that because you know that's what we want to hear." He started to casually walk towards the half-freed teen. Ed began struggling as Léon closed the distance between them.
"Stay away from him, you bastard!" Katelyn shouted as Léon made his way over to Edward. She lunged at the man, her shield vanishing. The crumbling ceiling fell the rest of the way to the floor. Some rocks hit her back as she rushed forward, knocking her down. When the dust settled, she attempted to get up, but something kept one of her wheels pinned to the floor. She looked behind her to see that the heavy boulders rested on top of her right wheel. She tried to tug her leg out from under the debris, but it wouldn't budge. She cursed under her breath, realizing she was stuck. She returned her glare to Léon, who was slowly circling Edward like a vulture, ignoring Katelyn's outburst.
"You need to learn that this will never end even if you give up. You have to realize that you will never be able to get away from us, no matter how hard you try." Léon stopped directly behind him, Ed's heart lurching at Léon's words. He knew all along that that would be the case, but hearing it made the despair inside him weigh that much more. "No, Ed," Léon continued, "you will never get away. Not from me." To Katelyn's daunting horror, she watched helplessly as Léon started unclipping his belt.
Ed struggled more vigorously. "No, please, I'm begging you! No more! I don't want it anymore!" He kicked out wildly, trying to land any blows on the earth alchemist. But his muscles were too weak. He could barely move at all. His strength soon ran out. Léon's face stretched into an evil grin as he dropped his pants and undergarments, letting them fall to the floor.
"You motherfucker! He's just a kid!" Léon glanced over at Katelyn, his attention drawn by her outburst. Her expression held a mix of rage and fear, though he knew it wasn't a fear of him. No, she was worried about the boy. He could have laughed in glee. Oh, how perfect this was!
"A child, you say?" the older man asked. "I think Edward here decided to grow up as soon as he joined the military. Besides, it's not like this is anything he isn't used to." Léon enjoyed the image of Katelyn's face contorting in rage. She went back to futilely attempting to free herself from under the collapsed section of ceiling. He moved up behind Edward, who was still struggling. "Just think of this as a lesson for the both of you." He gripped the boy's shoulder, his rapidly swelling length poking at his entrance. "Both of you are children who must learn to respect authority. Otherwise, this world will be ruled by chaos." With that, he shoved his growing erection deep inside of Edward.
The blond teen screamed from the pain. This was the first time that Léon had been inside him like this, and it hurt just as much as he had expected. The earth alchemist pulled out only to dive back in, burying himself deeper inside the small form. Katelyn started clawing at the ground with her skeletal hands, but unfortunately gaining no purchase. She struggled under the rocks, trying to dislodge herself, but to no avail. She could do nothing as this man violated Edward right in front of her.
Ed was screaming and begging for Léon to stop. The man ignored him, pounding into the teen in a steady rhythm. Blood leaked from the boy's overstretched hole, running down his already stained legs. Katelyn eventually came into his line of sight, the girl herself still struggling under the debris. His desperate hope was placed into something new. "Katelyn!" he cried out. The young woman snapped her head up at the sound of her name. Her expression was filled with pain and remorse, even more so now at the sight of Edward calling for her, and she could do nothing to help him.
"Katelyn!" Edward begged. "Help me! It hurts! Katelyn, please!" He was cut off as another scream escaped him. Léon had thrust harder and faster, trying to reach his climax. Katelyn couldn't hold in her fear anymore. "Stop it! Please, stop it!" She banged her fist on the floor as she pleaded with Léon. It only spurred the man on. Finally, he came, filling the boy with his seed. Katelyn watched in horror as some of it dripped down Ed's legs and onto the floor.
Katelyn's mind slowed to a crawl. Her entire world was engulfed by the fact that she had just witnessed Ed get raped. Red filled her vision. She clenched her fists, stopping her struggling. Her anger was directed at the man who was responsible for this, for all of it. Her gnawing anxiety and stress, the state that Edward was in. It was his fault. But it was also her fault too. And that hurt more.
With a rage-filled cry, Katelyn used her energy to partly manifest her chariot. Encased in yellow light, the large, spindly legs lifted the heavy boulders, freeing her. Léon watched in shock and surprise as this unfolded, in the middle of zipping up his pants. Katelyn brought herself to her feet, her wheels turning, shooting her forward. Léon had to take a moment to register that he was pressed against the far wall behind Edward. Katelyn had shot past the trapped alchemist, grabbing him and slamming him against the wall. He noticed that she had summoned her ridged sword and had pressed it against his neck. It was black, the blade edged in yellow. The end of the blade was curved up to a sharp point, making one side of it flat, and the other sharp and threatening. The hilt was gripped tightly in her skeletal grasp. There was murder in her eyes.
"If I hadn't swore to myself to never kill humans," she ground out, voice low and dangerous, "then you would already be dead." Her amber eyes were piercing, as if trying to dig deep down into his soul. Léon smirked in the face of her fury. He knew she was just trying to be intimidating, but dishing out empty threats, from a child no less, wasn't going to work on him.
"Tell me, Katelyn," the older man sneered, "how far will that sense of mercy get you? I'll tell you now that the only thing mercy is good for is to get you killed."
The young woman pressed the blade further into his flesh. A thin trickle of blood ran down Léon's neck. "It's worked for me so far."
The earth alchemist continued to sneer at her. "You won't kill me, but I know you won't let me leave." He chuckled. "You don't think I'll come back for him?"
"I'll take my chances." With that, Katelyn moved her sword away from his neck, only to bash the end of her hilt against the man's temple. He crumpled to the floor, unconscious. Staring down at his still form for a moment, she slowly rolled on her wheels back in front of Edward. The boy stared at her the whole time, grateful that she was still able to hold back her anger in a situation like this. He had an expectant look in his eyes.
"I'm sorry," Katelyn said to him, sadness and regret in her amber eyes. The ripples in her irises always reminded Ed of a water surface disturbed by a drop. With a flick of her wrist, the strange-looking girl used her sword to safely slice apart the chain holding Edward up. He collapsed into her, his legs giving out. He instinctively wrapped his arms around her waist, pressing his face into the ruffles of her dress. "Thank you," he whispered, loud enough for Katelyn to hear him. The young woman was initially taken by surprise, but she returned the embrace after he spoke. One of her arms pressed him closer to her body, while the other slowly stroked his head with her skeletal hand. "No problem," she said. "It's not like I was gonna leave you behind." More tears leaked from his eyes. The teen finally felt safe in Katelyn's arms.
Katelyn pulled back slightly to look at him. "Can you walk?" she asked. Edward slowly shook his head. Katelyn just smiled at him. "Don't worry, I'll carry you." She moved her hands to the boy's shoulders. "We should hurry and get out while we still can." After she said that, the entire building shook again, this time creaking and groaning, as if the foundation couldn't hold up the weight anymore. "Did you do that?" Ed asked as Katelyn bent down for him to climb on her back. She held up the boy's legs, making sure he wouldn't fall off.
"Yeah, I kinda damaged the structure a little," she admitted a bit sheepishly. "Only way I had to distract everyone." The corner of her mouth curled up into a smirk.
Having wheels for legs really did come in handy. With them, Katelyn could reach incredible speeds. However, she didn't need that kind of speed now. As they exited the gray room, whose entrance was still intact after Léon had partially collapsed the ceiling, Edward asked, "Where are the others?"
Katelyn's face turned serious. "I had to knock them out too." Ed's face scrunched up in confusion. She was going to leave unconscious men inside a crumbling building. To his knowledge, no one could survive that. Even though she didn't directly spill their blood, he was still uneasy about this decision. But he decided to leave it be.
They raced past what used to be Ed's prison cell. The boy himself didn't even glance at it. Katelyn turned down another hallway, towards a ladder leading up out of the basement. It certainly was awkward, but Katelyn was able to climb onto the rungs, pushing open the hatch at the top. They ascended into what appeared to be a large storage room. Nothing much was in it except for a few boxes.
Slamming the hatch door shut, Katelyn bashed open the door of the storage room, bringing them out into a grand lobby. It was dark outside, the only light coming from the waning moon. The building continued to shake and rumble, about to come down. Katelyn charged towards the glass doors at the end of the lobby, nearly smashing them as she pushed them aside. She continued to put distance between them and the building so that no debris could injure them. Once they were safely away, Katelyn turned around so they both could watch what appeared to be an office complex falling apart. It was strange to finally see the place he was trapped in for days being destroyed, probably taking Léon and his goons along with it. He tried not to think too hard about it.
When all the dust settled, Katelyn's body began emanating a yellow light. In a bright flash, the young woman's form had completely changed. She looked more human now. Her hair was the same, but now she was wearing a red Hollister t-shirt, jeans, and cowboy boots. Her sparkling blue eyes stared at what used to be an office building.
After a few seconds of condemning silence, Katelyn craned her head to glance at Edward. "We should get you to a hospital," she said. "You must be cold." She intentionally ignored mentioning the wounds all over the boy's body, as well as what damage had occurred internally. Without another word spoken between them, the shape-shifting girl carried Ed towards a small parking lot about twenty feet away from where the building once stood. There was a motorcycle there, an emblem displaying Harley Davidson on the front.
As soon as they reached the bike, Katelyn gingerly eased her charge onto the leather seat. He sat on it sideways, unable to properly ride it due to his injuries. Katelyn moved to the front of the bike, swinging her leg over on the footrest. Edward turned his upper body so that he could circle his arms around the young woman's waist, holding on tightly. Katelyn turned the handle on the motorcycle, revving up the engine. With a push, the bike sputtered forward, the headlight shining brightly ahead of them in the darkness. With a deep purr, they sped off towards the nearest hospital, their hair whipping around them from the wind.

Author's Note: Uggghhhh, school sucks. It's been so long since I've been able to upload another chapter. I still haven't had time to work on this story. Hopefully I will soon.
So, this is the first time I've introduced this OC. To those of you who watch anime religiously, then you might know of a short series called Black Rock Shooter. It's one of my favorites, simply because of the animation. If any of you know what I'm talking about, you'll probably notice that my OC character's form has a similar design to Chariot. There are only some slight design differences, such as in her dress, her sword, and of course, her hair. And, if you probably guessed, my OC can summon her form at will. She mainly uses it for combat, but she's still a badass without it, too. Her personality and opinions are also completely different from the character who represented Chariot in Black Rock Shooter. With all that information, I hope you guys liked her. She's going to play a main role in the crossover I'm planning on writing later.
Praise is appreciated and constructive criticism is encouraged.
