Kaya was at her part time job at a pizzeria. She cleaned some tables and then heard someone walk inside. There she saw her friend that always hang out with her at school but is always busy after.

Kaya: Oh hey April.

April: Hey Kaya.

Kaya noticed that April looked tired and kinda sad. She had noticed it alot.

Kaya: Why so sad and tired? Have this Donnie dude you always talk about got a girlfriend?

April giggled a little.

April: No.

Kaya: Then what is it?

April: It's kinda a long story.

Kaya pulled out a chair at a table.

Kaya: Sit down and tell me.

April sat down and started to talk.

April: Some friends of mine is looking for their father that disappeared some weeks ago. Me and Casey is helping but we still can't find him.

Kaya: Why not just call the police?

April: He's special. It hurts when I see them sad after a day of searching. They love their father and I don't think they can take it much longer.

Kaya saw tears running down April's face and then wiped them away.

Kaya: I know how ut feels losing parents it's not good. But your friends can't give up. They'll find him. I know it.

April smiled and then thought about Kaya.

April: Hey Kaya. If you and Nya need help then you can talk to me.

Kaya: I know April. It's just I wanna take care of Nya like mom and dad did for me. And I would love to get your help but I don't wanna drag you into my problems.

April: Kaya. You're a teenager not an adult. You're suppose to live your life, not growing up to fast. And I don't care if you don't want help, i'm gonna help you if you want it or not.

Kaya felt the pressure coming out of her eyes in the form of tears. April hugged her, letting her tears stain her shirt.

April: It's okay. I'm here for you.

They pulled apart.

Kaya: You're right April. Sometimes I feel sad leaving Nya home alone while I work. But I don't have a choice. I need the money. Or else we gotta live outside.

April: It's okay. How about this. Next time you need to work late. I'll stay with Nya. What do you say.

Kaya thought about it and it was a good idea, but then she thought about Splinter. What if April sees him, freaks out and call some lab that take him away. But she can just tell him to hide till april leaves or he could pretend to be a normal rat.

Kaya: That's sounds good. How about next week?

April: Sounds good.

Kaya: Thank you so much. But what about your friends?

April: I tell them the truth. They've won't say no.

Kaya: How come I got a friend like you?

April: Because you have.

They laughed. And Kaya was happy to have April. The question now is what's gonna happen when April look after Nya next week?
