Dazai hummed as he scrolled through his past messages on his phone. "I'm so bored, Kunikida-kun... What should I do?"

"Do your work," Kunikida replied curtly, working diligently on his own paperwork and typing on his computer at the same time.

"But Kunikida-kun~ I don't want to~" he whined, leaning back in his chair that squeaked quietly in protest at the sudden movement. "Can't you dance for me?"

"I'm not here to entertain you, you bandage wasting device."

A few minutes passed by in silence. "You know.. I haven't seen Naomi-chan in a long while. I wonder if she's given up on defending her brother," Dazai pondered. "Do you think the President gave her a month off to let Tanizaki try to romance Atsushi-chan?"

Kunikida absentmindedly sighed, forgetting that his paper from his journal landed on Atsushi's desk a few chapters back. "Naomi quit and moved out of her shared apartment with Tanizaki," he explained, deciding to humor Dazai for a few minutes. "No one knows why, because she left without a word, or even a note. She only told the President, and that's the only reason we're not searching for her."

"Suspicious," Dazai hummed again. "Maybe Naomi-chan ran off to the Port Mafia to try to better herself to earn Tanizaki-kun's attention back from Atsushi-chan."

"That's.. oddly specific." Kunikida organized his papers into a folder as he talked with Dazai. "Speaking of Nakajima and Tanizaki.. Did you text them to be here for the meeting? It won't start without them."

"I did, but Tanizaki didn't even bother to reply!" Dazai slumped over his desk, his aura gloomy. His chair again squeaked quietly in protest. The Armed Detective Agency needs to invest in new chairs, he thought.

"What about Nakajima?"

"She blocked my number a day ago because I spam texted her. I was just trying to tell her that at any point she can commit lover's suicide with me."

Kunikida bit back a chuckle. "If you spam text someone, of course they'll block you. Especially if you're asking them to commit suicide with you."

Another few minutes passed in silence, filled with only the sound of Kunikida tapping keys on the keyboard belonging to the computer.

"We should get Ranpo-san to figure out if Atsushi-chan is safe," Dazai suddenly spoke. "Where is he, anyways?"

"In the President's office-"

"Heyo!" Ranpo suddenly burst out of the President's office. "Did someone call for the  Great Detective Ranpo?"

"Wow, that's a cool entrance," Kenji complimented, rubbing at his eyes to get the tiredness away. He had just woke up from his nap.

"Thanks," Ranpo nodded towards him before basically collapsing onto his chair. "I'm so tired.."

"What's the matter, Ranpo-san?" Dazai glanced at the detective.

"The worlds are colliding and the President wants me to come up with the solution," he replied, yawning. "I don't really want to, though~"

"Eeh? But Ranpo-san, if you don't come up with a solution, all the candy shops will be gone," Kenji reasoned. "Isn't that reason enough?"

Ranpo immediately stood up. "You're right, Kenji! How could I be so blind?"

That's his motivation? Kunikida mentally thought, watching the scene unfold from the sidelines.

"Special Ability: Ultra Deduction!" He shouted, using as much dramatic flair as he could, even going as far to have Kenji wave his cloak-thing(?).

"What's the plan?" Dazai snickered slightly when he saw Kenji happily helping out.

"To stop the worlds from colliding, we must have Atsushi return to her own world and vice versa," he answered, a indescribable glint in his eyes. He looked like he had more to say, but didn't say anything more.

Dazai suddenly stood up from his desk. "There must be another option," he seriously replied. "Ranpo."

He nodded slowly. "There is, but it's risky."

"I'll take those risks if it means I get to be with Atsushi-chan longer. What's the other option?"

"The other option is a bit ridiculous," Ranpo opened up a sucker, tossing the wrapper into the trash can by his desk. He waited a few seconds to build up tension and suspension. "We need to get Atsushi-chan a lover from this world."

"That's.. That's it?" Shocked, Dazai stared at him. "What are the risks?"

"The other Atsushi needs to-"

—> Male Atsushi Nakajima

Atsushi and Akutagawa fought off Tanizaki's captors, and retreated to Atsushi's apartment. Akutagawa (the female one) who accompanied Atsushi decided to find the female Chuuya first and agreed to meet up later.

"Tanizaki-san? Tanizaki-san, wake up.."

Tanizaki's eyes fluttered open slowly. "Atsushi?" He sat up, rubbing at his eyes. "Hang on, you're really.."

"Why are you so confused at seeing me?" Atsushi confusedly asked him.

"Ah, sorry," Tanizaki uncomfortably laughed. "I'm used to seeing the female version of you, so I was a little shocked."

Atsushi sweat dropped. "That's a little weird, Tanizaki-san. Anyways, why did the Port Mafia try to kidnap you?"

"I'm not sure. My guess is that they're getting serious about getting you, and wanted to try to use me as leverage."

"I guess that makes sense, but.." the weretiger sighed. "We should go to the Agency, if you're feeling alright now."

Tanizaki nodded, and stood up. "I am. Let's go."

—> Female Atsushi Nakajima

"Chuuya? What are you doing here?" Atsushi asked her, turning her body to face the small female. "Hold on, you're.."

Chuuya recoiled her hand from Atsushi's shoulder and shook her head. "Sorry, I thought you were someone else." She quickly scurried away in the direction of the Port Mafia's headquarters.

"But Atsushi is my name?.." She confusedly watched Chuuya go before going to the Agency.

There's some things I'd like to clear up as this fic goes on.

-When Ranpo got attacked by the fire ability user, the user only set a paper on fire as a warning before jumping out the window

-The Guild is in Yokohama, but they won't do anything because I decided they'd just be peaceful to keep the fic not-confusing

-Naomi, Tanizaki's sister, was a main obstacle in the way of Tanizaki trying to romance Atsushi so I decided she would just stay with a relative outside of the city but she only told the President because she didn't want to cause trouble, which caused some gossip to float around

-Mitakai has the ability "Another City" that switched the Atsushis. His wife, Tenko, is the fire ability user. The Port Mafia killed Tenko so that's why you haven't seen her

-the person who helped male Atsushi + crew to the other world is just a side character and doesn't matter

-Kyouka Izumi is in the Agency, but is on a mission in another city while all this is going on so that's why you haven't seen her either

-the fic will most likely just have 20 or so chapters, excluding endings. it depends on how I feel

-I will include notes if needed in the future
