An Unfamiliar Home

"Oi, perhaps we could find a way outta here before we starve ourselves to death. We got some money, so maybe we can go out and eat?" Gusto said after grabbing his stuff off the table.

"This place is so empty, what were we doing here?" Jack asked looking around and eventually spotting the Exit sign. "We can leave." He said pointing out as he did, both of their phones buzzed in their pockets.

BUZZ. BUZZ. BUZZ.

"We should probably pick that up, eh?" Gusto said with a frown. They both grabbed their phones out of their pockets and pressed the answer button. The phone's automatically turned to speaker mode.

"You two need to stay together. You'll be needing each other. The first location, should we mention. A place that stores many content. Prints with words of dedication. Concluded with a finalized fabrication. This is your time. Make things right and fine. Or you will be fined. Then look for a piece of paper. That looks unfamiliar. For now we'll see you later." The phones crackled then silenced. And Jack and Gusto lowered their phones and put them back into their pockets.

"Stay together? That seems pretty forced," Jack said to Gusto. "By the way the names Jack, Jack Johnson." Jack raised a brow and gestured it towards Gusto (pronounced Goo-stoe).

"Gusto. Gusto Demetri." The Russian said with a nod and a firm handshake." They both did in the middle of the warehouse for awhile and pondered what the voice on the other side of the line meant.

"A place that stores a lot of content, and fabricated? Whatever that meant; this had to be some sick game." Jack said with a flustered exhaled breath. He rolled his eyes and doubted the man behind the other line and thought about doing something else, but he wondered what Gusto had thought.

"What do you think about this scenario?" Jack said with a frown and gestured for Gusto to follow him to the Exit.

"I think this is a load of bull crap." He said with a frown. He shrugged and followed Jack to the Exit and something was itching at Jack as he opened the door to an empty parking lot that merged into the streets of Washington DC and were immediately blinded by the incoming daylight unexpectedly struck them, causing them to feel temporarily blind due to the excessive light.

They used their arms to shield themselves from the blinding sunlight. Car horns were honking and the sounds of people walking and talking on their phones and a kid was holding an ice cream with vanilla scoops. The heat was unreal, and it felt as if it were summer.

Jack checked his phone for the date. He turned it on on the lockscreen and the time read 10:55 a.m. July 12th 2015.

Just eight days after the Fourth of July. Jack wondered how he remembered it, but nothing else was triggering his thought process.

A place that contains content with actual fabrication. It didn't make sense, all of this didn't make sense.

"Let's get something to eat." Gusto said looking around and peering for a place to eat. "I'm famished." His accent was heavy at the end, but he seemed to not care. "Ah, a burger joint. Down the street- I think we're looking good 'nough." In fact they were just fine, they wore casual clothes. Some nice shoes, and had money. It wasn't like the people who left them in that cargo

"Sure I could eat something. Also, did you know that the Fourth of July was eight days ago?" Jack said with uncertainty in his voice.

"Um what- oh yeah that." Gusto said with a shrug. "I remembered that I don't follow American holidays that much." Gusto said with a hint of uncertainty in his voice.

Jack furrowed a brow as the two started walking side by side. He had a strange feeling that someone was watching him from behind. He kept his eyeballs at a glance consistently as they walked down the street and made their way towards a burger joint to discuss about what they were going to do and where they needed to go.

Hopefully food will help them settle down and think about what they needed to do to solve that riddle. They walked into the burger joint and took their seats. A waitress dressed in a blue dress with a gold name tag and the name read Janet she helped sit the two men and gave them their menus.

"Can I get you two anything to drink?" Janet asked, "my name is Janet and I'll be your waitress for today." Janet said with a cordial smile that seemed too dramatically practiced.

"What kind of products do you have?"

"We have Coke Products sir." She said to Gusto.

"Aye, could I get a Diet Coke." Replied Gusto with a nod and looked to his partner.

"And I'll have a regular Coke." Jack said with a nod.

"Okay I'll get you two your drinks and if you need more time to order I'll be back around in about ten minutes after the drinks." Janet quickly upded and left to fetch the drinks and returned fairly quickly, but left again as she needed to finish up with the other tables beside them.

It gave them time to look over the menus and figure out what the answer to the riddle was. Hopefully.
