Chapter Two

Dean wasn't new to traveling back in time. He had traveled back in time more than once. But this time it was different. This time he was back in time with his sister-in-law and his son who was talking with Rowena, a witch that he didn't get along with. She was never on anyone's side, in fact, if Rowena was communicating with his son then that meant trouble. For years ever since Ezra was born, he wanted to keep his son safe especially from witches like Rowena. Hell, he never even thought Rowena knew Ezra even existed. But now here they were, in a village with men, women, and children dressed in clothes that was strange to the era. Everywhere they walked, the villagers would stare at them. One woman stared at them with a scared expression. Dean looked over at her giving her the side eye. The girl flinched and entered her home.

"Okay, we need to figure out where we are." Kristina said.

"Maybe one of the townspeople know?" Ezra suggested and noticed a woman who was busy fetching water from a nearby river, he approached her calmly when the woman looked at them she backed away briefly. "We will not hurt you, ma'am we just want to know what year it is."

"It's 1522," the woman said. "Who are you?"

"We're new here," Kristina said. "We were wondering if you could point us to the nearest shop?" the woman sat her water bucket down and pointed just a few feet away to a woman with red hair who was busy getting the clothes organized for the next customers.

"Rowena.." Dean said under his breath.

"It better not be.." Kristina said.

"We should be careful, she's a snake I don't know what she has planned but I intend to find out." Dean responded. They approached the store where Ezra cleared his throat. The red-headed woman looked up and saw them. Suddenly a smirk appeared on her face, like she was glad they came across her.

"I see you've found me," Rowena said confirming her identity and noticed Dean, from Rowena's reaction, Dean knew she was expecting him as well. "Nice to see you again Dean, didn't think that the great Dean Winchester would have a son."

"Can it Rowena, I don't trust you as far as I can throw you." Dean responded.

"Is that why you have that blade hanging by your side?" Rowena asked as Dean's hand found the handle. "And i'm taking a wild guess and say that you're Kristina, and young Ezra Winchester. It's Fancy seeing you here, I guess you got my messages?" Rowena's Scottish accent poured out of her mouth. "Its good to meet you in person."

"Yeah," Kristina said sarcastically. "Look, we're here because we got zapped into a scroll, and I guess we know who zapped us here?"

"Rowena," Ezra said. "Can you at least help us fit into this era?" Rowena examined them from top to bottom to see how much work had to be done.

"I guess I could make this work. Please, come in." Rowena led them inside the store, paying no mind to the onlookers that surrounded them.

King Henry VII sat in his throne room, deep in thought. He was thinking a lot about the other villages that refused to obey his command. His brown eyes remained focused on absolutely nothing when his general entered the room. He wore a red shirt with a chest plate and a helmet with a bright red feather sticking out of it.

"Sire," the General said and bowed to his king. "You requested to see me?"

"Yes," King Henry said. "How are the underlying villages? Have they decided about being part of my kingdom?" The general shook his head. "What do you mean, no?"

"Forgive me sire," the General started. "But there's talk in the village."

"About what?"

"Strangers, my lord, people who fell from the sky and wore strange clothes," the general continued. "People in these villages, they talk about someone saving them from their way of living."

"Your holding back information," Henry complained, getting up from his throne and walking over to the general. "What are they talking about?"

"Meaning, they said a man with strange abilities will come and rescue them from their torture." The General answered and paused, waiting for the king to demand to know more. Except, the king thought about it. He believed that if he could find this man and figure out what type of powers he got, King Henry might put the villagers in line and force them to listen.

"Where were they last seen?" King Henry asked.

"The lower village of Glamorgan," said the general. "They were last seen with a redheaded woman and she knows a lot about them. What are your orders, sire?"

"Figure out what these villagers are talking about. If indeed this is a person with special powers, then maybe he could be of use to us," Henry ordered. "Go! And don't come back until you know who it is!" The general bowed and walked out of the throne room. He was now under orders to find this person and bring him to the king. If he would cooperate. King Henry made his way back over to his throne and sat down, a smirk appearing. Soon, if the rumors were true, he'd find out who this special person was and bring the country to its knees.
