Chapter 6

I didn't know how long I was out for...

All I remembered was crying out to Po when they took us away from each other. That memory stayed in my mind until I slowly woke up.

The first thing I felt was... cold metal?

I glanced at my arms, they were chained up to the ceiling in cuffs, and my legs were tied together, making me sit on the floor.

Then, I felt pain. I had massive bruises and little cuts on my arms, and a small, sharp pain rose in my knee. I realized that the wound was open, and it didn't help that it was bent as well.

I looked around. It was pretty dark, but I could make out that I was in some sort of prison room. It was freezing in there, and I heard shouting coming from outside.

Wait... Where's Po?

I looked around again. There was no trace of him anywhere.

Getting nervous, I tried to call out for him.

"P-Po...! Po- agh!"

My throat was too raw for me to scream as I started to cough up blood.

My ears flattened as I closed my eyes. Is he in another room? I hope he's safe...

Fear started to settle in again. This was just like Gongmen City, except... I was alone. I didn't know if I was going to get out of here, if Po was okay, and... I was so scared...

Tears started to come down my cheeks as I cried, my sobs echoing in the empty room. I felt like a small, scared kitten. I wanted to be back home; with my friends, my father, my... love.

Po... Somebody... Please help me...

The door of the prison room swung open, and I heard growling in front of me. I looked up and gasped in horror.

The same wolf that chased us earlier, was staring right at me with a cruel grin, baring his blood stained fangs and his claws extended.

He started walking towards me, licking his lips. I shook my head fearfully and began to scream.

"No...! Stay away! Please! STOP!!"

I tried to back away, but of course my arms and legs were of no help. The wolf then grabbed my neck, choking me while he raised his other claw.

I felt my heart drop as he prepared to strike. Without thinking, I screamed as loud as I could.

I'm so sorry, Po...!

Just as the wolf was about to end me, he howled in pain, and I saw a hand around his throat, forcibly taking his air supply.

I watched as his body fell to the side in a heap, his grip loosening on my neck, giving me the ability to breathe again. I stared at the corpse before looking up at my saviour.

I couldn't tell exactly what she was, but I could still see her due to fire surrounding her. Her eyes were different colors, but one thing was clear to me; fury.

The girl turned her head to me, and her face softened. We stared at each other for a moment before she moved towards me slowly, a soft smile on her face.

"Don't worry. I won't hurt you. I'm going to get you out of here, ok?"

Her voice sounded... warm and... safe. Nodding slowly, I watched her undo my chains and caught me as I fell over.

I felt so grateful... I started to cry as I hung onto her. The old me would've just brushed her help off but, the old me is gone now. I was far away from home, alone, and scared. It was time to give up on pride, and be honest with myself, and others, for once.

"T-thank you..." I sobbed as I held onto the girl tightly. A part of me was embarrassed, but I was on the brink of death a few seconds ago. I didn't care about anything else at that moment, but feeling grateful for being saved.

I felt her hug me back gently. "You're absolutely welcome. Let's get you out of here."

She picked me up bridal style, and I held onto her neck. I thanked her again before I slowly blacked out in her arms.

*Hey, guys. I hope you all are safe and happy. Chapter 6 is finally done! YES! Anyway, I hope you all enjoy."
