Not Bright White.
I feel we aren't moving anymore, slowly preparing my eyes for the bright white blast of the hospital. That wasn't what it was, it was a soft darkness on a sofa. My leg hurt still, it is wrapped up at least. I run my finger on to cotton rimmed bandage.
Wincing at I notice it was wrapped precisely at the top, then I hear the door open. It must be that guy. The hunger I feel is worse than my wound. "You awake, gorgeous?" He asks, I nod groaning. "Well, I got my trained friend to fix you up. You can't possibly want to eat nasty hospital food." He exclaimed, I don't even know this mans name.
Looking around for some sort of identity, I couldn't. "What do you want to eat? Well, it's pancakes or nothing. So take your pick." He laughed, I smiled. "Can I have pancakes?" I ask, standing up and limping over to him.
"Why did you save me? Anyone would probably leave me." I say to him, his eyes are dull. "Who wouldn't save someone as beautiful as you Harriet?" He asked me, smiling. I blushed in shame and in being very flattered to the comment.
