(Before we begin, I've just played Devil May Cry 2 and have decided I do want to do a segment on it, though it will likely be shorter than the others. I came up with an idea for a battle between Y/N and Arius which I think you will find interesting to read.)

Y/N POV

"You showed up."

I turned around and was somewhat surprised to see Dante coming up the stairs approaching us. I then remembered what Vergil had just explained to me, apparently he and Dante were twins and that would make him my half-brother as well.

Dante spoke up saying "You sure know how to throw a party. No food, no drinks and the only babe just left." Vergil responded in his usual stern tone however there was a hint of annoyance. "My sincerest apologies brother. I was so eager to see you, I couldn't concentrate on preparations for the bash."

Dante looked over at me and said "Oh Y/N. I'm surprised you made it here, cool. Though I suggest you get out of here, this is a family matter." A grin stretched across Vergil's face before he said "So, you two HAVE already met."

He paused for a moment before saying "Dante I want to introduce our little half-brother, Y/N." Everyone was plunged into silence for a moment as Dante took the information in. I could tell he was shocked from his expression however suddenly he smiled.

"Well, welcome to the family. I think you'll find us to be a strange bunch" He joked. I could tell that he was just trying to mask his true thoughts on the matter behind his usual joking, almost goofy persona, though I remained silent.

(I feel like I should mention that the only people to know of Y/N's existence prior to this book were Sparda himself, Eva, Y/N's mother, Arkham, Vergil and a villain who will be featured in the book later on.)

Dante soon returned his focus back to Vergil before saying "At any rate, it's been a whole year since we last met. How about a kiss from your little brother." Suddenly he drew one of his handguns and said "Or better yet, how about a kiss from this."

The twins stared each other down as I regained my footing and slowly approached them. Dante continued "So, this is what they call a heart-warming family reunion ay?" Vergil drew Yamato before snarling out "You got that right."

Instantly they dashed towards one another. To my surprise, I found myself doing the same. All three of us met in a clash in the centre of the tower. Sparks shot off our respective swords as Dante turned to me and said "I told you to get out of here."

I responded "Sorry Dante, but I can't let you face him alone." Dante simply nodded and we returned back to the matter at hand. We remained clashed for a few seconds before finally separating and forming a triangle around the tower.

Both me and Dante kept staring at Vergil who just looked between us. I charged forward first, I pulled out Cinder and fired a few shots however this was just a distraction. Vergil was too busy stopping the rounds therefore he couldn't react in time as I leapt over him and thrust outward in a slashing movement.

I actually managed to catch Vergil's side, earning a slight grunt from my oldest half-brother. Dante also dashed forward and went in for a stab attack however Vergil leapt upwards as well, dodging Dante's attack and hitting me with the hilt of his blade, stunning me and forcing me back to the ground.

As I landed I looked up as Vergil landed back in front of me. I dashed forward again and the two of us duelled for a moment, our respective blades Eclipse and Yamato clashed against one another over and over with neither of us letting up.

Once again, Dante joined in and the 2v1 battle continued, not that it was much good. I don't know why but I felt that Vergil had a constant edge and may have even been toying with us both. Suddenly though he stopped.

I just remained where I was as blue electricity began to build up around him and in an instant, his body was morphed. He no longer looked human and instead he resembled a demon.

Vergil turned to me and spoke "Behold Y/N. This is the power of our demon blood. Now you shall see this power first-hand." In the blink of an eye he dashed forward. He was too fast for me to react. I narrowly was able to dodge an attack from him.

I tried to retaliate however he lunged upward at speeds I didn't think possible. Dante attempted to shoot at him however he seemingly teleported behind Dante who was barely able to raise his own blade to defend.

Luckily for us, as quickly as Vergil had morphed into the is new form, he also reverted back to his more 'human' appearance. It seemed he could only maintain this demonic state in short bursts which worked for us.

Vergil and Dante both stared at one another, Vergil's hair had come down and now he looked identical to Dante. They eventually rushed towards one another and began trading a series of attacks back and forth.

Eventually Vergil knocked Dante back, sending him crashing into a nearby pillar. Dante soon recovered and pulled out one of his handguns shooting at Vergil however much like he did with me, Vergil stopped the bullets, lined them up and sent them back, Dante however slashed right trough them with ease.

Vergil spoke up suddenly asking, "Why do you both refuse to gain power?! The power of our father Sparda." I snapped "I only found out who my father was about ten minutes ago!" Dante however responded "Father? I don't have a father. I just don't like you that's all."

Dante rushed forward and the two continued battling, I stayed at a distance, out of harms way. Eventually the two clashed, staring hatefully into one another. Suddenly Vergil thrust upward, sending Dante's blade into the sky, this was then followed by him sending his blade outward and stabbing Dante through the chest!

He then said "Foolishness  Dante, foolishness. Might controls everything. And without strength you cannot protect anything. Let alone yourself." He swiftly withdrew his blade as Dante fell onto his back. I was left paused in shock, I didn't move an inch.

Vergil plucked some kind of amulet from Dante's neck and held it close before pushing his hair back again. Vergil picked up Dante's blade and walked away. I noticed Dante twitch slightly and slowly get back up however Vergil spun around and impaled him on his own blade.

I exclaimed "DANTE!" Before my mind snapped and I rushed forward, attacking Vergil without mercy. I don't know why I was so protective of Dante, even if he was my half-brother, I had only known him for a short amount of time.

I was blinded by rage and because of this, Vergil easily blocked each attack one after the other, the next thing I knew, I was stood with my back facing the sheer drop off the top of the tower. I looked back at the fall before suddenly being met with Yamato piercing my own body!

I gasped as the blade went in through my front and came out of my back. Vergil stared at me before saying "Get stronger Y/N. Learn to master the power of a demon and come and challenge me again. When you're ready, I will be waiting."

With that, he withdrew his blade and the next thing I knew I was falling off the top of the tower, Eclipse still firmly clutched in my hand. The last thing I remember before losing consciousness was seeing purple electricity build up around me. After that there was darkness...

Vergil POV

I watched as Y/N plummeted down below. Arkham came and stood next to me and asked "Did you recover a sample of his blood?" I responded "No, but there will be another time. He's not dead. He's only beginning to tap into his true potential..."

I've been planning this out for a while now, so I'd hope it is at least somewhat interesting to read, also this chapter and the last one were originally going to be a single chapter however I split them up so I didn't feel overwhelmed writing a massive chapter.
