Y/N POV

Following the demise of Abigail and his host Sid, me and Dante retraced our steps and soon exited the hotel once again. Even though Abigail was dead, his destruction had left the city in a dire state of repair, rubble and destroyed buildings dotted the landscape.

I was snapped out of my focus by Lady calling "Y/N!" While  Dante went over to Patty, I instead approached my partner and said "Well, I made it back with only minor injuries, I suppose I still owe you that pizza." Lady's reaction though caught me off guard.

First she appeared angry as she snapped "You think this is a joke?! You could have died!" She slapped me. "You could have lost an arm or something!" She slapped me again "The only plus side is that I'd get 100% of our payments without having to share!"

Her face calmed down as she said "But, I'm glad to see you back. I had thought Abigail would have killed you." I chuckled "Do you really have THAT little confidence in me Lady? How long have we been working together, you know I can handle myself."

Lady laughed as well before saying "Well what kind of partner would I be if I didn't worry about my associate?" We laughed together for a moment before falling into silence, now we just stared at one another. My E/C eyes looked directly into her heterochronic red and blue eyes. It was at this point I realized how stunning they were.

I don't know what made me do this, but the next thing I asked was "May I-?" Lady just looked at me and nodded. And in that moment I leaned forward and for the first time since I met Lady, we actually shared a kiss!

We both remained like this for a while before we were cut off by the voice of Dante saying "Well well, look at what we have here. I knew you two love birds would get at it eventually." Turning to face him, we saw he along with Trish, Morrison, Patty and her mother were all staring at us, this in turn caused a red tinge to appear on both our faces as we broke away.

Timeskip...

"Wait, you're doing what?!" Was the exclamation of Dante that could be heard even outside. Inside the office, he was sat on his chair with me standing directly in front of him. His eyes were wide in shock, while I just was grinning before replying.

"You heard me, I'm halving your debt to me." Dante couldn't contain his shock as he asked "But, why? Does Lady know about this?" I replied "No, she doesn't know. But I have my reasons. You know how it is."

We just stayed silent for a moment before I continued "You're my brother Dante, I don't want our relationship ruined by something like debts." Dante raised an eyebrow asking "Then why not wipe my debt entirely?"

To this I grinned before saying "I can't do that because you owe me too much. Besides, you need some incentive to cut down on the pizza and sundaes don't you think?" With that I abruptly turned around towards the door.

On my way out, Morrison was coming in so I addressed him with a simple "Morrison." He replied "Y/N." We nodded at one another before I headed out of the door. Outside, Lady was on her motorbike as she asked "So, did you have fun catching up?"

I replied "Oh yeah, we just straightened some things out." With that we both got on our motorbikes and set off towards our next contract.

Second Timeskip...

As we drove, we eventually came across a familiar green car that we knew belonged to Morrison. We pulled up along side it as Lady tapped on the window causing Dante to look at us and say "Sorry hot stuff, I'm on my way to a job."

This made me snap jokingly "Hey, no flirting, Lady's taken now!" Dante just laughed and said "Oh yeah, I'll need to remember that in future. Anyway, I don't really have time to hang out with you two just now."

To this Lady commented "My my, what a coincidence." That's when Trish pulled up on the other side say "We three are on our way to another job as well. I believe we're all going to the same place."

Morrison spoke up "So in other words-." Trish added "The payment for the lucrative job-." Lady then said "Goes to the fastest one of course." This made me add "I hope all four of us being there isn't overkill. I kind of want a warm-up."

Finally, Dante said "Fine, you're on ladies and bro, get on with it Morrison, floor it." With that we all went full speed, it was every person for themselves...

Author's Note: And that's it for this chapter, I'm going to take a brief break from this book now to work on the next segment of my Dragon Ball story however after that I will write this book all the way to the end, starting with DMC2.
