(Hello, I'm back on this book for the time being. Now I'm going to do this segment as well as maybe the DMC2 segment as well before taking another break to work on my the next segment of my Dragon Ball story, after that though, I will continue this one all the way to the end, sorry for any inconvenience and I hope you enjoy what's to come.)

Lady POV

I stood around in the pouring rain. I had a large black coat covering me up as I simply waited for my latest score, I knew if I waited long enough, my plan would work. And eventually, I got exactly what I was hoping for.

Running footsteps came towards me as I heard a man's voice suddenly asked "This rain sucks doesn't it?" I didn't respond, instead I ensured my face was hidden by the hood as I smirked to myself. The man however continued by asking.

"So, who're you waiting for? Your boyfriend?" He leaned closer, "Your husband?" I kept silent however this didn't stop him "You'll freeze if you hang around here. Hey, why don't you forget about your boyfriend and come with me. I'll find us a warm place. I can buy ya a nice dinner."

I just nodded, I hated going behind Y/N's back but for this plan to work, it was best he be kept out of it. The man instead said "Good answer little lady." With that, I walked away, he trailed after me with an umbrella.

We walked until we arrived at the warehouse and it was here where the man seemed nervous as he asked "What's going on in here? There's nothing here." It was now that I spoke for the first time since meeting this stranger as I replied "Is that what you think?" 

I walked over to a small locker and opened it, just as I expected, there were several human skulls inside, one of them fell out as the man asked "What's going on here?" I just stepped towards him and asked "What? Have you forgotten? That's so insensitive of you. Considering you're the very man responsible for this."

The man's eyes widened and I knew I had him. I explained "Recently there's been a string of women gone missing. Each one was picked up by some guy and treated to dinner. Then spent a night with him in a hotel and ultimately went missing when he brought them to this abandoned building."

The man laughed nervously saying "Come on, you think I did this? Give me a break, do I look like the kind of human being who'd do something like that?" I gave him a sideways glance and spat "You don't look like a human being."

It was at this moment that the man finally revealed his true nature, shifting into a demon and swiping at me with a clawed hand. I effortless dodged the attack with ease before returning several gunshots towards him.

As the demon's blood hit the ground, I spoke up "I prefer you in this form." With a roar, the demon continued to try and swipe at me however I just kept dodging the attacks. Unfortunately, it did manage to disarm me.

Luckily though, I soon recovered and pulled out my other handgun followed by my submachine gun. I opened fire once again, not letting up until the demon finally collapsed to the ground, dead.

I gave the demon a second glance before being interrupted by a voice behind me saying "Impressive skills." I turned around to see two men wearing sunglasses, trench coats and fedoras. I sternly asked "Who the hell are you guys?"

One of the men replied "My associate and I represent the Highway Department, we've been searching for you for some time now, you and your partner." The other one stepped forward "The female devil hunter, the one we've heard about who takes out any adversaries without fail, recently seen accompanied by a male partner who appears to be absent. Miss Lady."

I just narrowed my eyes at them before asking "What do you want from me?" The first of the two men responded "We might have a little job for you and your accomplice." I just stared at them for a moment waiting to hear what they had to say...

Timeskip...

Y/N POV

(I just want to mention that in this segment, Y/N still has his attire from the DMC1 segment since Dante kept his outfit from that game and Lady has her DMC3 outfit.)

I sat at a table in the hotel room, waiting. Waiting for what you may ask? Well I was waiting for my business partner who as of a few hours ago had abruptly done a runner on me. I knew wherever she had gone, she could handle herself, so I knew it was best to just wait for her in my hotel room, she had still left her stuff behind so I knew she would return.

And sure enough, I heard the door open behind me, I kept quiet until I heard her slow and quiet footsteps as she tried to probably no wake me. Little did she know, I had been awake for a few hours. I abruptly spoke up saying "I was wondering when you'd get back."

I must have startled her as she answered "Oh, Y/N. I thought you were still asleep." I slowly got up before turning around and saying "What, and let you have all the fun? I thought we were a team, splitting the effort and the reward 50/50."

Lady sighed and said "This was just something you wouldn't have helped with." I raised an eyebrow and asked "Was it that demon that was killing women?" Lady nodded and I began piecing together what I thought her plan was.

"So, you pretended to be an innocent bystander in order to get picked up by this demon so you could kill him?" Lady replied "Pretty much yeah." I grinned and said "Sounds clever. Well done Lady, consider yourself forgiven."

Lady then piped up "I did come across something to make it up to you though." I looked at her again with curiosity. She went on to explain "I was approached by two guys from the Highway Department, they had a job for us which I think sounds interesting."

"The Highway Department? Why would they want a job done by us?" Lady answered and explained the situation "Apparently there's a mysterious biker that's been spotted as of late around the city, he races against any biker he finds and anyone who beats him mysteriously dies. One key feature of this guy is a strange red light emitted by his bike and those who die do so by unknown causes."

I stared at her before asking "And you think there may be something demonic about these bizarre events?" She nodded and I added "Very well, where do you suppose we start, do we just ride our bikes and wait for whoever this guy is to show up?"

Lady grinned and said "Well actually, I had an idea. Perhaps we could have some fun and let HIM in on  the fun." I just looked at her, I knew who she was referring to and answered "Why? He owes us enough money as-is."

This caused Lady to retort "BUT, this way we can have a bit more fun with him, maybe even squeeze out a bit more money in the process. Come on, it would be fun." I sighed before saying "Fine, we'll do it your way then."

I guess it was time to pay my half-brother a visit...
