Y/N POV

Following with those knights that eerily resembled Nelo Angelo, I wasted no time getting back on the move. It was like V said, time was no longer a luxury we could afford and it was important that we find Urizen and put a stop to whatever he was doing.

After exploring for a short while and fighting my way through some lesser demons, none as interesting as those previous knights, I arrived in another large room, the only feature of this room was a large hole directly in the centre aside from that there was no other exits.

I headed towards the hole and leapt down it, here I found another room exactly the same so I dropped down that. And ANOTHER after that. Luckily this didn't go on forever and the final hole dropped me down in to a long corridor.

Up ahead, I grinned when I noticed Dante, V and Nero all regrouped at the end of it. I approached them, casually saying "Hey." Which caused them all to turn to face me, Dante commented "Oh good you finally caught up with us." Nero added in a snarky manner "Yeah, I was half expecting you to ambush and try to kill one of us again."

We all looked at him before I sighed and said "Nero, I'm sorry. But you have to understand that wasn't me. I wasn't myself when we fought, but I am sorry for the trouble I caused." V stepped forward and reasoned "He's right. Blaming Y/N for the actions of Eclipse would be like blaming you for Urizen's rise since he got Yamato from you."

Nero raised his hands and said "Hey, I was just joking. No hard feelings. Can we please get going now?" I nodded and said "Sounds good to me, let's get moving." All four of us turned and looked down the long path, Dante stating "Looks like we've still got a long ways to go."

Naturally, we headed in that direction, however shortly after venturing down the path, the area around us started violently shaking we stopped and staggered to regain our footing before abruptly, the ground broke from under us, causing all four of us to tumble down into the darkness below.

Between the darkness and the falling into some of the lowest regions of the Qliphoth, it seems we were split up once again. Because when I finally landed and looked around I initially saw no one around, however I soon found a path directly opposite me, since I couldn't go back the way I came, this was my best bet.

I muttered to no one in particular "Sorry boys, Urizen is mine." Taking Eclipse in hand I urgently pressed on deeper into the tunnel, intent on finding a way up. Of course, as was to be expected at this point, I wasn't alone for long.

Along the way to my objective, I fought wave upon wave of demons. Again they were no where near as interesting as those knights I fought. We're literally talking about those generic Empusa with the occasional Hell Caina here and there.

I fought my way past them, not as aggressively as I did when under Eclipse's influence. In fact I tried to keep it quick and simple to save as much time as possible. As I progressed, the terrain got different.

It went from just tunnels with the occasional chamber to a strange platforming experience, having to leap from platform to platform and soon the climate itself changed completely. Initially the tunnels were somewhat hot due to how craped they were however the deeper I got, it suddenly became much colder, with ice layering the walls.

Still I encountered more demonic opposition which I cut through as quick as possible and finally I arrived in a chamber where I was met with Dante already fighting a handful of those 'Nobody' demons. 

I sighed and muttered "Guess I should jump in." I drew Cinder and opened fire the rapid shots shredded through one of the demons causing Dante to look up at me and say "Well, again you finally show up! Guess we're stuck with one another now."

I leapt into the room and replied "Yeah, sure. Let's get this out of the way first." Dante laughed as we stood back to back, facing the demons head-on. We then leapt out and began rapidly slashing at them, between the two of us, it didn't take us long to get through them all.

Once that was dealt with I turned to Dante and asked "So, where are the others?" Dante shrugged and replied "I don't know. Lost track of them after we fell. Oh well, more for us." I nodded and said "Fair enough."

Together, we moved onwards until we finally came to yet another drop. Dante commented "Onward and downward. Or well better get to it." I replied "Lets go then." With that we both leapt down the hole at the same time.

As soon we landed, our heads snapped up as the sound of growls and roars. When I saw what was causing it, my eyes widened. A giant Cerberus was chained up in front of us, growling and snapping at its surroundings. Each of its heads seemed to emanate something different. One being ice, another was fire and the third was electricity.

Dante just grinned at the beast before us and approached. The Cerberus snapped "Leave at once! Only kings of the Underworld may enter these gates! You shall not pass!" I nearly made a joke about a book I read once in which a wizard said that same phrase, however before I could, Dante spoke up. "Easy there fella. Hey I remember a stinky little pooch just like you."

I stared at him baffled and asked "Wait, you fought one of these things before?!" Dante nodded and replied "Yeah, before I met you as well. And he was just as smelly as the dog here." The Cerberus snapped "You insult me! Foul-scented creature!" He continued blowing cold air at us that I raised my hand to protect my face from.

Dante continued to mock the beast "Looks like your master's got you on a pretty short leash. Come on little puppy. I'll take you for a walk, c'mon! Let's go." He began clapping his hands as if he was actually calling a puppy to him.

This only enraged the Cerberus further as he snapped "You have fought our kin in the past. But I am KING of the Cerberus tribe! They were weak! But WE will feast on your flesh! And gnaw on your bones!"

He began thrashing about, breaking the chains around him before roaring at us. Dante mocked "So, you're the strongest of the litter. Looks like we're gonna need a bigger leash. Come on!" 

The Cerberus head with fire around its mouth began to glow. It let out a sudden roar which sent a burst of fire around us. I commented "Ooh, you're warming things up. Thanks, it was kind of chilly in here."

The King Cerberus attempted to bite at us with its flaming mouths however both me and Dante leapt back and dodged. As we landed on either side of the frozen chamber, we both entered our Devil Triggers and raced forward.

We attacked the King Cerberus' sides managing to get some hits in right away. The beast abruptly swiped at us though, knocking us both back as it laughed and yelled "Fear me! Fear my flames!" Dante acknowledged "Huh, you're a bit tougher than the rest of your breed."

From there we just evaded attacks from the giant mongrel before Dante asked me "So Y/N, want to show him our new little trick?" I knew what he was referring to so I nodded and said "Sure, why not?" With that red and purple surrounded us respectively before we broke the auras and entered our new Sin Devil Triggers!

Rushing forward, the Cerberus attempted to hit us however we effectively dodged and began our all-out onslaught. We went in with attack after attack, the result of which ended up leaving the Cerberus collapsed on the ground.  We used this vulnerability to land several more easy hits.

The battle wasn't over though soon the fire around the beast died down and in its place was a purple electricity. The Cerberus yelled "Feel my THUNDER!" And instantly let out an electrical blast.

As we were both knocked back, our Sin Devil Triggers wore off. We looked at the creature's new state as Dante commented "You know what Y/N, I think with all that purple lightning, he's copying you." I nodded before saying "You know what, I think you're right. He's DEAD!"

I rushed forward without Devil Trigger or Sin Devil Trigger. The Cerberus attempted to fire a series of purple projectiles at me however I dodged and upon reaching the beast performed an upward slash that cut one of the faces deeply. It howled in pain and staggered back as I followed up with another barrage of violent slashes.

The beast attempted to strike back however I jumped backwards and fired several rounds from Cinder. Dante joined in and commented "This fight's a real shocker, you holding up there pup?" We both attacked the beast causing it to fall down again.

Of course the Cerberus wasn't done yet and instead shot out a large shockwave of cold, the entire room was frozen in ice, just like it was when we arrived. After that the Cerberus yelled "I will freeze you both down to your very souls!"

It started sending gusts of freezing air towards us however we still evaded that as well, dodging the attack before turning and rushing in for another tag-team onslaught. Before reaching him, we once again used our regular Devil Triggers to show off our new power and still we were too much for the Cerberus king.

It began attacking us with a mixture of fire, lightning and ice, me and Dante responded by dodging and attacking, both in our regular state and in Devil Trigger. The fight was pretty much won by now.

Suddenly Dante yelled "Y/N catch!" He threw something towards me and I was surprised to find it was Kalina Ann! Which much like the Devil Arms I'd had before like Ifrit, I had thought were lost following the first fight with Urizen.

I instantly aimed it at the creature's head and fired! The King Cerberus let out a roar which caused the rocket to fire right into its mouth and explode. The result of which caused the Cerberus to lurch back before finally, falling to the ground dead.

Its body began flaking away as me and Dante watched. Once it was gone, I noticed a small glowing orb floating where the demon's body had been. I looked at Dante to which he just gestured towards it. I approached the orb and reached out.

As soon as I touched it, the orb took shape in my hand and I was somewhat surprised to see it resembled nunchaku or nunchucks however it held a somewhat icy quality to it. I assumed it was some form of Devil Arm.

I started flailing them about while making noises to myself. Interestingly, the nunchaku then took the shape of a staff that emitted lightning and then fire. I kept sparring with my new weapon before slamming it into the ground.

The result caused a stream of fire to crack through the ground before the surface broke away, revealing another deep hole, at the bottom of it was a strange light. Dante approached behind me and rested a hand on my shoulder, saying "Good job Y/N. I think we're the first ones here."

I smiled as we both leapt into the pit, into the unknown. To say I was on edge was an understatement. I'd been mentally preparing myself for this for a while. But now that it was finally time, I wasn't sure. Either way-.

It was finally time to confront Urizen once and for all...
