Y/N POV

I continued to fall from the top of the Temen-Ni-Gru all the way back down to the surface, blood still spewing partially from the stab wound I got from Vergil. I flickered between unconsciousness and consciousness as I maintained my grip of Eclipse. 

To my surprise surge of purple electricity began forming around my body. I couldn't properly focus on it in my current state though. My grasp on Eclipse grew stronger. I felt a rush of energy flow through my body as I took a deep breath inwards.

Suddenly my eyes snapped open as the stab-wound disappeared. In a sudden re-emergence of energy, I flipped myself round and was now heading back to the surface, face-first, my arms firmly at my sides as I began building up speed.

I noticed a small build-up of Demons at the bottom all surrounding none other than that mysterious woman who had helped me before. I figured now would be the best chance for me to return the favour.

Now that I was fully awake, I held Eclipse close to me. In an instant, I felt that same purple electricity build up again. Suddenly I felt a rush of power flow through me, taking a look at my hand, I saw that it had turned demonic in nature. I muttered to myself.

"So, this is the power of a Demon's blood? It's intoxicating..."

Those were the only words I could think of to sum up this new power In this new state, I continued my descent downwards towards the band of demons. As soon as I reached them. I thrust outward with Eclipse in a stabbing motion.

The blade went directly through one of the demon's heads, killing it in an instant. I flipped over its body demonstrating speed that I had never thought possible. The mysterious woman just watched me with a look of shock, however my attention was elsewhere for the moment.

I dashed forward and cut through another Demon before spinning around and slashing another one at the waistline, causing its torso to fall off its legs. A third demon tired to jump me from behind however I thrust my sword backwards and stabbed it.

Suddenly we were ambushed by another type of demon, I assume this was the same class of demon as the other no-names that I had encountered up to this point. What made it funny was that these ones carried a gigantic explosive spherical object which served as an obvious weak point.

I didn't even bother attacking with Eclipse, instead I just pulled out Cinder and shot repeatedly at the giant orb. Sure enough, they eventually began to expand before exploding into pieces. This even set off a chain reaction and triggered the other demons carrying these explosives to meet the exact same fate.

With them dealt with it was just quick and simple matter to deal with and dispose of other lesser demons. I was finding it easy to cut them down until eventually, my newfound power wore off.

I will admit, I had completely forgot that the 'Devil Trigger' could only be sustained for short bursts, or at least that's what Vergil did. Either way, this left me in a brief state of fatigue and also wide open as a few more demons tried to jump me.

That's when a series of handgun shots went off, each one hit one of the demon and killed them instantly. I looked up to see the woman standing there, both handguns extended outward with smoke billowing from the ends.

I slowly stood up and approached her saying "Thank you. You saved me." To my surprise though, she suddenly aimed her handguns at me and yelled "STAY AWAY FROM ME DEMON SPAWN!" I looked at her slightly confused as she slowly staggered back, keeping her gun trained on me.

I tried to step closer however even more surprisingly, she shot at the ground near my feet. This was followed by her snapping "I said STAY BACK!" Without another word, she suddenly sprinted back into the tower and out of sight.

I was left standing there confused, today had all become too much for me to understand. Though I knew I would have to confront her nonetheless. Either way, I went back into the tower after her.

I didn't know who I'd encounter next. Vergil? Dante? The woman? But either way I didn't care anymore...

Mysterious Woman POV

I continued running deeper into the tower. I have no idea why I didn't shoot that 'Y/N' right then and there. I will admit when my 'father' told me that Y/N was actually a Demon's child, I didn't want to believe him. After all, he had been nothing by supportive and helpful even if he didn't tell me his name, I only found that out when my father told me.

But seeing him in that state, it didn't matter if he helped me. I couldn't stand the idea of a demon being that close to me. But why? Why was I feeling guilty? I would just have to bury those thoughts away. I had other things to worry about...
