Nobody really got to know where and when Jekyll Caldwell disappeared to that night. Neither did anyone know why the body of Demelza Harper was found in a pool of blood in the living room of Caldwell Manor when she was supposed to be in her father's farm tending the chickens.

Until her mother came about the girl's grave to have found a bouquet of whitish-orange lilies and a thin, red letter which had been folded in half next to her grave.

Some say that it was a secret lover from the neighbouring village who had sent the letter. Others dismissed it as the young factory worker who had tried to court her during her teenage years. The answer was never really clear in the end because no one really got to know who the secret lover was and how Demelza Harper died.

No one other than the man who was there at the manor himself.
