A karaoke night sounded like a great idea, and I wasn't self conscious of my voice anymore, not since he said it was beautiful...
As the sun set outside, FC began to play. He played the first song I ever heard him play. I don't know how to describe it, but it made me feel happy inside.
We did a few more songs, took a break to chat, and started up again.
"How about you try to sing this time?"

"Okay...." I replied, nervous but strangely confident.
He began to play, and I began to sing.
"Take my hand, I'll teach you to dance, spin you around, won't let you fall down.
Would you let me lead, you can step on my feet, give it a try, it'll be alright.

Then something happened that I never thought would happen. FC started singing, but the music was still playing, I guess he had it prerecorded on his phone.

"Suddenly.... I'm feeling brave....
Don't know what's got into me, why I feel this way....
Can we dance, real slow..

And then we danced.

And then it happened.
That magical moment that I'll never forget.
We stopped dancing and stared into each other's eyes.
He tilted up my head, I closed my eyes, and I fell from earth. A feeling that I never thought could come from one kiss.
I had kissed before, but I never felt fireworks like these.
It was amazing.
We separated and I looked up at him.
He smiled at me, a soft, gentle smile.
I could tell he really meant it.

"Can we.... Do that again?" I asked, blushing.

"Sure..." He grinned.

There we stood, illuminated by the moonlight. For a moment I forgot that was going to die soon.
All that mattered was this moment.
