The family (10/20)

"M-Master?!" Cregal was the first to talk. "We have to go after him!" He was crying, sensing what type of decision their master had has just done.

"No!" Eclipse stopped him. "You leave this place!" He let Blurk take unconscious Rhygenta. "Just leave! I'll try to help your master and my friend!" He ran after the Black Death.

[** Outside of the Colony **]

The homeland of Darklings looked like a big sharp mountain of reddish and orangish colors. From some holes was leaving warm steam. The perimeter was guarded by more bulkier Darklings and soldiers.

"What's that?" asked one seeing a red dot on the sky, but before anyone could ponder about it, it landed creating a shock wave. Everyone in the ten meters distance was thrown away and the rest was at least pushed back.

From the red light came out Lancelot with his fur bristled and shining eyes. He leaped at the closest Darkling, catching him by the neck and pushing him to the ground. "Where's Eclipse?!" he barked robbing him of an air.

"I... don't know!" he answered with a hoarse voice.

"Let me check!" Galahad quickly approached him, stopping his father from hurting him more. Darkling was surprised when his mind was opened. "He is telling the truth. He hasn't even seen him!" Lancelot let him go.

"Incoming!" warmed them Aalis as a soldier went after them. Lancelot leaped back, while psychic picked Darkling taking him to safety. The ground at that spot was crashed. The Darkling would be in a lot of pain without his help.

"Don't they care about them?" asked Aalis as she saw one Darkling was stepped on.

"What are those?! Answer me!" ordered Lancelot to the captured Darkling.

"Those are just mindless soldiers! They don't feel pain neither fear."

"So nothing more than living things, huh?" With this Lancelot had no problem in cutting them into pieces. At one moment soldiers jerked with their bodies, like they were unable to move, making their destruction much easier.

"Alright, let's go inside!"

They rushed there. Aalis was having a really bad feeling. She didn't say it, but for at least one hour she hardly sensed her blood father.

The Darklings outside were helping the hurt ones, unable to understand if this is an invasion when they were contacted by Black Death, who was their master: "Darklings, listen to me! Leave this place immediately! Kill soldiers if they approach you! But you have to get away from this place! This is my last order to you!"

The connection was cut before anyone could ask anything. They knew only one thing – something serious is happening inside. The unharmed watchers ran back to provide backup to less strong siblings.

Meanwhile, in the core, Black Doom was furious. "Black Death! What's the meaning of this?!" Once he gave the soldiers order to kill the four Darklings it was rewritten by Black Death. Not to mention some intruders appeared outside and the order to kill them was as well overwritten by him.

He tried to contact him, but he was getting no response. "Is this your betrayal?!" he roared and his body was engulfed by a red aura. "So be it! I shall erase you and all the work you have ever done!" His third eye shone.

[** Lancelot's position **]

"What's this?!" he stopped as the soldiers in front of him suddenly collapsed on the ground.

"Are they dead?" Galahad quickly checked their pulse and listened to their hearts. "Yeah, they are dead!"

"But why?"

"The reason can't be good," Lancelot answered Aalis's question. "Which way you feel Mephiles?"

She tried to concentrate. "I think it's that way, but it's getting weaker!"

"Then we must hurry! Galahad, go to Aalis! We will cover more grounds if we split up!" He rushed forward without waiting for their answer.

"Let's go!" They ran in the Mephiles' direction.

[** Eclipse's location **]

Since the fall of the soldiers, he had a bad feeling. 'I have to find Black Death and Mephiles and fast!' Suddenly in front of him from the thin air appeared a big figure. Eclipse had no time to stop so he slid between its legs.

"Whoa!" He stood up, preparing to fight. The figure was at least two heads taller than an ordinary soldier. Its lower half of limbs had vivid red pigmentation and on its back were massive spikes and on its head were three horns. Around its chest and shoulders, he had an armor-like yellow structure. Other than that, it had the same small head like ordinary Black Arms.

The new warrior slowly turned invisible. Eclipse gulped, looking around until it reappeared behind him once more. At the last moment, he avoided its long thunder-like purple sword.

"This is gonna be tough," he growled going on all four, seeing how his opponents turned invisible. He jumped, but he only went thru its body.
