"everyone, this is Shiratama. I expect you all to behave in front of her, understand?" Finished Carmen as Ume smiled, fingering her ring that she wore on a chain, hidden by the snowy white catsuit adorned with opals and moonstones. Her same color heel boots with red laces hid her feet along with matching fingerless gloves as her silvery-white hair was tied into a ponytail with golden hairpins that both supported and decorated it. She also wore traditional japanese eyeshadow that was pink and red lipstick. In her ears were the same earrings that Carmen gave her (chapter 1.). Ume stepped down from the stage and went into her room to await her first mission.

A few minutes later, she heard her bracelet beeping and pressed the single red jewel, allowing the hologram of Carmen's face to appear in front of her. "Shiratama, your first mission is to go to the Louvre Museum in Paris and steal the 'Regent' diamond." A picture of the diamond was shone. It was cut into a cushion shape and was white with pale blue. It looked quite beautiful. "Ok, Carmen-chan! See you after the heist." She said, leaving her room and outside. She used her new rocket boots and flew over the city of love, her eyes softening at the sights before landing at the museum.

'so far so good.' she thought as she grappled herself to the rooftop and used the side of the building to climb up. Once she reached the rooftop, she smirked. Using her glass cutter, she cut out a perfect circle large enough for her body to get in. First, she had to get rid of the guards. She rummaged through her arsenal and pulled out a smoke bomb, pulling the pin and dropped it to the ground. Ume counted down the seconds until she heard a loud boom. She jumped down from the rooftop and ran away from the guards. She then walked slowly away from the scene, going to the jewel exhibit.

Ume then heard someone's footsteps and used a nearby exhibit case to hide on top of. Once she was sure they were gone, she jumped down and went into the jewel exhibit. There, she saw the regent diamond. "Hello, gorgeous." She said, using one of her hairpins to pick the lock and opened the case's door. She grabbed the diamond and placed her calling card in it's place: a white heart-shaped topaz. She pocketed the diamond in the red velvet bag she used to keep the stone in pristine condition and attempted to leave when she was stopped, seeing Shadow. "Your not Carmen! Who are you?" He asked as she laughed. "Take a guess, Agent."

He seemed to be confused before his eyes widened in shock and disbelief. "Ume!? Your... Working for Carmen? Why?" Ume frowned before turning to Jules. "I'm disappointed, Julia-chan! You haven't told him?"

"Told me what?"

"Ume and Carmen are in love and are together, Hawkins."

"What!?" Jules looked at Ume up and down. "I see your working with Carmen, love the catsuit!" She said as Ume smiled. "Thank you. I'm quite proud of the gems on it." She said before jumping out of the window, leaving a shocked Shadow and an impressed Jules. "I guess love makes us do things.. hm, I should ask Tamayo to be my pearl someday." She mumbled. Ume flew back to VILE and landed into the garden. She walked through the halls until she reached Carmen's office. "Hi, Carmen! I'm back and look what I got~" she said, taking out the pouch and getting the diamond out.

She placed the diamond into her girlfriend's hand as she inspected it. "Not bad, Shiratama~ this is most impressive. You may go." She said, feeling Ume's lips on her cheek as the door closed. Carmen looked up at the security screen and blushed, seeing her jewel in action when she stole the diamond and completed her mission rather quickly. She wondered where to hide it for the agents to find it until she smirked. She handed the diamond to one of her vile agents to hide. "Hide this in Athens anywhere you like, but make it difficult for ACME to find." She told him as he nodded and left.

Carmen then left her office and went to Ume's door, knocking on her door. After she was given the ok, she went in but didn't see her flower. She noticed her catsuit in the wastebasket and looked up, seeing Ume in one of her favorite kimonos. The kimono seemed to be made out of the finest silk and was colored a soothing lavender colored and a lime green obi trailed behind her. Carmen knew of the kimono because she was the one who gave her the outfit, as it reminded her of Ume so much. Her hair was down as the hairpins were removed and in her hair was one hairpin she loved.

It was made out of ivory with small red plum blossoms and a single tassel with a carnelian, her favorite semi-precious stone due to it reminding her of the thief who had stolen her heart. Her face was also free of the makeup she had been wearing. Ume straightened out one of the long sleeves of her kimono and turned to look at Carmen with her piercing gaze, the lighting making her look like a goddess straight out of legend. The lamp beside her made the silver thread in the kimono glitter and sparkle in the soft light. The silvery-white locks flowed over her left globe like mercury. She walked over to her thief and cupped her face under her sleeves. "Ume... I missed you." She said, snuggling into the plum blossom's chest, hearing her heartbeat.

"I missed you too, Carmen.. I knew I had to be by your side when I went on the mission you assigned me and when I finished it, I had to be with you. The only one I will ever love, my thief." Ume then felt Carmen wrapping her arms around the woman's waist. "Until death do us part, plum blossom." They felt content in each other's arms as Ume mumbled soft yet sweet words. Carmen needed to ask Ume to be hers forever, just not yet.. maybe when they complete the heists which involved letting Ume see the world and every place she ever wanted to see. She had told her henchmen and ACME prior to letting her heart's desire come in place of her brain.

Letting Ume steal the things that she apparently needed gave her plenty of time to choose a design for the engagement ring, the stone, and the color of the band. Carmen needed to make sure it fitted with hers and Ume's theme and had to pick the place of asking Ume to marry her. Her plum blossom deserved the best after all. The woman was to precious to her to get hurt. Since that night those two reunited, she made a promise and she would keep it until their deaths.

She would never let Ume get hurt, ever and she would fight anyone who dared to lay a finger on her.
