Ume was walking in the halls with an book until she stopped hearing Carmen's voice. She turned her head and realized she was near the conference room. She slid her ID card on the slot and went in, hearing the door automatically close behind her. "There she is. That's the woman who I wanted you to meet." Said Carmen as she noticed Ume. She walked over to where Carmen was sitting and placed herself in her lap, moving a lock of her moonlight blonde hair that fell out of her bun, allowing the agents and leader of VILE to look at her sparkling blue eyes that reminded Carmen of sapphires and lapis lazuli. "I can definitely see why boss likes you so much, miss. Your very beautiful up close. If you ever need someone to protect you while boss isn't here, just tell me." Said one of her agents as he cracked his knuckles.

Ume frowned. "I'll think about it." She said. She then turned to Carmen. "Did those two ACME agents find the jade figurine?" She asked as she shook her head. "Not yet, my beautiful jewel. But, I did leave clues for them in Paris, Italy, Argentina, and Japan." Replied the VILE leader as Ume hid her face in her neck. Carmen placed her fingers in her hair and took out her bun comb, allowing the moonlight blonde locks to flow down her neck and onto her red dress that was adorned with blood red rubies, dark red garnets, and carnelians all shaped like roses. Her small yet adorable feet were hidden with black kitten heels as a white gold necklace with a single red lily charm was around her throat. The ring Carmen gave her that night in China was still on her finger. "I'm surprised it's taking them so long to find the heart shaped figurine.." Ume mumbled as she twirled the ring around her finger.

"Boss! Those ACME agents are in Japan, I repeat, they are in Japan!" Said an undercover VILE agent on the screen that turned on. "I see, anything else?" Asked Carmen as Ume looked up, her soft almond shaped eyes shining with innocence. "They also cracked the safe you left in Japan and they are currently in Argentina." He added as Ume's eyes sparkled. "Hm, hand them this clue that my plum blossom created." Ume passed a piece of paper with a clue written in her traditional japanese characters to a small slot. After the screen clicked off, Carmen decided to tell them.

"As some of you were aware, Ume was an old crush I had before I became a thief. What happened when I went to see her at her job which is a flower shop since she stopped dancing was there were a few.. sexual deviants that wanted to take advantage of her when she went to get me a bouquet of flowers to act as a clue. That night, she was placing money into the register for tomorrow when she heard a loud crash. When she checked it out, she was nearly kidnapped by one of her crazy former fans. I couldn't just stand there and let him take her away.. so I broke in through the window and ran towards them. She accidentally inhaled the chloroform that was on the cloth on her lips. When he started dragging her away, something inside of me snapped. I would've killed him if I wasn't so worried about Ume. So, I left him for the police and brought her to VILE for treatment. After I noticed that she woke up, I wanted to be alone with her to tell her how I felt. When I asked you all to leave, I confessed to Ume. That makes Ume the second queen of VILE. If I see a single scratch on her, you will be dealt with by me personally. Do I make myself clear?"

"Yes, ma'am!" Said all the agents of VILE as they saw her scary look. "Carmen-chan, stop scaring your poor henchmen." They heard Ume say as she kissed her cheek. "Ok, plum blossom!" The agents added something to their list of fears that day. Luckily, Ume acted as an anchor for the super thief and kept her calm. Carmen played with her earrings and kissed her head, making Ume melt into her touches. As the meeting went on, Ume was becoming protected by the VILE henchmen and her girlfriend. She didn't mind, though as she thought the gesture was sweet. In the minds of the henchmen, she was a fragile flower that could wilt with a single touch, a beautiful jewel that was to be protected. After the meeting ended, Ume left the room first with two male VILE agents at her side. She went to a small garden and under a Yamazakura cherry blossom tree. The two agents remained at her side.

She looked down at the koi pond and smiled. The fish were so beautiful and charming in their own way. She gave the koi fish food as they swam around in the pond. The petals fell on her face and landed on the hem of her dress. The rare tree reminded Ume of her hometown in Kyoto, Japan. It was peaceful outside as she gingerly picked up a pink cherry blossom petal. The agents's breaths hitched, seeing how.. delicate she looked. It made them want to protect her and keep the plum blossom of VILE safe from the world that would snuff and dim her bright light. After all, they made a promise to Carmen that they were going to protect their second queen and they were going to keep that promise. She giggled as she blew the petal out of her hand and it landed on a nearby rock. In VILE's eyes, Ume was a fragile yet beautiful flower that was rare and an angel that fell out of heaven to walk across the earth.

She stood up, brushing the petals off her dress. The agents walked her back to VILE as her sweet nature showed when they were walking. She looked like an angel wearing red as the ruby and garnet crystals shown under the soft lights like red spots on the walls, Her kitten heels clicking against the smooth marble tiles. She was too sweet for this world. As soon as she got into her and Carmen's shared bedroom, she thanked the two agents and went inside. She sighed softly and leaned into the wall behind her. The slowly remaining sunlight washed over her body in a gorgeous display of reds, yellows, oranges and small tints of pink. It was.. serene to say the least. She opened her eyes as she decided to get ready for bed and wait for Carmen to come back.

Later that night, Ume was writing a poem about waterfalls and finding love as it was one of her secret hobbies that she had. She heard a knock and stopped mid-write. "Enter!" She called out. The sound of the door opening couldn't be heard. She placed her pen down and walked out from behind the screen, her deep purple Yukata with a pine green obi trailing behind her. Her hair was pinned up into a bun with a single floral hairpin. "Hello?" She called out. A pair of arms wrapped around her waist, causing the plum blossom to gasp. "Carmen Sandiego, don't ever scare me like that again!" She said, a cute pout accentuating her pretty face. She looked so beautiful even in the moonlight from the window. The lamp she had on so she could write left little to the imagination. "Sorry about that, Plum blossom. But, Jules and Hawkins tried to catch me again today in Argentina."

"If your going to run away from those two, please don't give me a fright like that anymore.."

"Ok, plum blossom." Ume went back behind the screen and turned off the lamp, heading out the same way. The two women went to bed as Ume took out her hairpin, allowing her long blonde locks to flow, making them look like they were rays of moonlight. She looked beautiful even when she was asleep. Carmen decided to protect her plum blossom even if it meant she died in the process.
