It was 11:01 pm at night, a petite yet very beautiful woman sat down on her desk chair. Her long silver hair was reaching down her back as some strands covered both of her olive colored globes which were hidden by the dark blue kimono with silver prints of plum blossoms as her lapis blue eyes, framed with long lashes drifted towards a small golden frame. Lifting a small hand, she picked up the frame, looking at the photo that rested inside. The photo was of her and former A.C.M.E detective, Carmen Sandiego during one of her investigations in Japan.

She smiled faintly, remembering how she met the detective.

(Flashback!)
Ume was tying her orange and yellow obi to her red kimono with soft pink blossoms along with a orange obijime cord. After she smoothed out any wrinkles in the delicate long silk sleeves, she applied a light layer of red eyeshadow, mixing it with a little bit of pink along with bright red lipstick. Picking up a fox hairpin, she quickly and carefully placed it in her hair which was in a traditional geisha hairstyle. She smiled at the result and picked up a traditional fan with a small white tassel.

Walking towards her sister, Tamayo who had lily petal white skin, pretty dark purple eyes fading into a lavender color, dark brown hair tied into a small low bun with a floral hairpin, and she wore a dark purple kimono with purple wavy tree lines, red flowers, a cream colored obi, pink eyeshadow in the shape of a diamond along with red lipstick too. "Ready, Tamayo?" Asked Ume as her older sister softly smiled. "Of course, baby sis." Replied Tamayo as a tiny giggle escaped her. Then the curtains rolled backwards to reveal the sisters as Ume started to sing.

Ume: "Sakura, Sakura blanketing the countryside, As far as you can see, is it a mist, or clouds? Fragrant in the morning sun. Sakura, sakura flowers in full bloom~."

The two women started to dance when Ume started singing. Her voice sounded soft as she felt someone staring at her. She moved her head, covering half of her face with her open fan which was white with gray plum blossoms. She looked over, seeing a woman with long auburn hair, dark eyes, dark skin as she wore what seemed to be a suit along with red lipstick. Not one step of their dance was out of place while Tamayo took over to sing.

Tamayo: "Sakura, sakura across the spring sky, as far as you can see. Is it a mist, or clouds? Fragrant in the air."

Ume and Tamayo: "come now, come let's look, at last~"

The two finished off their dance and covered their faces. Tamayo left the stage first then Ume. Ume then bumped into the same woman that had been staring at her while she was dancing. "Oh! Hello, ms.." the woman in front of her smiled. "Sandiego. Carmen Sandiego." Said Carmen as she gently held Ume's hand and kissed the top of it. Ume blushed and placed her other hand on top of her chest, turning her head away. "Did you enjoy our show?" She asked, her pretty lapis blue eyes meeting Carmen's dark brown ones.

"Very much. I must say, I haven't seen such a beautiful lady like yourself. Tell me,what is your name?" Ume blushed even more. "It's Ume. Ume Sakura Fuji." She said, her eyes looking away. "Beautiful name for a beautiful woman." The two walked away, as Ume smiled once she and her sister were in the car. "I think I just fell in love." She said to herself.

A tear started to flow down her cheek, landing on the glass where Carmen's face was. 'Dang it.. what.. happened Carmen? You told me you wanted to make the world a better place.. yet you went around and did this!' She thought. Her guilt at not stopping Carmen was eating away at her brain. Gingerly moving her hand to remove the tears, she placed the frame down and went to her vanity, picking up a comb which was a birthday gift from Tamayo, she started to comb out her hair.

Once it looked neat, she placed the comb down and went to her bed which consisted of cherrywood with carvings, a snowy white mattress, blood red covers with matching pillows, a silver drape surrounding the bed, and a small nightstand that was also red which rested on the left side of the bed. She curled up in the bed and closed her eyes.

Carmen was outside the woman's window, looking up at the saddened look she gave. When Jules and that Hawkins boy saw her in the museum after she stole that Marco Polo book, Jules told her that Ume had been blaming herself for what happened and being quiet. Carmen KNEW she had to make it up to Ume and decided to start by giving her small presents. Once she heard the girl crawling into her bed, it was safe. Using a tree, she climbed it and jumped onto the balcony. 'Ok, so far so good.' She thought, quietly opening the door and closing it behind her.

Creeping across the room, she reached the nightstand and pulled out a red box along with a small note. Opening the box slightly, she smiled when she saw that the earrings remained intact.

She had stolen them from an lost city in India and instantly thought of Ume and her reaction to them. Closing the box, she placed them on the bedside table along with the note, leaving the same way she came in. Carmen heard from one of her agents that Ume gave up on her dancing and decided to work in a flower shop which was growing popular via Ume's rare flower- like beauty. That angered her since people always used Ume and Tamayo's beauty to get what they wanted from what she overheard. Well, that would soon end once she finally told her Plum blossom how she felt.
