*reversing to Mr. Agrestes' POV*

Gabriel watched as Gorilla tried to open the door, then squinted in thought as he heard Adrien shout.

A warm sensation registered below his throat. He instinctively reached up to touch the hidden miraculous.

"It's Adrien.", Nooroo whispered from beneath his masters' white blazer.

  "I know."

But instead of transforming, Gabriel irritably plucked the glowing brooch off and shoved it in his pocket. There was no way that he was going to use his son like that.

Gorilla looked down at his boss, questionably, as to what he should do next.

Gabriel shook his head and flickered his hand dismissively to the giant man.

Hurrying to his office, he picked up the phone. He was on a time limit after all.

Two rings later, he heard, "Gabriel! I was just about to call you!"

"Audrey.", he greeted. "Happy Thanksgiving. Would you and your family like to come over for Thanksgiving? My apology for asking so late. I've had a busy schedule."

"Hmph. Yes, you are late. In fact, you're too late. We have plans already. But never mind about THAT! I am VERY upset, Gabriel! Your son promised to be with Clara- uh- Chloe- on her float today. Then he up and disappeared! This is unacceptable! UTTERLY unacceptable! He had better not skip out on his promise to partake of our Thanksgiving meal!'
'By the way, Gabriel, your invited to join us."

Mr. Agreste blinked. "He promised these things?"

"Yes he did! My daughter is VERY upset! Her entire theme has been RUINED by the lack of his presence!"

There was a pause as Gabriel considered this. Then he said, "I apologise on his behalf. He made a promise he couldn't keep. But I'll make sure Adrien apologises PERSONALLY for his immature behavior. And we shall both join your family tonight. Thank you for the invitation, Audrey."

*The Dupain-Cheng Bakery*

Shortly after Chloes' float had passed by, large balloons of all the heroes were coming into view.

Marinette glanced at Alya and Nino. Their faces had lit up at the sight of the Rena Rouge and Carapace balloons. They were both grinning like giddy little children on Christmas morning.

Wanting to catch a secret picture of them, Marinette reached for her back pocket. Not feeling her cell phone, she frantically patted her other pockets and searched the sidewalk beneath her.

"My cell phone!", she exclaimed in dismay.

"Maybe you left it in your room?", Juleka suggested.

"RIGHT! Right! I'll be right back!"

In her room, she scanned her desk, then ran up to her bed. She yanked back the covers and tossed her pillows out of the way.

"Where is it, Tikki?? WHERE IS IT??"

  "Calm down, Marinette. It's-"

"But I gotta find it!! This Renapace moment is so cute!! I gotta get a picture!! I-"

"MARINETTE!", Tikki interrupted. "I'm trying to tell you! You left it on the balcony!"

She gasped. "That's right! Thank you- thank you, Tikki!"

She hopped up through the trapdoor and scooped her phone up from the chair.

"Phew.", she breathed while holding the object to her chest.

Off in the distance, she saw Chats' dark figure rushing across the buildings.

"Oh noooo!", she groaned in dismay. "An akuma attack? Now?? Can't Hawkmoth take a break and enjoy the holidays like everyone else??"

But she didn't ponder long on the matter. With her teeth clinched in determination, she declared, "Okay, let's get this over with! Tikki, spots on!"
