Addie-Hidden Lightning In Sight

I sighed. Spina De Rosula headquarters. Our safe spot. Deep down inside I knew that no matter where we went we would never be safe, but Spina De Rosula was about as close as safe gets for us.

My name is Addie. I am currently working for Spina de Rosula and I am a good friend of the captain, Navia.

"I think we're safe for now, I think we should stay here until- "

Navia was cut off by the sound of a door opening and footsteps coming toward us.

"I know you're there, little ones heehee."

That voice. Sounds so familiar but I can't put my finger on who it is. I decide to take a risk and peek out from where me and Navia are hiding. Then it hits me. Electro vision, Catalyst weapon, pink hair, the familiar little one's line.

It was none other than Yae Miko. Navia tries to peek out but I immediately pull her down.

"It's Yae Miko." I whisper. Navia nods and we both keep in our hiding spot.

"It's no use hiding, I know you're there, and I know where you are, why don't you come out and face me unless you guys are cowards."

I ball my hand into a fist. We aren't cowards, we're just smart not to be lured into some kind of trap.

We hear Yae Miko's footsteps coming closer to us, and the closer they come, the more scared we get. Just when I think that our lives are over, I hear the sounds of a battle going on. I see hydro, dendro, and electro fighting against each other. Hydro??? Dendro??? I don't know a single person with Hydro and Dendro that like each other. Or maybe my brain is just wacked right now.

Finally, I hear somebody fall to the floor, and I finally peek out without thinking about being seen. I see Alhaitham, his sword bloodied from where he stabbed Yae Miko.

Next to him is a friend of mine, Maya. Again, without thinking, I pull out my catalyst. They may have saved our lives, but I'm not taking any chances. Alhaitham is about to make a run for it when Maya stops him.

"She's gonna kill us if we don't leave now." Alhaitham said.

"Just one more thing." Maya replies.

Then she gives an evil smile at me. Oh no. I know exactly what's coming next.

"How's life?" Maya asks, still keeping that evil smile.

While Alhaitham and Navia are looking plain confused, I flash the evil smile back. I know exactly what to say, as always.

"Other than the fact that we are in the hunger games, killing people, and the fact that there is a bloody Yae Miko on the ground, it's chi- "

"ADDIE!!" Maya teasingly yells at me. "YOUR LIFE IS NOT ALWAYS CHILL!!!"

Alhaitham and Navia glance at each other and burst out laughing. Me and Addie soon join in with them.

"Well it is the hunger games, a brutal game, if one of us is gonna die, then I might as well do it one last time" Maya said after a moment.

"Yeah, I will always miss how's life." I replied.

It turns into awkward silence. Me, Navia, Alhaitham, and Maya are just standing there, wondering what to do next.

"Well then." Maya says after a while. "I guess this is where we go our separate ways."

"Yeah I guess so." I say. I'm depressed that the hunger games even existed. If it didn't that would mean more peaceful days with Navia and more how's life jokes with Maya.

"Good luck in the hunger games to all of you." Alhaitham says.

"Good luck to you as well." Navia replies.

"Good luck to all." Me and Maya say at the same time.

Then Alhaitham and Maya left us. I hope they will be safe until the end. I hope I'll get to see them again. But it's just a dream, and dreams don't always come true.
