The next few weeks were a lot better. I became more open and social to other people, making everyone think my voice was getting better, and I became happier. I laughed more, smiled more, and was just happier in general.
Today was the first day of Spring Break, so we had the whole week off. I was currently sitting my room, reading a book. I was so close to being done, but I was so rudely interrupted, because the whole host club burst into my room. I glanced up, but tried to ignore them and continue reading. Tried. I groaned, slamming the book shut and laying it in my lap.
"What?" I asked.
"We wanted to hang out!" Tamaki saided, raising his hands in the air.
"And I wanted to read, what's your point," I asked, opening my book back up and continued from were I left off. Out of the corner of my eyes, I saw Tamaki sulking the the corner of the room, growing mushrooms. "Tamaki, stop growing mushrooms in my room," I scolded. He stopped, but continued sulking. The rest of the hosts stood by the door, the twins snickering behind then. "Hikaru. Kaoru. Come here please," I said in a sickly sweet voice with an innocent smile. The twins stopped snickering, gulped, and made their way towards me, standing next to the bed.
"Yes?" They said oh so innocently. I tilted my head slightly to the right.
"Could you please tell me why the host are interrupting my reading and resting time?" I asked in a kid voice, faking a pout. They gulped, looking away. But I already got them.
"We a-asked them to c-come so we could a-annoy you," Kaoru stated. My pout grew more.
"Why?" I asked in the kiddish voice.
"W-well. We were bored," Hikaru said. I smirked.
"Then go annoy someone else. I'm trying to read," I said, going back to my regular voice. The gulped and dashed out of the room, standing behind Mori.
"Scary," They whispered. Kyoya sighed.
"We wanted to know if you wanted to come to the amusement park with us," Kyoya said flatly. I smiled.
"Well why didn't you say that in the first place? Of course!" I said, setting my book down beside me and grabbing my shoes. Tamaki got up and stood in front of me.
"Wonderful! I get to have both daughters coming with me!" He yelled. I rolled my eyes, but smiled. I saw Kaoru smile and Hikaru nudge him with his elbow, but I ignored it. To be honest, it was kind of cute. Yes, over the past few weeks, I realized, with the help of Haruhi, that I have a crush on Kaoru. I'm not one to admit my feelings, and I will always deny it until I know he feels the same, but it's the truth.
We all got into the limo that was waiting for us. Tamaki sat next to the window, Haruhi next to him, then Honey, then Mori. Across Tamaki, was Kyoya, the Hikaru, then Kaoru, then me. We talked about what we were going to do at the amusement park when we got there, and decide to split up into groups. The groups were Tamaki and Haruhi, Honey and Mori, Kaoru and Kyoya, and Hikaru and I. Once we arrived, we bought our tickets and split into our groups and went our separate ways.
"So where to first?" I asked.
"Um. How about the roller coaster?" Hikaru suggested, point to a massive roller coaster a few yards away. I nodded.
"Sure,"
"Hey, Sabrina?" Hikaru asked. I 'hm'ed in response. "Do you like Kaoru?" He asked bluntly. I blushed beet red, but didn't respond. "Thought so," he said.
"Hey! I didn't even say anything!" I defended.
"You blushed, which tells me yes," he smirked. I louted, but didn't object. We walked in silence and got our place in line. The line was kind of long, so we had to wait a while.
"Fine. I do," I say, avoiding eye contact, not liking the silence that had settled. Hikaru chuckled.
"I knew it," he said.
"How?"
"You're always so comfortable around him. More than any of us. It was kind of obvious, although Tamaki and Kaoru and oblivious," Hikaru said.
"Oh. It's that obvious?" I asked. He nodded. I stare in front of us and finally we get on the ride.
The ride was fun. There several times were we went upside down, and I wasn't a fan of that, but it was fun all the same. We spent the rest of the day, riding rides, talking, laughing, and eating. Finally, we met up with everyone else and decide to ride the ferris wheel (sp?). We waited in line, telling each other what rides we rode, when finally we got to get on, ironically, it was two people per carrage. Tamaki and Haruhi went together, obviously. Honey and Mori went together, Hikaru and Kyoya went together, and Kaoru and I were left to be each other's partner. We got in, Kaoru being the gentleman and letting me get on first, and moved up so the people behind us can get on. As the carrage stopped, it swung slightly, back and forth. My heart beat picked up and I gripped the bar holding us in tighter. Kaoru chuckled.
"You can ride roller coasters, but your scared of ferris wheels?" He asked, joking but still considerate. I nodded.
"Yeah. I guess I'm scared of falling 'cause I'm more aware of it, versus a roller coaster, where it's fast, so you don't exactly worry about it," I said. Kaoru nodded and set his hands on mine. I relaxed my grip and he took them away gently from the bar. I wanted to shoot my hands back out and grip the bar again, but I didn't. Kaoru kept my hands encased in his, not letting me grip the bar again. He scooted closer, rocking the carrage, making me whimper in fear. He laused, our thighs touching, then let go of one hand, wrapping his arm around me. I know it's more of a comforting gesture, but it didn't calm my heart. I leaned closer to him, seeking comfort and warmth. He pulled me closer, rocking the carrage again, causing me to bury my head into his chest. He sighed, carefully pulling me closer. I heard a wolf whistle and glanced up, seeing Hikaru looking behind him, towards us, smirking. Kyoya glanced back, smirked, then turned back around. The rest of the hosts, who were above us, turned around. Honey cheered, saying that we were cute, Haruhi smiled at me, Mori gave a faint smile, and Tamaki turn red in the face, but somehow kept quiet, turning back around.
I buried my head again, feeling the carrage lurch forward slightly. We stayed in that position for the whole ride until we got to the bottom. Once out, I took a deep, shaky breath, and looked at the ride. Dang. I had no idea it was that high. Haruhi walked up beside me and set a hand on my shoulder.
"I saw that you were scared. Are you ok?" She asked. I nodded, smiling at her.
"Yeah. I would be frozen stiff if it weren't for Kaoru," I said. She smiled and nodded, then smirked.
"You two were kind of close, weren't you," She pointed out. I felt heat rise up the back of my neck and reach my ears and cheeks.
"S-so?" I asked. She shook her head.
"I had Hikaru take a picture before making the wolf whistle and send it to me," She said slyly.
"Meanie. Never knew you could be devious. You've been hanging around the twins way too much. They corrupted you," I said, making my way to the others so we can head home for the night.
