66 ~ June
"Thank you so much!" I exclaim as Brett pulls his small company car to a stop outside the college library. He'd insisted on giving me a ride after we spent the whole day together yesterday, despite my insistence that I could walk.
"That's okay." He grins before glancing passed me, towards the beaming girl on the sidewalk, "Is that Elena?"
"I told her I'd meet her here. She's been messaging me all morning." I explain, smirking, "Bye!" I exclaim, turning to grab hold of the door and get out.
"Wait!" He orders, reaching out and grabbing hold of my waist, "Not so fast." He pulls me back around to face him and plants a firm kiss on my lips. Automatically leaning into him I reach up and place my hand on his stubble, grinning into the kiss as he deepens it. Reluctantly I eventually pull back, letting go of him, his signature smirk back on his face.
"Okay." I breathe out, ready to turn back towards Elena.
"What are you doing tonight?" He asks.
"Elena wants to watch American Pie!"
"Lots of popcorn I'd imagine?" He teases and I roll my eyes.
"Absolutely!"
"I'm glad I don't need to use an apple pie anymore." He smirks.
"Brett!" I squeal.
"How about tomorrow? What are you doing then?"
"Nothing."
"I'll pick you up at ten." He grins.
"Sounds like a date!" I agree, shooting him one last smile before opening the door and getting out of his car. Elena's smile widens, the amusement clear in her expression as I roll my eyes and begin to walk over towards her, my pink hoodie and jeans already making me sweat in the Californian Summer heat. Why did I even think it was a good idea to leave these two items at Brett's back in April? Better than my strappy black Gala dress I suppose...
"So?" Elena squeals as I get close, "Clearly it went well!" She scoffs, linking arms with me as we turn towards the library. "I know I always joke about not seeing you until the morning but here we are, an extra day later!" She laughs, handing me the bag that she's brought from our room.
"I just decided to stay there one more night." I attempt to play it off, throwing my bag over my shoulder.
"I see." She smirks, "Did you go to college yesterday?" She accuses.
"No." I admit.
"No?" She exclaims as we walk into the silent library. I instantly look down at the floor, attempting to hide from the other students. "S! How Brett Winters has corrupted you!" She laughs and I shoot her a death stare. She's right.
"Shut up!"
"I think it's cute." She giggles.
"I hope none of my lecturers noticed I was gone." I mutter.
"Savannah!" A voice calls out and we look up to see Polly waving at us from a study table. "Where were ya yesterday?" She exclaims as we approach.
"Great. Polly noticed?" I mutter under my breath, "I've got no chance."
"She was busy with her boyfriend!" Elena smirks.
"He's not my boyfriend!" I retort and Polly raises an eyebrow.
"Take a seat gals." Polly gestures to the empty seats around her table. "I have some interrogating ta do." She sits forward, smiling up at me. Elena grins, sitting down next to her as I groan before giving in, slouching down onto the seat across from them.
Let the grilling begin.
*~*~*
Standing outside my dorm room the next day, summer dress on, converse on my feet I impatiently wait for my date to turn up, preferably on time.
Elena had insisted that we carefully choose the outfit that I am wearing, taking two hours to decide with Polly that a summer dress was definitely the right choice. I'd insisted on keeping my comfy shoes and managed to convince them that because I didn't know where we were going, and Brett has a history of taking me to woodlands and waterfalls, that flats really were the best choice. Thank God.
I glance down at my phone to see that I am still a minute early, having been desperate to get away from Elena's constant excitement. There's absolutely no chance that I'm here early because I'm excited to go on this date. I just wanted to get away from Elena.
Suddenly a sleek black sports car enters my vision and my mouth drops open at the familiar vehicle sliding down the road towards me. How does he still have it?
Pulling to a stop beside me I shake my head in disbelief before grabbing hold of the door handle and yanking it open to see his grinning face.
"Where are we going?" I ask instantly before sliding down onto the leather seats. I'm immediately thrown back to when I worked at Aphrodite's Palace and he took me to work that first time, but somehow, today, that thought doesn't give me dread, in fact I feel good. If he didn't drive me to work that day, would we be sat here right now? Probably not.
"You'll see." He grins before accelerating away. I grip onto the side of the seats instantly, having forgotten how fast he drives. I notice him immediately ease of the gas, slowing slightly.
"I can't believe you still have this car." I exclaim, running my hands along the door and he shrugs.
"It's seen better days."
"I love it." I grin and he smiles.
"It's a good thing I kept it then isn't it?"
"Where are you taking me?" I ask once more, my curious mind desperate to know.
"Trust me." He replies and I nod, sitting back as I smile. I do. I trust him.
He makes a right hand turn towards the outskirts of town and I raise an eyebrow at him, Sensible Savannah's curious mind taking over. We sit in a comfortable silence as I turn the radio on, and I laugh at his facial expression when Taylor Swift starts playing, remembering his dislike for her. I quietly start singing along, and don't miss his amused face as he pulls onto the freeway.
"Don't laugh at me!" I exclaim and he grins.
"Keep singing." He dares and I roll my eyes, turning back to look out the window.
"No." I retort, crossing my arms across my chest as he laughs, stepping on the gas. Watching him drive gives me butterflies, not the nervous kind, but the ones of excitement and anticipation. Somehow, despite all the mistakes, him and I are together right now. And it's perfect.
Fifteen minutes later he pulls off the freeway, pulling down a smaller lane and driving us through a rich looking suburb. I watch as the tall houses pass by and suddenly we are out of the tiny village and heading up a hill. He turns right at the last minute and my mouth drops open, turning to face him with wide eyes.
"An ice cream factory?" I exclaim and he grins.
"They have an all you can eat ice cream buffet." He explains, pulling into their parking lot. "You can make as many strange combinations as you'd like." He grins, turning the car off.
Ladies and Gentleman, I think I have found my husband.
*~*~*
"How have I never heard of this place before?" I moan before taking another spoonful of ice cream, this bowl piled up with gummy bears and pretzels. Brett watches me, a slightly disgusted look on his face. "Don't judge me!" I warn him and he smirks.
"What are you getting next?" He asks, a curious look in his eye.
"Popcorn, cherries and peanut butter." I grin, having already decided when I was last up there. "You?"
"I'll stick with caramel sauce and chocolate drops." He laughs and I roll my eyes.
"Boring!" I exclaim. He leans over towards me, his mouth close to my ear.
"I don't think that's what you were saying about me when you were wrapped around my cock the other night."
"Brett!" I exclaim and he laughs, before suddenly falling silent, glancing away from me. "What is it?" I ask.
"I... I finally approached the football coach."
"You did?" My eyes widen as he nods.
"They looked into my history and have agreed to give me a trial run when the season starts at the end of August." He announces and I squeal a little, sitting up straighter in excitement.
"That's amazing!" I reply and he nods, clearly happy with my response as a smile spreads across his face. "Just don't expect me to be a cheerleader." I snort, before stuffing a spoon of ice cream in my mouth. He laughs, nodding his head in acceptance before taking his own spoonful.
"You can cheer for me privately." He winks.
*~*~*
Brett holds the car door open and I slide in, shooting him a grateful smile. He quickly gets in his side and starts the car up, pulling out of the now empty parking lot. It was no surprise to me that we were the last ones there, kicked out at closing time.
"Did you enjoy that?" Brett asks and I grin.
"Do you even have to ask?"
"I guess not."
"I didn't want to disappoint." He declares, "I couldn't think of anywhere that is as special as the waterfall back in Edgewater." He continues, "So I'm sorry about that."
"Brett!" I say, "This was amazing. Trust me." I smile, "I loved it!"
"We'll go somewhere better next time."
"Brett!" I exclaim.
"Yeah?"
"Stop it!" I order, "This was perfect." I assure him. "Why are you so worried?"
"It..." He trails off, "It's our first date since we got back together." He shrugs.
"And I loved every minute of it." I confirm and he smiles slightly.
"I don't want to mess this up." He confesses, glancing out the windshield. It's dark now, the ice cream factory closing well after eight. His headlights are the only thing lighting up the road ahead and it's still a way to the freeway.
I feel a rebellious streak slide through me, his comment turning me on slightly, showing me that he's in this for the long haul. I have no idea where the confidence in me has come from, no idea how Brett has brought it out of me, but I find myself reaching over and gently palming him through his jeans.
I feel it react to me instantly, hardening as he takes a sharp breath in, hands tightening around the steering wheel.
"Savannah..." He warns, his voice low and husky.
"Yes?" I reply innocently, reaching up to undo the buttons. I attempt to stay out of his way as I reach over, using both hands.
"What do you think you're doing?" He asks, looking over towards me as I wrap my hand around his length and begin to move it up and down. I do nothing but send him an innocent smile as I pump, his breaths coming out thick and fast as he turns back to the road, swerving slightly down the narrow lane. I tighten my grip slightly and he curses, turning sharply and pulling the car to a stop on the side of the road. As he turns off the engine I glance around, noting that we are in the rich suburb that we passed earlier, a few of the large houses lit up from the inside.
"What are you doing?" I ask and he raises an eyebrow.
"What do you think?" He retorts, grabbing hold of my waist and gently pulling me towards him. I comply, my heart racing, worried about the people in the houses, but my need for him takes over any thoughts from Sensible Savannah. He moves me over to straddle him, the steering wheel pressing into my back. Grabbing hold of my lower back he pushes me into him, and I moan slightly as his hardness rubs against my core. "Do you feel what you do to me?" he whispers and I nod. Moving my hair to the side he reaches down, planting a chaste kiss on my exposed collarbone as I feel his hand trace down my torso, lightly over my breast, causing me to arch into him even more.
"Brett..." I breathe out and he moans before smashing his lips on mine. I begin to grind hard against him, enjoying the feel of him through our clothes. He joins in, dry humping against me, the feel of our lower regions rubbing together encouraging me to continue, pleasure shooting through me.
"Yes baby!" He moans, throwing his head back slightly as his grip tightens on my ass, pulling me even tighter against him. A hand reaches up to cup my breast and I let out a rush of air, leaning back against the steering wheel so that I can press myself against him more. Our grinding relentlessly continues, the car no doubt shaking from the action.
Brett guides my lips back to his and kisses me deeper than before, a hand on the back of my neck to keep me locked in place. With one last movement I reach my high, crying out in ecstasy as I move back slightly, the pleasure causing my body to lose its rigidness, flopping down onto the steering wheel behind me, weak.
The car horn blares with a start and I squeal, throwing myself back into Brett's chest as he laughs. God damn it. Now all these houses will be looking outside.
I quickly battle to get out of his hands and throw myself onto the passenger seat once more as he laughs, strapping my seat belt on and glaring at him with wide eyes.
"Get us out of here now!" I exclaim and he grins, turning the engine on.
"Alright." He pulls away, "But I am not done with you tonight." He says slowly and I feel a flutter of excitement in my lower region once more.
