From afar, he reminds me of you
A similar height, and nose too

Cheerily he smiles, with innocent giggles

Dissimilar to you, he is easily amused
At least he gives a smile, yours were unused

An unscathed soul, I sense from him
Unlike yours, battered and grim

His radiant complexion bursts with optimism
Compared to your expressions of cynicism

I stare up at his eyes
Bright as well
They are a shade of green
Surely I can tell
As I had stared into yours
A hundred times or more
I know the shades of green
It is the color I adore

But they are not quite the shade
That I was hoping for
His are a bore
