The Mystery Voice

Your pov,

I hummed a little song to myself as I walked out of my class. I haven't really joined a club yet so, I guess I am free to check out some clubs. I saw Ariel, Cindy, Aurora and Snow going into the choir room.
Oh, right. Ariel mentioned that she is gonna try to sing in the choir room today.

I quickly followed them.
"Hey guys! Mind if I drop by?" I said and they all turned to me, smiling.
"Sure! Come on in," Aurora said and I smiled as I walked into the room to see them getting ready for Ariel to start singing.

"Hey (Y/n). How is your day going?" Ariel asked, smiling at me nervously.
I smiled at her.
"It's so-so. Happy to see that you are gonna give it a try," I said and she chuckled nervously.

"Yea. I am so glad that you decided to try. Here's the mike," Cindrella said as she set the mike down in front of Ariel.
"And I will help you with the music," Aurora said, scrolling through her phone and joining it with the speaker.

"Umm....you know...I am gonna practice it alone," Ariel said, starting to look all nervous.
"Come on. I wanna see you sing," I said, smiling.
"Yea, we'd love to see it. Besides I can manage the music player," Aurora said and Cindy and Snow nodded.

Ariel shook her head and started escorting us out of the room.
"No. No. No. Thanka but, I'd love to practice it alone," she said, successfylly sending us out of the room.

"Are you sure you're gonna be ok?" Snow asked.
"Yes! Thank you for your helping!" Ariel said and closed the door.

Wow. I didn' know Ariel can be really nervous.

"Oh well, I guess that's ok then," I mumbled and just then, I received a call from my dad.
"Guys, I have to take this call. See you around," I said and waved at Snow, Cindy and Aurora as I walked away to where I can take the call.

I answered the phone.
"Hey dad. What's up?"

Meanwhile back with Ariel,

Ariel smiled as she took a deep breathe and listened to the music beginning beautifully.

She smiled and started singing along.

္~The day I first met you
You told me you'd never fall in love
But now that I get you
I know fear is what it really was

Now here we are
So close yet so far
Haven't I passed the test?~

Meanwhile, Eric was passing down the hallways cascually. He stopped near the choir room when he heard the music and someone singing so beautifully.

~When will you realize...
Baby, I'm not like the rest

Don't wanna break your heart
Wanna give your heart a break

I know you're scared it's wrong
Like you might make a mistake
There's just one life to live
And there's no time to wait, to wait

So let me give your heart a break
Give your heart a break

Let me give your heart a break, your heart a break

"Wow," Eric mumbled, amazed by the mysterious voice. He turned towards the choir room, curious.

Oh yeah, yeah
On Sunday you went home alone

There were tears in your eyes
I called your cell phone, my love
But you did not reply

"Stupid tainted glass! I can't see who it is inside," Eric mumbled, trying to peek through the glass but, failing.

He decided to knock on the door.

The world is ours
If we want it, we can take it
If you just take my hand
There's no turning back now
Baby, try to understand!

Don't wanna break your heart
Wanna give your heart a break
I know you're scared it's wrong.

*knock*

*knock*

Like you might make a mistake
There's just one life to live
And there's no time to wait, to wait

So let me give your heart a break
Give your heart a break
Let me give your heart a break, your heart a break
There's just so much you can take
Give your heart a break
Let me give your heart a break, your heart a break...

Ariel sightly rose a brow and turned her head to the door, hearing the knocks. She started to stop when the door opened.
Oh yeah, yeah...

"Hello?"

Ariel gasped in surprise and immediately hid behind a wall in the corner, recognizing the voice too well.

"I heard you singing and man, you have the most amzing voice...?" Eric stopped when he saw no one as he walked into the room.

"Hello? Huh? Where did she go?" Eric said, scratching the back of his head in confusion.

Your pov,

I sighed as I walked back to the choir room after talking on phone with dad.
Man, why is he so... strict?
It's not like I am doing anything stupid behind his back.

I shook my head and walked back into the choir room. I was about to call Ariel but, stopped when I saw someone unexpected standing in the room.

"Eric? What are you doing here?" I asked, trying to hide my surprise.

Eric turned to me.
"Oh. Hi (Y/n). I-I was just..." he trailed with his head looking around the room as if he was searching for someone.

Huh? I wonder where did Ariel go.

"You were just....?" I asked, curious.
Eric turned back to me with a defeated look.

"I don't know. There was... there was this amzing voice I've heard just now but, no one's here," Eric explained and I rose a brow, sightly having a vague idea of what is going on.

"Strange. I thought A-" I was cut off when we heard someone calling for Eric.
"Oops. Gotta go. Forgot that I have to get this to the teach. see ya around, (Y/n)," Eric said and left in a hurry before I could get a chance to stop him.

"Okkk..." I said and suddenly, out of nowhere, Ariel popped out screaming oh my god over and over again as she held onto my arm.

"Ariel! Ariel, what? Slow down! Why the heck are you screaming?! What's going on?!" I yelled, trying to calm her down.

She took a deep big breathe and looked at me as she explained.
"He heard it. Eric heard me!" she said and my eyes widened as I gasped.

"Omg. That was you?!" I asked and she nodded excitedly.
"B-But, Eric said no body was there when he walked in. Where were you?" I asked again and she chuckled nervously.

"Hahaha...I...freaked out and went to hide behind there," Ariel said, pointing at the small space behind the wall.

I blinked in surprise and then, facepalmed.

"Seriously? Why would you do that?" I said and she sighed.
"I know. I am sorry! He just walked in. What was I supposed to do?"she said and I sighed.

"Never mind then, there will be another chance for us to hook you up with Eric," I said and she nodded.

"Come on, let's go find the girls. I'm sure they'd love to hear the news," I said and we started talking as we walked away from the choir room.

The next day,

I smiled as I walked out of the house, ready to head to school after saying goodbye to my grandma.

(Here's your outfit)

I looked down and noticed the strings on my shoe loosened. I bent down to fix my shoe but, stopped when a pair of familiar pale hands fixed it for me.

I blushed when I met with the ocean blue eyes I have grown to love.
He smiled at me sweetly, making me flustered.
"Hey princess," he said and I blushed at the nick name which I've gotten used to him calling me that.

"J-Jack, hey," I said as we both stood up straight.
He smiled at me.
"Morning, princess. Looking beautiful today as usual," he said and I blushed.

"Haha. You're flattering me too much. What are you doing here so early? I thought we would be meeting up at our usual spot," I said and he smiled nervously before taking a step closer towards me.

"I...I just want to see you early today. I hope you don't mind," he said.
"No! Not at all. I am glad to see you too," I said and he smiled as he cupped a few strands of my hair behind my right ear, causing me to blush.

He smiled and grabbed my hand, kissing the back of it before holding it tight in his hand.

Omg. He really is a romantic. I blushed harder as I held his hand back. We smiled at each other as we started walking to school, talking and happily chatting.

We stopped for a drink in the cafe we used to go since we still got time before school.

Soon, time for school arrives and we were walking towards my school since Jack insisted that he would still walk me there.
He had his arm around me the whole time as we walked while Jack and I continued to talk about random things.

Suddenly, Jack stopped walking and talking with his arm still around me. Confused. I looked up only to see Jack looking really calm with a look I never expected to see on his face. He looked so cold.

I felt him pull me closer as he calmly stared at the distance. I looked to where he was looking and I was surprised to see Gaston walking up to us with his eyes narrowed on Jack.

Oh, boy. Why am I getting the feeling that this is not gonna end up so well?

Gaston reached to us and stood in front of Jack with his arms crossed, both of them glaring at each other.

Oh goodie.
