1) |Need More Coffee|
(A/N: Not proof-read yet cuz I'm impulsively posting this at 3 am. Pls let me know if there's any typos or parts that don't make sense :))
Shota stared at the coffee maker as it oh so slowly dredged out dark liquid into the pot. He laid his chin on his palm and closed his eyes for a moment, dozing off, only to startle back awake at the feeling of something bumping his leg. Looking down, he quirked a smile at the sight of one of his grandmother's cats.
He's lived with his grandma ever since he turned four, when his mom decided she didn't want him after he manifested his quirk. It was nice though, if a bit cluttered, in her small apartment.
Her house was cluttered with various nick-nacks and tall cat trees for her several cats. He of course knew all of them by name, even the fosters who came and went.
He loved it here. But it was a little lonely.
While he always ate dinner with his grandma, they didn't do much else together. She couldn't move around like she used to, even when he was four.
She used to be able to play with him or at least go on long walks with him during his pre-teens, but now she's quickly aged to the point of being chair ridden for most of the day.
Besides feeding the cats and making food, Shota did all the chores and all the grocery shopping as his grandma couldn't drive anymore.
And with no siblings, the little apartment grew very quiet at times. Like right now, as he got ready for school at way too early o'clock so he could make it to the train on time. It was silent. All the cats were asleep, grandma was asleep, and he wished he was asleep. He was so tired.
At the sound of the last few drops of coffee making their way into the pot Shota finally stood up from where he leaned on the counter and grabbed the pot's handle. Filling his thermos before checking he had everything in his bag, he was ready to make his way to school.
He switched out his slippers with his outdoor shoes, grabbed his keys, then moved to walk out the door-
Only to pause as soon as he opened it.
There was a baby outside of his apartment. A green eyed, young looking baby that couldn't be more than a month or two old. A baby who was staring up at him with newborn blue eyes with a hint of green in them.
He stared for a moment at the baby before he looked left and right, finding no sign of the kid's parents. So, with no other options, he picked up the carrier the newborn laid in and went back into his house to inform his grandmother.
