Chapter Six: Different People, One Plan

What was supposed to be second period was actually much different. Turns out, there was a gas leak somewhere in the pipes of the building. Therefore, all the students were sent home. This elated everyone, especially the principal himself. He was the first adult out of the building, making everybody laugh. Calls were made and cars were pulling up in the parking lot. As for the sixteen year old, his vehicle was closer to the building. He used his keys to open the car doors. He texted his little brother to see if he was going to want a ride.
The trio exited the school. Spyder was grinning from ear to ear, clearly glad that the school day didn't last long. Harris was only upset at the fact that his assignment was due today and now he had an extra day in which he struggled to finish it in the first place. And though the two weren't alone, since I said it was a trio, he was silent the whole time. He was busy texting or looking up information. His lack of speaking was new for him, which Spyder took notice to automatically.

"Hey man, what's up?" He asked.

Ryan looked up at him.

"Nothing." He answered.

Harris glanced at Spyder in disbelief.

"Well, is it ok if we ask why you were making so many deals today?" He questioned.

"Harris..." Spyder spoke in a warning tone.

"How would you know about that?" Ryan inquired.

His friend stayed silent for a few seconds before deciding to answer. However, he was beaten to it.

"Were you spying on me?" Ryan posed.

"No! We were...nicely watching you talk to people." Spyder rephrased.

Ryan gave him a weird look, as did Harris.

"What? I tried not to make it sound so bad." Spyder told them.

Harris shook his head.

"Look, we just wanted to know what was going on with you. You've been weird for the past two days." He remarked.

"So you spied on me to get the answer?" Ryan asked.

"Just to be clear, I did not think of this. It was all him." Spyder mentioned.

Harris crossed his arms at him.

"Seriously?" He quizzed.

"What?" Spyder returned in question.

"Hey!" Ryan alerted them.

The two looked at him.

"Sorry I haven't be the same, but don't spy on me. That's not cool guys." Ryan told them.

"What's not cool?"

The three of them turned around to see two girls approaching them.

"Ladies." Spyder greeted.

"Hi Spyder." Paige replied.

The jokester grinned at her in a goofy way. She giggled.

"Whatchu guys talking about? What's not cool?" Ryley inquired.

Ryan sighed.

"They were spying on me." He told her.

Ryley shrugged.

"So?" She asked.

"Soo...I thought you said-"

"Walker, I just needed you to do that for me. Besides, I changed my plans a bit." Ryley interrputed him.

Ryan rolled his eyes.

"Seems like you always change your plans..." He muttered under his breath.

Ryley walked closer to him.

"What'd you say?" She had asked him.

"What did I say?" Ryan responded.

"Uh uh. Don't be a punk about it, Ry. Tell me what you said." Ryley demanded.

"Why's it matter?" Ryan queried.

"Cause I'ma rip your little eyeballs out if you don't." Ryley threatened.

Ryan cupped her cheek.

"Aww, you always have to threaten to get what you want?" Ryan teased.

Ryley glared at him.

"I really hate you right now." She retorted.

The two kissed for about a few seconds before returning to the previous conversation.

"Wait, you guys are dating?" Spyder questioned.

Ryley nodded.

"Alright man! That's awesome!" Spyder congratulated.

"What did Mark say?" Harris asked.

The couple shared a laugh.

"Mark didn't have to say anything...cause he was freaking out." Ryley told them.

"Well since it's you, that makes sense." Harris replied.

"Yo!"

The five of them turned to their left.

"You wanna ride?!" Mark yelled.

Ryan was about to answer, but his girlfriend shut him up.

"No! He's good!" Ryley answered back.

"I am?" Ryan asked.

His partner nodded. She pointed to the street. Everyone saw that there was a shiny, black vehicle pulling up. The group walked towards it as they glanced at one another. Ryley smiled.

"Hi Kelly!" She shouted.

The window rolled down to reveal a friend of the cheerleader's.

"Sup Ryles. Hi Paige! Hey guys!" Kelly greeted.

The sixteen year old looked back at her friends, who were amazed.

"We get to ride in that?" Harris had inquired shocked.

"Yup!" Spyder repsonded loudly.

The gang realized he was already in the car. They all laughed. Mark walked over to them.

"Where'd you get this?" He wondered.

"My dad. Now come on, I'm not waiting all day." Kelly told them.

"I'm good. Hey don't forget, Leo wants to meet us later." Mark reminded the team.

They all nodded. The gang jumped into the vehicle. Paige was in the middle of Harris and Spyder. Ryley sat next to Ryan, who got the window seat. The driver locked the doors and drove off. The whole crew left the parking lot of Bay City East.

*******************

"I can't believe we haven't found a way out yet!" Grey shouted.

"It's a cell. You can't get out without a key." Seth told her.

"Yes you can. That kid had a secret door that flung you out. Why won't it open again?!" Grey asked frustrated.

"Because we have no control of that door." Seth answered.

"Aww, are we a little mad that we can't escape a simple cell?"

The young man returned to the trio of prisoners. The three were glaring at him. Morris tilted his head to the right. He noticed that another person had come to join them. He crossed his arms.

"Who's your friend? Is he your little toy?" Morris questioned.

"First off bucko, I'm not a dude. And second..."

The other person besides the young man took of the black mask.

"I'm his sister." She revealed.

"What are you two doing? What's your motive for all this?" Seth inquired.

The girl walked up to him and growled a little.

"I hate you more than I can say it." The young lady snapped.

"Well, that's obviously a part of it." Seth spoke right after.

"You ruin lives every day and don't even care. Now, it's your turn to see what that's like." The young lady seethed.

She turned back to her brother and followed him to the back. The trio glanced at one another before Grey sighed.

"Any ideas?" She questioned.

"Call for help." Morris suggested.

"Who are we gonna call? The police? They'll arrest us if anything." Seth told him.

"You got a better idea?" Morris quizzed.

"I'd rather rot here and wait til you two die before I think about getting out." Grey spoke under her breath.

The guys glared at her. She shrugged and smirked.

"Oh trust me, once our plan is done, you'll be nothing but a memory." The young man assured.
