Chapter Seven: Unraveling The Rest

The car began slowing down as Kelly pulled up at Ryley's place. The guys took a peek at the house. It was big, but not the size of a mansion. The light blue paint job was flawless, with the edges having a hint of white. The view was a lot better once they were in the driveway. The car came to a halt. The gang slid out of the vehicle. The air was cool, trees blowing ever so lightly. Ryley had a smile on her face as she grasped the pilot's hand into hers. The crew headed towards the front door.

"Um, I thought you were gonna take us home." Harris mentioned.

"Relax. Ask your parents can you stay for a bit. Besides, none of you have been in my house." Ryley responded.

Kelly tossed her the keys. Ryley waved as her friend went back into her car. The cheerleader unlocked the door and opened it. Spyder sped in like a maniac. His eyes went all over the place. Who could blame him though? It was beautiful. Harris closed the door behind them. Ryan had disappeared in an instant.

"Wow, nice place you got here." Harris complimented.

Ryley looked at him.

"Thanks." She replied.

The daredevil was spotted near the room on the left.

"What's in here?" He asked.

"My uncle's room. You shouldn't be in there though. If your even a foot inside without permission, your gonna get in trouble." Ryley told him.

"Is he here?" Spyder questioned.

"No. But he'll notice anything. When he and my aunt get back, he'll check out everything." Ryley answered.

Spyder shrugged. He walked inside the room anyway. Harris and Ryley looked at one another as they shook their heads and shared a chuckle.

"He doesn't really listen well does he?" Ryley inquired.

"He never does." Harris had responded.

The sixteen year old walked near the bathroom. Her friend had joined her.

"So, your mostly here by yourself?" Harris asked in question.

Ryley nodded.

"Pretty much." She stated.

"Why?" Harris wondered.

"My aunt and uncle are always on business." Ryley informed him.

Harris nodded.

"What about your parents?" He posed.

Ryley bit her lip for a few moments before answering.

"My parents are um....their kinda-"

"Gone?" Harris guessed.

Ryley sighed.

"I'm sorry Ryles. If it bothers you, we don't have to-"

"Yeah...thanks." Ryley interrupted him.

Harris gave her a small smile.

"Well, feel free to do what you want. I gotta talk to your little techie." Ryley finished off.

She walked past Harris and went up the stairs. The young genius then heard a noise. He took a look to his left and saw his friend come out of Ryley's uncle's room. There was a bit of smoke coming from his hat. The shorter freshman of the three chuckled once more.

"Looks like he really doesn't want people in his room." Spyder said.

While the boys were downstairs, the male technopath was exploring the rest of the house. There were a couple of rooms, another bathroom, and a closet. The young man continued to navigate his way on the top floor. The house felt comfortable overall. It wasn't overly pricey or a building made for a celebrity or the richest of the rich. It was normal for the most part, which satisfied him greatly.
His fun little trip soon came to an end. Something caught his attention immediately. He backed up and glimpsed at the room on his right. Slowly becoming curious, he made his way into what supposedly seemed like the largest room in the house. The middle of it contained a rug. Little Walker snatched it and saw a chip sized button on the floor. He tilted his head, a bit confused if it was meant for something or just there. Instead of wondering about it, he stepped on it. Nothing happened. He shrugged and walked away from it. As his back faced it, the room lit up.
The fifteen year old turned back around and watched. TV like computers covered every piece of the wall. The pilot didn't just see a plan, he saw the plan. As in, the other parts that his girlfriend kindly left out. He took a peek at it, unaware that he wasn't alone.

"Well aren't you a snooper, Curious George."

The male technopath turned around and jumped a bit. The cheerleader giggled.

"I didn't mean to-"

"It's fine, I...was gonna tell you about this anyway." Ryley reassured him.

Ryan nodded.

"I got all the supplies back at the base. Everything is pretty much done. Now, all we have to do is show up." Ryley told him.

"Base? What base do you have?" Ryan asked.

"What? I'm gonna plan all this and try to kill bad guys without having a base? You never watched Batman?" Ryley questioned in return.

"Technically it's a Batcave, not a base." Ryan corrected her.

Ryley poked him in the forehead.

"Like I said, don't be Harris." She told him.

The sophomore grabbed his hand and tugged him along. The room they were in had a small hatched door. The entrance into the room the pilot discovered was locked by the cheerleader. Returning to the hatch, she unlocked that door and had her partner follow her down. The couple headed down the stairs. Ryley stopped, which caused the same effect for the young freshman.

"This may seem a little far." She warned him.

"What do you mean?" Ryan questioned.

His girlfriend glanced at the wall before answering.

"Well...you'll have to see for yourself." Ryley told him.

With that, they continued down the stairs. It only took two minutes or so before a door was present. The cheerleader had her boyfriend stop. She quickly texted someone, notifying they were there. Surely enough a response came through, with the sixteen year old smiling with pleasure.

"The boss is here."

The trio of prisoners looked at the young man.

"Your boss?" Seth asked.

"Yes! Get em out here! I gotta a few words for that guy!" Morris shouted.

"Words?! Soon as we get out of here, he won't even get to speak!" Grey threatened.

"You adults get on my last nerve. Yeah! Like we're the problem." The young lady insulted.

She joined her brother near the steps. The sound of a buzzer filled the ears of everyone inside. The young man stood next to a speaker. He pressed the button beside it.

"We got em." The teen informed.

"Perfect." The person responded elated.

The young lady punched the code in. The door lifted up and footsteps made their way down the stairs. It wasn't too long before their appearance was noticeable. The young man turned and locked the entrance. The four teens looked at the captured enemies.

"You?!" Grey yelled.

"Huh...you know I kinda saw this coming." Seth admitted.

Morris kept glaring at the teens.

"Nice job guys. And Jones, your father did a great job with infiltrating Grey." Ryley complimented.

"Yeah, that's his thing. And you don't have to call me by my last name." Jones told her.

"I know, but it sounds better than Bernie." Ryley preferred.

The other two laughed at the way it sound.

"Aha! Bernie!" The young lady teased.

"You already knew that, Hannah!" Bernie retaliated.

"I know, that's why it's funny!" Hannah giggled.

Bernie shot her a dirty look. His sister only nudged him a bit.

"Wait, how did you get them? Oh woah woah wait a sec, you three just let yourselves get caught?!" Ryan asked becoming amused.

Grey shot him a fake smile that quickly dropped.

"No we didn't. This one over here managed to sneak in. I'm telling you, security sucks in our building." Morris retorted while fingering at Bernie.

The young man shrugged.

"You had no idea about this?" Seth wondered.

"I know she had a plan to help me and that she needed some stuff, but I didn't know about the rest of this. Ryley, what kind of plan is this anyway? You tell me one thing and then it's something completely different." Ryan spoke very confused.

His new flame walked up to him and sighed.

"Yes, I can be very weird and confusing at times." Ryley started.

"At times? Girl, I don't know if you've been counting-"

"We get it, Bernie." The cheerleader quickly cut him off.

The teen nodded.

"But like I said, I know what I'm doing. Your helping a lot whether you realize it or not. This would not be possible without you. And them too." Ryley continued.

She and the others went to the other side of the room. The young lady turned back, seeing that she was short one person. She smiled.

"Come on, don't you trust me?" Ryley inquired.

The pilot looked at her for a few moments. So far, he began to question that to himself. Though she wasn't bad, something didn't feel right. But come on! It's Ryley! Would she really pull something so crazy? Of course she's capable of doing so, but that doesn't mean she would...right? The male technopath pushed that to the side. He rolled his eyes and smiled while joining the sophomore and the group to finalize what they were doing.
