1) Update Schedule: This book is complete, and all updates are locked and loaded! New chapters will be posted every Sunday at 8 AM US Central Time. While I used to post chapters as they came to life, I'm aiming for consistency now. Feel free to ask when the next update is (hint: Sunday!). I promise pestering won't speed it up. I tried bribing myself with snakes--it didn't work either.

2) Writing Style: This story is written in third person with changing POVs. My OC is the main protagonist, with Finnick Odair as the secondary protagonist. Occasionally, we'll switch perspectives to offer fresh insights and enrich the storytelling. I know this approach may not be everyone's style, so if it's not what you're looking for, I totally understand—I'm just glad you popped in here to give it a glance!

3) Content Warning: If you know me or my past works, you know I lean into the darker side of storytelling with hard-earned Happily Ever After's. This is your first warning as to the serious topics discussed within:

4) Fandom Context: This story is set within the world of Suzanne Collins' original Hunger Games trilogy, with nods to both the books and movies. I don't own any original characters or plots—those belong to the ever-talented Collins—but my original characters (OCs) and plot deviations are my brainchildren. Writers, take note: I'm all for inspiring creativity. Feel free to use my ideas as inspiration, just don't copy them! Imitation may be flattery, but plagiarism? That's a no-no.

5) Timeline and Deviations: This story is set roughly two years after Finnick's victory in the 65th Hunger Games and includes an original district of my own creation. Expect plot deviations woven in with the familiar threads of Suzanne Collins' world. If fanfics with OCs or deviations make you cringe, this might not be your cup of tea. I promise I won't be offended! Book 2 is being written now and will be out SOON!

6) Character Notes: In my fanfiction, Finnick Odair is paired with a female OC, alongside LGBTQ+ side characters and subplots. If this isn't your jam, or if you're not a fan of age-gap romances (don't worry, everyone's 18+ when the romance kicks in), this might not be for you. Note: This book introduces their dynamic—it's all about foundation, not fireworks.
