This is a collection of random things I had written at some point, probably a thought that came to me suddenly or when I was trying to write something. Some of it may still be relevant to the story, some of it may be outdated, some may be a mix of both. Perhaps I'll use something from here in the future...
------------------
1. Individuality
Our vessels are built on the same fundamental structure; only the information varies, and that physical existence matters not. We have the same capacity of notions and are born with equal amounts of every emotion. It is what we express and what we recognise within ourselves, and what affects us subconsciously; the rest are merely unconscious. They can be awakened anytime in any circumstance.
Even the soul within us is a part of the one, it is of one sole form. We reach the same enlightenment, the same equilibrium and the same none-existing point; nothingness and that which is All.
What makes us different? How are we individuals with the exact same potential? The coinciding origin and end?
Memories, Experience, Personal...
2. Decoherence
A rip in the fabric of the Shadow Dimension means decoherence of existence. Only one universe will remain in existence, choosing it based on causality and probability. There shall be no more free will with all outcomes following the same path as chosen by that decoherence. No free will, nothing.
However, with actual information leaking out, something unexpected may indeed happen. information goes out of existence, it is no more, and this one universe will eventually blink out of existence. The question for rationality doesn't even stand.
There will be nothing. No information, no space, no god, no time, no truth.
Nothing.
Not even a void.
3. Something Vlad would say? (1)
As true beings of life, your existence is absolute.
Light experiences no time. Only energy that can create and be created from destruction of opposites.
However, this is only a title created for the simplicity of physical beings. Physically yes, they are like light. But in abstract means... they don't experience, but they are aware. Everything is timeless. Memories are nothing but fragments of information that do not require a chain of time. They have learned, so now they are.
And yet sometimes they return to the physical world... Why?
For an experience of time, perhaps?
4. Something Vlad, or Audrey, or Jack would say?
Living things, bound by nature, we cannot always understand their struggles. That is why we become more like them.
What do you do when the people you want to see are scattered across three places, all difficult to reach, and you are required to be in a fourth place?
What do you do when you miss goodbye by mere minutes, and time floods regret into your head?
What do you do when you wish to contact them, but are separated by the running time?
Distance makes the heart grow fonder, but that is not without pain.
Too long and you'll forget.
5. Vlad and Audrey
"What an interesting word the sentient created." Vlad's tone was like a trill to Audrey. "Okay. What a curious sentiment. And it does not exist only in one language or species. It is seen everywhere."
"Perhaps it is the ultimate state of neutrality. Of balance."
"Humans don't seem to think so. Other species, too."
"Some humans do."
"Hmm, perhaps that perspective of theirs changes with time."
6. Dreams of Shadow Beings
"Shadow Beings don't dream, do they?"
"That's impossible," Trina chuckled, though immediately after wore an aura of intrigue, closing her eyes.
"Although, maybe we visit the Shadow Dimension sometimes."
7. A Snippet
She woke to two fair beings.
As the end came near, this land's spirit left
Too young was the true one, find the bridge
She was right there, right next to them
With them at that novel moment.
8. Audrey's fear
That scene pained of gold. A false scene set to intimidate her.
Audrey was surprised at how she didn't waver in that moment. As if someone else took over her for a moment.
What if that came true? What if all of her friends, all of the Shadow-Trappers, had really gone and she was the last one standing? What if she was just lucky? What if the Shadows of past had failed?
How did their final battle take place in the physical world? The past was in the Shadow Dimension. There was no past. Why was theirs in the physical world? What if it could be reversed?
Every step had been laid out by the Shadows of the past... Audrey thought about destiny from time to time, unable to spend too much time on it once lest she fell down a never ending hope. What did she do? What did the shadows of the present do? It was as if they simply followed whatever was laid out by the past. In that case why go through anything? Through everything? What was the point of anything? Why go through these hurdles of thoughts and emotions as Shadow Beings?
What Ariana had said about species came to Audrey's mind. What if, along with the Demonic Creatures and the Wind Phoenexias the Shadow-Trappers were "wiped" too. The next would come anyway. Would it reset their "culture"? Or perhaps they could do it on their own?
What were they building, as Shadow-Trappers? What was the point of their existence? Any existence?
9. "17.3"
Human Beings. Stumped Evolution. Hindrance to Nature, by nature.
10. Randomness (1)
What do you do?
"Beyond physical existence is 'life'. Beyond that is sentience, cognitive process, thinking. Beyond it is knowing. Beyond that is everything. Beyond that... is nothing. Meaninglessness and purpose at once. A superposition of all. An equilibrium of neutrality.
"Nothing."
"We are beings of light. Of All. We are Shadow Beings. We head towards order, from disorder. The thermodynamic arrow of time is reversed for us, but someway along the way it pointed towards disorder. That will soon be no more.
"We are of light. We are no light.
"We are the absence of light. We are beyond light.
"Beyond black holes.
"Beyond comprehension.
"Beyond everything.
11. Randomness (2)
Thinking is learning. Thinking is wondering. Thinking is interpreting. Thinking is understanding. Thinking is solving. Thinking processing. Thinking is comprehending.
And then comes a time when we think, "Why do we think?"
We are built that way. By what? By nature. What made nature? Disorder. Entropy. Information. What made information? Where does information come from?
Why do we think? We are curious. We become curious when our comprehension of the world, our perspective, our order is challenged. Our thinking is challenged. Therefore, we think. But why do we think?
Thinking enables us to commit actions. We often feel through thoughts. We are individual through the set of our thoughts.
.
.
.
"What is all of this?"
The second-to-deepest echoes of sentience, all encrypted in the fabric of the Shadow Dimension.
"What lies beyond that?"
