Chapter 17

Eren never thought changing clothes could be a hassle .

“ can’t I just wear this pyjama ? Its more comfy” Eren mumbled

“ That won’t do . Andrew’s clothes are too small to you either “ said Elsa to herself clearly deep in thought .

Eren decide that it was best he just let her do what she wants .

Elsa search through the wardrobe . She couldn’t find anything suitable for Eren to wear. Of course she could ask one of the tailor but it will take time for it to be finish.

Then a box caught her attention. Memories come flooded into her mind

“ Elsa look what I got for our Eren !” said Jack with a grin

“ please don’t tell me it’s another toy . You bought way too much . We hardly have any space left” said Elsa as she carrying Eren in her arm

“ I thought Eren might need more fun” pouted Jack

“ Toys that can fill the whole throne room?” Elsa raises her eyebrows

“ I don’t see him complaining.” Said Jack as he nip Eren’s little nose which causes the baby to giggles

“ What can I say ? He’s so much like his father” smiled Elsa

“ anyway .. I didn’t get him toys this time” grinned Jack

“ What did you get then?” asked Elsa curiously

“ tadaa! “ exclaimed Jack as he show Elsa a mini blue jacket that look exactly like his “ now he can wear matching jacket with me!” grinned Jack

“ aren’t you exited Eren ? You can wear the same jacket as papa !” said Jack as he nuzzle Eren’s chubby cheeks which causes the baby to squealed  

Elsa let out a small laugh as she watch Jack placing the jacket on Eren. It seems too big for Eren. . “ It’s too big for him. We need to wait till he grow up a little” said Elsa

“ Aww… I guess I mistaken and took the bigger size” pouted Jack

“ This probably for a 10 year old” Elsa giggled

“ You better grow up fast okay little guy? Then you can be just like papa” said Jack as he ruffled Eren’s blonde hair

Eren only cooed in his baby words in response .

“ Perhaps …” Elsa mumble before taking the familiar blue clothes and let Eren wear them

“ It look like Jack’s” said Eren as he look at the clothes he’s wearing. It was a perfect fit

Elsa smiled warmly at Eren. Her eyes were filled with emotions.

“ It was meant to look like Jack’s” said Elsa

“ Is it okay for me to wear it?” asked Eren

“ yes. Don’t you worry about it” said Elsa “ it was meant for you “ she added barely above whisper

Eren walk around the room in his new outfit . It feels a little weird but comfortable . He suddenly notice a portrait on the way. He could recognize the two figures in it. It was Elsa and Jack . The clothes they wear were a little different . Somewhat more stunning and elaborate .

“ that’s you and Jack right?” asked Eren as he pointed towards the portrait

“ yes. Its our wedding portrait” said Elsa as she gaze at the portrait lovingly

“ what’s a wedding ?” asked Eren curiously

“ it’s a ceremony  where two person that is very much in love together decided to share their life together “ said Elsa

“ love …” Eren mumbled

He could see in the picture that both of them are happy. He wondered , will he be ever find someone to love him and live happy ? or ..will he just be a monster like pitch said he would ?

“ Will I ever find it?” said Eren almost to himself

Elsa was surprised at the sudden statement  . She hear the hidden sorrow beneath his tone . She slowly lean down so that she could see Eren eye to eye

“ of course . In fact , you already have it “ said Elsa

“ I have ?” Eren looked at her

“ your parents. You already have their love” said Elsa

“ no” said Eren . His stares suddenly turns into a glare. Elsa could see his hatred beneath those blue eyes.

“ You’re wrong. They abandon me. Im a monster. They don’t love me” said Eren

Elsa felt her heart clench . She love Eren with all her heart. To know that your one and only son thought you have abandon him hurts her .

“ That’s not true.” Said Elsa

“ What do you know ?!” said Eren in an angry tone . Elsa could feel the temperature inside the room dropping and ice started to form beneath their feet .

“ Eren… “ Elsa called him gently

“ I’ve lived in darkness ..  I only know the cold .. I was left alone .. if they loved me they should have come for me” said Eren in anguish

Elsa could see herself in Eren. She remembered the days where she locked herself inside her own room . Not allowing anyone in including Anna . The days where she felt alone . Everything she once experience , she could see them in him. Perhaps what he been through is much worse .

“ Im just a monster . No one loves me” said Eren in his shaking voice

Small shards starts to from beneath Eren . It could hurt her but Elsa didn’t care . She stepped closer to boy and pull him into an embrace

Eren was surprised

“ you’re not a monster . you never were  and never will” said Elsa

Her words soothes him.In her warm embrace, he quickly regain his control his power .

“ don’t ever think that of yourself . You’re precious . and don’t ever think that no one loves you because I do” said Elsa

Eren widened his eyes in surprised . “ W-why ? “ he muttered . Both he and Elsa just met yesterday . How could she love him just like that ? It doesn’t make any sense

Elsa smiles before giving his forehead a warm kiss . “ because you’re precious”

Eren was speechless . It was then he notice a little red stain on her left arm.

“ Your arm …it’s bleeding” Eren said guiltily

Elsa just realized it too. It must have been due to the shards .

“ don’t worry . It’ll heal” said Elsa

“ but ..it must be painful “ said Eren

“ Its nothing that I cant bear”

Eren looked down to the ground . He had  hurt her . How can he cannot be a monster ? How can she find him precious? How can she love him?”

“ Eren..” Elsa called him softly which causes Eren to look up to her .

“ Its not your fault” said Elsa

Somehow Eren still feel bad about hurting her . Elsa could read him like a book. She let out a small smile .

“ do you want to see a magic ?” said Elsa

Eren look at her curiously .

“ watch this “ said Elsa as she used on of her leg to give the floor a small tap and create a frozen floor perfect for skating inside the room

“ woah ! this is amazing !” Eren eyes shine in excitement

“ do you know how to skate ?” asked Elsa

Eren look at her in confusion which Elsa took it as a hint that he didn’t even know what skate is

“ I’ll show you “ with a quick zap of her power , she create a pair of skating shoes for Eren

It wasn’t long before Eren starts to smile again. As if the sadness and anguish he felt a few moments ago just vanish and Elsa was glad that she manage to make him happy again .

Night has already befall Arendelle and both Elsa and Eren was together in the room where the first meet the night before. The nursery .  Over the course of the day , they grow very much close to each other . As if they have been together for years and for Elsa , it was as if they were never seperted to begin with

Elsa was sitting on the rocking chair with Eren on her lap. Eren had insisted her to read the books on the shelves .

“ I forget something ..” said Eren

“ What is it ?” Elsa asked

“ I was planning to put it back yesterday..” said Eren as he show her the snowflake that he had taken from the mobile  “ I should give it back to you “

Elsa gave him a warm smile “ you can keep it “ said Elsa

“ r-really ? “ asked Eren which causes Elsa to nod

“ Thank you. I’ll take good care of it “ said Eren happily

Elsa let out a small chuckle “ should I continue with the story?”

“ yes , please ! “ exclaimed Eren excitedly

“ And the mother sing’s a lullaby to her daughter ..” said Elsa as she read the lines inside the book

“ how do you sing a lullaby?” asked Eren curiously

“ its not that hard .” said Elsa

“ can you sing it ? “ asked Eren

“ I could …” Elsa said hesitantly

“ I want to listen “ said Eren in pleading tone

Elsa knew at that moment that she couldn’t say no to him. She softly sing the lyrics from the book .

Constant as the stars above ,

Always know that you are loved,

And my love shining in you ,

Will help you make your dreams come true,

Will help your dreams come true

The lyrics somehow touched her heart . She could see Eren’s starts to rub his eyes sleepily .

The lamb lies down and rests it’s head

On it’s mother’s downy bed

Dolphin plays in the moon light’s glow

And butterfly dreams of violet rose

Eren closes his eyes and drift off to his sleep. Elsa gently stroke his hair as she sings the next verse of the song

I’ll cradle you in my arms tonight

As sun embraces the moonlight

The clouds will carry us off tonight

Our dreams will run deep like the sea

Our dreams will run deep like the sea

It was then another voice joined her . His voice were warm and filled with love . Elsa look to the direction where it came from . It was Jack . He continue to walk towards them as he sing together the song. Eyes never left Eren sleeping figure

Constant as the stars above ,

Will help you make your dreams come true,

Will help your dreams come true

By the they finished the song , Elsa couldn’t help but let out a few tears of her own as she hold sleeping Eren closer to her .

“ Jack ..it’s Eren .. he’s our Eren” said Elsa shakily

“ He’s  our boy” Jack smile bitterly

Elsa gently caresses Eren’s face  

“ I should’ve told you sooner.. “ whisper Jack

“ You have your reason and I can see it. He was filled with hatred towards his parents . Towards us “ Elsa said bitterly

“   We’ll do something about it. We’ll show him how much we actually love him” said Jack as he stroke Eren’s hair

After all , the only way to cure one’s hatred is through love .

Authors note : Thank for all of your comments T^T please don’t stop . I need the motivation to force my brain to think of an idea to write . and sorry for the long delay. I feel so bad for making you guys wait so long so I did my best to write the chapter as long as the previous one … but ended up with 2 pages short ..please don’t kill me >.<

I do not own the song. It is from Barbie movie … I forget which movie but the title is constant as the star above and I thought that its beautiful for Elsa and Eren and also Jack..  yeah..I made Jack sing . haha ( but I think Christ Pine has a wonderful voice if he choose to sing  )
