Garvit was a wizard with exceptional ability. By three, he was turning his porridge to pudding and freezing pixies in mid-air for entertainment. But Garvit's pride was vast. He believed the wonders he conjured with magic made him invincible. One day a villager spied Garvit luring a dragon with a bar of dark chocolate. As the dragon neared, he slipped a leashed collar around the beast’s neck. Garvit had captured a dragon. Once the chocolate was gone, the dragon took off to the sky, dragging Garvit. No one has seen Garvit since, but now we know dragons love dark chocolate.

Dragons and trolls. Two of the creatures I feared most, and yet instead of running away, I found myself staring open-mouthed at the two of them. The dragon, its head alone two times my size, and the three-meter tall one-eyed troll fighting over something so trivial I had accidentally dropped near the lake. It was beast versus beast, fire vs axe, and both could kill me with great ease if they wanted to. Yet I was not their object of focus. I never thought dragons loved dark chocolate, but as it slew the troll, I knew it to be true.

At long last, the goblin king had met his demise at the mighty blade of the gallant knight upon the princess' rescue.

Escaping the black halls of the ancient lair, the pair met with the goblin king's pet, the terrible Great Red Dragon.

“Move or we'll cut through with my blade!”

“No, my dear gallant knight! He could still be of use.”

With the princess's instruction, the knight tossed his food pouch into the dragon's mouth. In return, it let them ride on its back.

“I never thought dragons loved dark chocolates.” The knight said and they flew back home.

My eyes ran across the frozen tundra as I stood firmly still monitoring the gigantic dragon's movement in front of me. As the king of the moon elves, I need to slay this beast in order for our kingdom to live in perfect harmony. I heaved a deep sigh, as I took another step forward. One wrong move and I could be done for. But I suddenly slipped causing me to tumble right under its nose. That time, I thought I was done for if it weren't for my special weapon. “Huh, I never thought that dragons loved dark chocolate.”

As a faerie of the local woods, it had been easy for Aether to trick creatures into giving her what she wanted, simply with bribery; humans gave her sugar for gold, dwarves accepted mead for jewels, and nymphs gave honey for glitter. She made servants of every creature that traversed her woods -- except dragons. She had tried everything to get a dragon's fire -- gold, jewels, sugar, and everything else that made other creatures drool -- but she would have never thought dragons loved dark chocolates until she had gleaned some from a human. The creature smelled the bitter candy and caved.
