On a crisp Autumn night, the world was to be terribly shaken. For, two of its kings, had fallen, a drop of poison had killed them, but no one knew this. Nor did anyone know the culprit, but this led to a story that causes so much mayhem for the world.

On this Autumn night, October 13th, befalling on a Friday, two boys, who's light shine brighter than a billion stars, were chosen to be king, the dying wish of the kings. These kings had seen these two boys, and thought they'd be fit to fix the world, to one they had fallen into so easily. With each king, a gift was to be issued. The king of hearts and the king of spades. The key to unlocking the secrets.

"Gilbert, you meanie!" A little pink haired boy pouts. His hair wasn't naturally that color, it was normally flame red, but the laughing white haired child named Gilbert had bleached both of their hair. Gilbert normally had messy blond hair, but now it was white, violet, rather, lilac eyes shine from his sockets, his skin horridly pale, as if kissed by death. While he was young, it was plain to see he'd become one fine young man.

"Natsu, you look fine." The boy giggled. Natsu, his flaming red hair now a flaming pink, had molten stone eyes, like magma had seeped through the cracks. His skin was tan, like a blessing from the sun. The two had not yet known their fate, but knew well this would be their last encounter, or so they thought.

"I'll forgive you, as long as you promise to be my friend forever." Natsu pouted. Gilbert smiled.

"I promise. But I have to leave soon, so, here." Gilbert pulled out a necklace from his pocket. This necklace was a black cross, about the size of the palm of his hands. Inside the cross was a smaller silver one that's it perfectly nestled inside, wings spread out on the arms of the cross. A gem at the bottom. Natsu started at it, picked it up and admiring it.

"Thank you Gil!" Natsu hugged his friend, putting on the necklace. "I have something for you too." Natsu pulled out a pocket watch. Made out of beautiful silver, dragons carved into the back of it and taking over the front. The watch part itself was accompanied by a photo of the pair. Smiling, Gilbert put it in his pocket.

"I promise you Natsu, we'll meet again, so, let's not say goodbye, let's say, see you later!" Natsu agreed, grabbing his friends hand.

"See you later." Tears formed in their eyes.

"See you later." The two were forced to say goodbye, thinking it was their last meeting. They clutched their gifts tightly to their chest as they were forced out of their lives and made into kings.

"Gilbert, I will be strong so I can see you again."

"Natsu, I know you'll hate me for leaving, but I promise that I'll make it up to you."

Their adventure was all but over. In fact, it had just begun. And this was the first page.
