(Star)"A CAMPING TRIP!?"

(Caram)"...A camping trip?"

(William)"Yeah! Doesn't that sound like a good idea?"

(Caram)"May I ask why, though? Don't you have people after you? Sleeping in the middle of the woods is a good way to get you stabbed."

(William)"Don't worry, I got it all figured out! There's a special place in the Deku Forest where nobody lives in, just a bunch of giant trees! And my life sensing can detect even little bugs!"

(Caram)"Uh huh. Well I'm not doing anything this weekend anyway. Sure."

(Star)"I LOVE the sound of that!"

(What she says when the plan of destroying magic is on the table.)

(William)"Great! We can go there tomorrow!"

This wasn't just a little trip, this was actually an attempt to impress Star. Even though he knew how to deal with making friends like it was nothing, William felt the need to do such things as what he's seen in those cartoons Imor showed him. His plan was to show off his survival skills, and his physical strength.

The next day, Caram went to the boy's house, with a large duffle bag.

(Caram)"Ok, I'm ready."

(William)"Whoa, that's a big bag? Whatcha got in there?"

(Caram)"What do you think? Just the essential camping-"

Star unzipped the bag, causing three days worth of candy bars, cola, and two whole bags of sugar labeled "Emergency Sugar Reserves".

(Caram)"....Supplies......Father wouldn't let me go unless I took these."

(Star)"Jealous! Wish I was allowed to eat all this every day!"

(William)"Don't you remember what happened last week when you brought sugar to that taco place?"

She did, it was a day of chaos, brought by a sugar-crazed Butterfly.

(Star)"Yeah...it was SO worth it!"

(William)"Yeah...500 dollars worth of damage was worth it. Well, time to head out!"

He took out a pair of scissors. The handle was purple, in the shape of a heart, and the blades were shaped like an arrow.

(Caram)"You use Dimensionsal Scissors? What, you can't just open a portal to the Oozai Realm yet?"

(William)"Not for anymore than a second, still can't get it right at the moment."

Star inspected the scissors with amazement, as she hadn't seen William uses the magical tool before today.

(Star)"You have a pair, too! Man, everyone I know seems to have one but me!"

(William)"I don't think you'd wanna go through Hekapoo's trial, it takes...a long while."

He cut a red portal in the air, which lead to a small circle of open space, surrounded by a seemingly endless forest of trees hundreds of meters tall.

(Caram)"Huh, picked a real ominous spot, don't you think?"

(William)"You worry too much, Caram! There's a small Deku settlement just by those trees east of us!"

(Caram)"Wait, isn't a camping trip supposed to be far away from civilization? Have you ever even camped before?"

(William)"N-No, but I've seen everything you do on TV! First, you gotta set up tents and a fire! Then you go fishing, then sing a song around a campfire!"

(Caram)"So we set up the tents first? Ok, let's get started-"

(Star)"I got this! Campsite Sparkle Tidal Wave."

A massive amount of glittery water shot out from her wand, temporarily flooding the area. And when the water subsided, three tents were perfectly set up, even a fire, somehow.

(William)"Oh...wow. That wand is pretty cool!"

(Caram)"Thank God my bag's waterproof...ugh..."

(Star)"So what's next, Willie???"

(William)"Willie?!/ W-Well now, I guess we should go fishing down that pond east of us!"

(Star)"Okie dokie!"

The three of them walked over to a massive pond, where a couple of Deku children were standing by the water.

(Deku)"Hey! It's Fen! Hey, Fen!"

(Star)"Fen? Who's Fen?"

(Caram)"They're talking about William, Star. The Oozai word for Will is Fen, so I guess a lot of people call him that. Do you not know the Oozai language?"

(Star)"Oh! Sorry, I never took the time to learn!"

(William)"I could teach you some time, if ya want!"

(Star)"Sure, it sounds pretty cool!"

(Caram)"I know I've been doing nothing but ask questions this entire time, but how are you gonna fish without a rod?"

(William)"Just watch!"

He crossed his fingers, creating a small barrier, then lowered it into the water. After a few moments, a large blue fish was pulled from the pond, with the barrier in its mouth.

(Star)"Whoa! That thing's huge!"

(William)"Haha! I think this is the biggest one in the pond!"

(Caram)"Hm...let me try."

He walked over to the edge, elongated his tail in the water, and soon flung a black scaled horned fish into the sky. It was so big, it could eat William's catch without even chewing.

(Deku)"OH WOW!!! That guy caught a fish bigger than Fen!!"

Then as if it was nothing, Caram's soul appeared, and fired a long spear which went through the beast's mouth, and he caught it like it was made of styrofoam.

(Caram)"There we are, looks like I win!"

(Star)"Wait, wait! It's my turn now!"

Her wand turned into a fishing rod, and she began pulling random fish from the water. They were a number of shapes, colors and sizes, but none were any bigger than Caram's.

(William)"Oh, she's...better at this than me and Caram..."

(Hours later)

The group, thanks to their comical luck, had an aquatic feast that night. Each and every fish was roasted over a large fire via Caram's spears, as an Oozai with melee Soul Weapons can produce multiple at once, including ones with any kind of variation the Oozai desires. For example, William can make any type of shape out if his barrier, as long as he can understand the complexity of said shape, and Caram could turn his spear into a dagger, or even a sword, just by mentally shortening the handle and elongating the blade.

(Star)"Wow! This is, like, really good!"

(William)"That's what I said about Earth food. Ain't it weird how food from other worlds taste a million times better than the stuff thought was the best at your place?"

(Caram)"So Will, mind if I just call you Fen? Not saying I hate your name, just like the other one better."

(William)"Sure!"

(Caram)"Ok then. So Fen, we've set up a campsite, went fishing, what was the other thing you suggested?"

(William)"Uh...oh right! With the moon out, we sing a song around the fire!"

(Caram)"Could I do it? There's this one Earth song I heard a week ago."

(William)"Uh, sure. Go ahead!/But I wanted to sing..."

(Caram)"Alright, here I go..."

Using Materialization Magic, an old fashioned guitar appeared in his hands, and he began to play.

(You thought it'd be the Campfire Song from SpongeBob, didn't you? But I'm THAT childish, I watch shows for people over 10 brain cells! Like Rick and Morty!) (Obvious joke is obvious.)

(After the Song)

(Star)"Oooh, that. Was. Amazing! You have a really good singing voice, Caram!"

(Caram)"Really? This is actually the first time I've ever sung before."

(William)"Yeah...it's, really good."

(Caram)"Are you okay, Fen? You seem to be deep in thought."

(William)"Huh? Yeah! I'm just...really tired for some reason."

The lizard Oozai looked up at the purple sky, the creepy looking moon seemingly watching over them like a crazed God.

(Caram)"It's getting pretty late, we should call it a night."

(William)"Yeah, I think I need some sleep..."

He indeed was feeling tired, but William was also feeling a little disappointed that his plan didn't work. His catch wasn't as great as the others, and that sound may have given Star the wrong idea. But, he won't give up from a single failure, William, or Fen if you want to call him that, was determined to prove himself in some way, yet he didn't know what.

(Later that Night: William's Dream)

The young man wandered around an endless void of black, his footsteps rippled like rain puddles. This  gave him a feeling of dread, thinking that something, or someone, was constantly right behind him, breathing on his neck. Hesitantly, he called out his friends names, then his family's names, but as he expected, nobody came.

(William)"Ugh...I feel even worse. My head's splitting, my knees are weak, arm's heavy, what's happening with me...?"

(???)"You're going mad..."

(William)"Huh?! Wh-Who said that? Who's there!?"

(???)"I'm right here. Can't you see?"

He turned around, but no one was there, nothing but darkness. Then, something frightening happened. Large and small vector arrows emerged from the ground all over the place, shooting off into the nothingness above. Black chains came from the sky, reaching into the ground, lifting a figure with pink skin and dark hair.

(???)"You have a special power, child. A power that could control the entire world... Why, you could kill everyone who's sent after you with little effort."

(William)"Wha- N-No! I won't kill anyone! Not even a mercenary!"

(???)"You say that, but what will happen when you meet a heartless killer?"

(William)"I-I..."

(???)"You'll die, then you'll die, then. Then. You'll. DIE. Until you tire of trying. Then what will happen? WILL YOU KILL OUT OF FUSTRATION??"

(William)"I'm not going to kill, ANYONE."

He wanted to sound brave, but the aura this person gave off, it made him forgot his previous uneasiness of the area.

(???)"That's what I once believed in, little gorgon... But I know what's going to happen, you'll slip up. Something will truly push you over the edge, and you'll be a cursed soul forever. Just like the rest of us!"

(William)"Sh-Shut up! Get out of here, get out of my head!"

(???)"Hehehehehe...hahaha, HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!"

Without warning, more chains appeared and wrapped around William, nearly crushing him to death. The man's face was visible, but not what he expected. It was a large "X", with the same shape as his pupils, still laughing like a maniac.

"Fen! Fen! FEN!!!"

The boy woke up, back at the campsite. Caram was shaking him like crazy.

(William)"H-Huh?? What's going on?"

(Caram)"It's Star! She's gone!"

(William)"WHAT!?"

He ran out of his tent, and immediately noticed the ruined one the Mewman was sleeping in. All that was left was her wand, and one of her dragon boots.

(Caram)"I just woke up and saw her tent all ripped up! But there's no sign of anyone else here!"

(William)"How?? My life sensing ability should have detected a strong amount of li- Wait a second, I know who was here! Orkiindah!"

(Caram)"Orkiindah, the necromancer? How?"

(William)"I heard that he sold his soul for power, no soul means no Life Energy, meaning that pink Oozai can't detect him! Even when he's right under our noses."

(Caram)"I guess that explains it, but what are we gonna do?"

William grabbed the boot, and with a surge of green energy, it transformed into a snake.

(William)"There we go!"

(Caram)"How's a snake going to help find Star? She could be dead for all we know!"

(William)"Wrong, look at snake. See how it's going west, instead of attacking us? Any possession, like a clothing item a person had that's given life will impulsively desire to return to them. The fact it's even moving means Star's okay!"

(Caram)"Huh, they don't teach you that in school."

(William)"There's only about 5% of pink Oozai in the overall population, so there's not a whole lot they could learn anyway."

In an instant, the snake picked up speed.

(William)"It's on her trail!"

The boys followed it throughout the many twist and turns of the forest, and eventually found Star sitting on a clobbered Orkiindah, save and sound.

(William)"There you are! Thank God nothing worse happened!"

(Caram)"If you beat this guy, why didn't you just come back to camp?"

(Star)"I tried, but I got lost and just decided to stay put, hehe!"

(William)"Oh....well, here's your shoe."

The snake coiled into its original shape, and was back to a normal boot.

(Caram)"Wow. I'm genuinely surprised you were able to defeat an Oozai as powerful as this guy, let alone hold your own without that magic stick of yours."

(Star)"Hm? Oh yeah, I wasn't really thinking about that. Where is it?"

(Caram)"We forgot to bring it, but I don't think he'll be a problem for now-"

The necromancer sprung back to his feet, bruises on his face.

(Orkiindah)"Aha! I'm still alive!"

(Caram)"Nevermind..."

(Orkiindah)"That Mewman brat thought she could beat me to death, but it's impossible! You can pummel me with your fist, slash me with a sword, shoot me with a gun! Nothing will kill me anymore, not even Zai himself!"

(Caram)"But you can still get your ass kicked, heh!"

(Orkiindah)"Sh-Shut up! That was just a miscalculation, I had no idea that Butterfly could fight without her wand! But now that I've regained composure, you'll have no chance against this guy! Sil Vokrii Daal!"

A large stone coffin emerged from the ground, and began to shake.

(Orkiindah)"Now, witness the awesome power! This is the Oozai Knight of great renown! He worked with the famous Nebula Knight to defeat a worldwide threat hundreds of years ago! Behold....Zote the Mighty!!!!!"
