(Duin)"You've grown so much since the last time we met, I'm truly impressed. But, I am also furious that you, and your little friends ruined my plan! Years...300 years of planning, crushed into pieces!"

(William)"Krosis, nuz Zu'u dreh ni really ulaak!"

(Duin)"Of course you wouldn't! You haven't experienced the death of your lover yet! Hasn't the thought crossed your mind? As an Oozai, you will out live her! You'll be kneeling over her deathbed, and watch her soul shatter! Then, you'll be just like me, trying to bring her back..."

(William)".....Tol los ni vahzah. Unlike hi, ko dreh ni hind wah kropah voth lunduv ro! Geh, Zu'u mindok tol Fil fen dir us zey, nuz Zu'u lost lingrah ruzun vorohah drem voth tol!"

(Duin)"You say that now, but give it 60 years. Unfortunately for you, that's not going to happen, because you're life ends today! Enough talking, now prepare yourself!"

Duin summoned his scythe, and brandished his staff, while William stood as still as a statue.

(Duin)"Not going to move? Then I'll make the first attack!"

He lunged over, and swung his scythe downwards. William seemingly slid to the left, without moving a muscle.

(William)"Hehe, did you really think I'd just take that hit?"

(Duin)"Oh? You can still speak English?"

(William)"I can now. Getting this new power sorta messed with my head, but it's all good now."

Duin promptly sliced the boy in four, only for him to reattach himself.

(William)"I still don't know why I can do that. Maybe has something to do with my Human side."

For the next few minutes, Duin used all sorts of spike and Cannon patterns to try and kill William, who effortlessly dodged each one. But, for some reason, he never did try to hit his attacker, no matter how many openings he found.

(Duin)"Why do you not fight back? Surely you must be angry for all those I have hurt. You couldn't possibly be tired at a point like this."

(William)"What can I say? I'm just not feeling it anymore."

(Duin)"Well then, maybe I should give you a reason to hate me. I feel a story is in order."

While he told his story, he often threw some sort of magic attack, only for it to be avoided.

(Duin)"As you undoubtedly know by now, I am after the treasure of us Oozai, the Heart. Now, before I started the Battle of Heartbreak, I experimented a the substance known as Determination."

(Duin)"I thought that if I had enough of it myself, I could go back in time, and find out what...her, sickness was, and cure it. So, with the help of the scientist and Generals that left with me, I had them be injected with the substance."

(Duin)"At first, nothing happened. They couldn't control anything related with time, but they were stronger. Then, they melted, and almost all of them became mindless monsters. I never cared about what happened to them. They could've all died then and there, and I wouldn't even bat my eye."

(William)"..."

(Duin)"Not enough to spark your anger? How about this?"

(Duin)"The Heart of Oozai is known for creating our realm. With that, there was a large amount of negative energy afterwards that created a plethora of creatures, big and small."

(Duin)"Some were inherently evil, but others learned how to be good. I enslaved hundreds of them, not caring about what they felt. I didn't care about the families I stole from. I forced them to kill and torture innocent people. And during the war, when Zoozai ended it with one attack, I remember how terrified they were."

(Duin)"Before he showed up, they were devoid of any fear. They laughed at any injury they received, even when they were dying. But with just an Oozai Cannon the size if a mountain staring you the face...you can break character rather easily."

(William)"..."

(Duin)"Still? Let's see..."

(Duin)"You know Bazzral, and my three Head Generals? They used to be normal Oozai, but in their lives, strange events made them into what they are. I exploited their power for my own gain, yet they still respect me. They don't know that at any moment, I would have them die to save my own life."

(Duin)"Bazzral, for example, is unnaturally obedient to me. He thinks that he his the best in my army, but with his power to divide, he unknowingly weakens himself. As for my Head Generals, they were willing to stay on this ship, while it's crashing, instead of evacuating. All the escape pods must be gone by now, so we may all die together anyway."

(Duin)"How about that? Possess any rage now?"

(William)"...No, not really."

Duin ceased his attacks, and just stared at the boy with confusion.

(Duin)"........What? How? How?! I just told you nearly every sin I have committed! I ruined the minds of hundreds, I permanently deformed those who obey my every will! I tried to make my own son into a killer! I even tried to kill you! How could you possibly not be mad!?!"

(William)"Because, I have forgiven you."

(Duin)"Forgiven?! What the devil are you blabbering about?! How could you possibly forgive me?! I even absorbed the souls of half our race!"

(Omega)"If he could use magic before absorbing all those souls, he would be god-like, but since he couldn't, it was like pouring sand into a deep pit. You can only use what you can reach."

(William)"If I was mad I would have killed you as soon as I entered this room. I don't want to kill you, you're my uncle."

(Duin)"?!! D-Don't say that! I'm not a part of that family anymore, I am Duin!"

But he knew that wasn't true. He tried for so long to forget his past. He destroyed the Temple of Predictions, wiped out his name from all history books, but he still had one thing that reminded him. His brother.

For hundreds of years, although he never showed it, Duin felt a massive amount of dread and sadness. He acted on emotion, and brought sorrow to all those who called him a friend. He would stop if he could, but his soul aches with a twisted form of determination, which forces him to commit more acts of chaos and terror.

But, maybe, just maybe, if he had someone to talk to, he could turn his life around,and be him...to be Koozai, once again.

Filled with courage? No, it's
DETERMINATION!

Duin: Boy, stop this! You won't change my mind! It's pointless, your guidance is blind! I have made my choice long ago, now cease your attempts to alter my soul!

Duin: Try your best, but I won't give in! I won't stop, not until I win!

William: I don't believe you want to fight. Deep inside you want to do what's right.

Despite his protest, Duin began to have second thoughts about this plan of his, and the reality of what he's done was finally sinking in.

Duin: I’m just a broken shell of what I was...a coward hiding from the truth...

He created several copies of himself, trying to blast William with an Oozai Cannon. As the boy ran across the room, Duin fired small crystals and purple beams from his staff, only for them to be either avoid, or blocked.

Duin: The voices in my head tell me “Run away!” But I must keep going lest, I go astray!

In a burst of rage, Duin wemt into his true form, and tried his hardest to land a hit of any kind.

Duin: I don't have a choice, there's no other way! I have planned this out every single day! There's no running now, nothing you can say! So save your energy!

William: There's much inside of you I can sense. Head hung low in shame, shoulders taut and tense. Is it misery? A lack of recompense? Such inner controversy...

Duin: It is both I face, when I was forlorn at the very death of the one I adored. In my time of grief, I picked up the sword.

Duin: I DON'T DESERVE YOUR MERCY!

William: Though you deny, and try to end my life, I still refuse to fight. Because I chose to do what I feel is right. And right now, I do not want to fight! All I want...is to bring back your light!

Duin stopped fighting and just listened.

William: Tell me now, Koozai, is it true that you are fed up and done? All of this happened just because you miss your wife and your son. Taking out all this rage won't make you happy or strong. It's time to let go of this burden that you've carried so long.

Duin: Even though I have spilled the blood of so many innocents, I must confess...in reality I feel like such a traitor to a kingdom who thought I was harmless!

William: I can see that what you've done will always haught you. You have truly been through such a hard test, but I know you can still be forgiven! So just lay down your arms, cause I mean you no harm, you've been grieving alone. I just want to bring you back home!

Duin: Please, God, forgive me for these sins that I committed!!!

And with that, he reverted, dropped to his knees, and began to weep.

(Duin)"I-I just...wanted to...see her alive...I am so sorry..."

He fleet William's hand on his shoulder. When he looked up at him, he was back in his Human form.

(William)"It's ok, everything's going to be alright now..."

(Duin)"Why? Why do you refuse to kill this miserable creature before you?"

(William)"Listen, I know how you feel. I would be heartbroken to see someone I loved die, and know I couldn't do anything about it. But like I said earlier, you can't interfere with the natural balance. Besides, the Heart can revive those who die of sickness."

(Duin)"...That's exactly what Zoozai told me, but I wouldn't listen. I let my obsession with Spades get way out of hand, and now look at me! I'm a murderer...and I just feel so empty, even more than before."

(William)"Speaking of Zoozai, where is he?"

(Duin)"Up there."

He pointed at the ceiling, which a cage held the crystalized Zoozai.

(William)"Oh! How did I miss that? Anyway, Koozai, I want to know that Spades isn't entirely gone. She still lives in Caram, isn't that enough?"

(Duin)".....I, I never thought of it like that. William, thank you, fir still believing in me. On this day fourth, I will spend the rest of my days helping those I have wronged so many times. And..."

(Koozai)"It'll be done by Koozai."

(William)"That's good, now let's get the hell off this shi-"

(???)"YOU!"

The two spun their heads to the door, and saw a damaged Mecha-William, looking absolutely livid.

(Koozai)"Mecha! It's over now, you no longer have to fight William!"

(Mecha-William)"No...! He must die! I will eradicate you!"

He fired an energy beam directly at the floor, causing the helm to explode. They all fell into the Cargo Hold...what's of it, anyway.

(William)"I can't transform again, we gotta get out of here!"

(Koozai)"There's a hole in the far end! We can take one of these smaller ships!"

They got into the nearest one, and began to drive towards the hole William made earlier.

(Mecha-William)"You're not getting away!"

They could see Mecha flying towards them, firing energy beams.

(Koozai)"Damn! He's persistent! We're not going anywhere with him on our tail!"

To make matters worse, flaming debris and machinery were falling from the ceiling. They used the ships cannons to try and shake off their mechanized pursuer.

(William)"Don't you have an off switch or something on him?!"

(Koozai)"No! I was so dead set of killing you, I forgot to put a deactivation device on Mecha!"

(William)"And I thought you had everything planned out! Let's try this then!"

He took control of the side cannons, and blasted the ceiling near the hole.

(Mecha-William)"Time to say goodby-!"

A metal pipe fell onto his neck, pinning him to the ground, as Koozai and William fled Dii Ropentaar.
