Toffee: It's over...with my new...Oozai soul...now I'm whole!

Toffee sent a barrage of daggers at Caram, who was too slow to dodge. They tore through him like paper, cutting off his left arm, right leg, and his head spikes.

Toffee: I'll end you! It's time to end this game! SQUIRM IN PAIN! I control! I am whole!

He summoned dozens of floating daggers, which Caram had to jump around as to not get slashed by them.

Toffee: I will destroy you! Shatter your world view! Crush those pathetic dreams! 'Cause I am smarter, you're just a martyr! Now let me hear you scream!

Then, for some unknown reason, he froze in place. The daggers dissipated, which gave Caram the time needed to regenerate. Caram also felt something change, in his soul. It looked like it was a bit more than half.

???: Don't give in just yet, he's not really a threat, he's just a puny lizard! The fight will be done soon, don't be afraid, friend! You just have to stay determined!

At that moment, Toffee unfroze, and continued his attack by throwing bent knives. They would fly right past Caram, then come back to stab him as he dodged another.

Toffee: Why are you still fighting? Don't you know I've won?! Stand up once again, but I've only just begun! I'll restore anything, heal any injury! So come at me, waste your time, fall before my entropy!

Toffee: I'll rule this world, and I'll be their new God! Something about you makes me want to laugh!

He summoned two of his Oozai Cannons, and blew half of Caram's face off.

Toffee: Hello there, kiddo. Welcome to my world! SAY, DO YOU NEED A FRIEND? Just give me your soul, just pay me my toll! Or else you'll meet your end!

In a fit of laughter, he froze up again, as too the knives. Caram felt his soul change again. It was now only missing the left corner piece.

???: He's getting weaker, losing his firm grip, I'll try to overpower him! Just do what's right here, you'll soon persevere! You have to stay determined!

He unfroze, just like before, then the young man was bombarded with swords that fell from the sky, and erupted from the ground.

Toffee: YOU WON'T WIN! DEEP WITHIN! I FEEL GLEE! I AM FREE! ALL AROUND, MY PLAYGROUND! I AM ALL, YOU WILL FALL!

Toffee: FALL STRAIGHT DOWN, TO THE GROUND! SHE'S NOT HERE, CAN'T HELP HERE! SO THIS TIME, YOU ARE MINE! NO ONE HERE TO RESCUE YOU NOW!!!

He then threw Caram around like a ragdoll, giving him bruises and broken bones. Caram summoned his spear, and cut Toffee's arms off, only for them to regrow in seconds.

Toffee: Though you can fight back, I can still attack! I still have all this POWER! You're just foolish, stop trying to resist while I maim you a hundred more times!

This time, he was knocked back by a strange, solid purple figure in armor. Caram's wounds healed without his influence, and when he looked at his soul, it was whole...

Caram...was whole...but most importantly...

Determined

???: The final section, strengthens our connection, now I'll repay with protection! You can show him kindness, but first some justice! You have to stay determined!

Caram took the figure's hand, and he enveloped the Oozai-Septarian in a purple cocoon.

Toffee: No! Stop this! It's not fair! I worked hard to get here! All the lives I ended! Sacrifices I've made...!

Toffee punched and stabbed the cocoon, to no avail. And after a few seconds, the cocoon bursted in a blinding light.

(???)"...So, this is it?"

From the remains of the cocoon, there he was. Caram was now in the air, and looked quite different from before.
