An hour later, Star quickly became the life of the party. The Oozai were impressed by her dance moves, because although they were good at magic, they were terrible at dancing. While William was watching her, he felt someone tap his shoulder. He turned to see one of his friends, Dan.

(Omega)"His left leg is f*cked up!"

Dan was a member of the Deku, a race of sentient plant creatures native to The Nightmare Realm.

(Omega)"Yes. I'm doing that!"

(William)"Dan, you were invited too?"

(Dan)"Hey man, you know that your Pops wouldn't throw a party without me!"

Dan was a,"unique", individual. He had a somewhat lazy lifestyle, but when it came to anything like a party, he would go crazy for it. Some people said that he was a hippie, but William didn't know what that is.

They sat down at an empty table with a bottle of some blue beverage, and two cups.

(William)"So, Dan, how have things been going?"

(Dan)"Oh, they've been alright, I had to break up with my old lady a couple days ago."

(William)"Really? What happened, you two seemed to be so happy."

(Dan)"Man, she was crazy! One night, I woke up and saw her with a flamethrower! She nearly burnt the bark off me!"

He turned his head to show William a burn mark on his left temple.

(William)"Whoa! Where is she now?"

(Dan)"I called the cops on her, and now she's serving 20 years in prison for attempted murder of an allie of the Oozai!"

(William)"That's crazy, anything else?"

(Dan)"Nothing really, what about you? I saw that you brought a Mewman to the party with you, an energetic one at that."

(William)"Hehe, yeah, she is..."

(Dan)"Waaaait a minute, do you, have a crush on her?"

(William)"Wh-What?!"

His eyes went pink again, and that was a dead giveaway.

(Dan)"You do! Why haven't you asked her out yet?!"

(William)"I-I just haven't! I-"

He realized that he just admitted that he was planning on it. He tried to blurt out a lie, but Dan stopped him.

(Dan)"Listen, it's all good if you don't know what how, it happens to everyone."

(William)"Dude, you've dated at least 29 girls."

(Dan)"Well, it's 30 now, but hey, I'm not a good example! Just know, tha-"

He saw something behind William.

(Dan)"Uh, William? I think that girl is blitzed over there!"

(William)"What?!"

He turned around and saw Star stumbling around, and speaking incoherently. She stumbled to the table, and sat down next to William.

(Star)"Heyyy! How's it going, guys?"

(William)"Star, are you okay?"

(Star)"O-Of course I'm okay! Why wouldn't I be? I should be asking you, you're talking to a tree!"

(Dan)"...I look like a tree? What kind of tree, a palm tree?"

(William)"Did you, drink anything?"

(Star)"Uhhhh...yeah! I drank, wh-whatever this blue stuff is."

She tapped the bottle on the table.

(William)"Star, that's Blue Sugar, an alcoholic drink!"

Blue Sugar is a special alcoholic drink created from sugar cane from The Nightmare Realm, and the juice of a special fruit from said dimension. It taste sweet, but unless you are an Oozai, drinking it will almost instantly intoxicate anyone.

(Star)"Then why are you drinking it, too?"

(William)"The legal age of drinking for an Oozai is 14, and it doesn't really affect us unless we drink gallons of it. But that's not the point! You're drunk!"

The Mewman made an over-exaggerated gasp.

(Star)"I am not drunk!"

(William)"Yes you are."

(Star)"I-I will tell you one thing, I am NOT drunk!"

(William)"Oh really?"

(Star)"Yes!"

(William)"Can you tell the time then?"

He pointed to the clock above them. It was 11:30 p.m.

(Star)"O-Okay, I will!"

She stood up on the table, and pointed at the clock.

(Star)"I am not drunk!"

(Dan)"Heh, you tell him, girl!"

Dan was also drunk.

(Star)"Thanks, tree man!"

(William)"...Star, sit down before you hurt yourself."

(Star)"I won't hurt mysellll-"

She almost slid off the table, but both William and Dan caught her.

(William)"Dan, watch her, I have to go do something."

(Dan)"Sure."

He got up from his seat, and made his way to a table where Zoozai and Zacharie were talking.

(Zoozai)"Son? Where's your friend?"

(William)"She with Dan right now, she drank too much Blue Sugar."

(Zacharie)"Hehehe, I wonder how that happened..."

Flashback 10 Minutes Ago

While Star was dancing, Zacharie approached her with a cup.

(Zacharie)"Hey, Mewman, you thirsty?"

(Star)"A little bit."

(Zacharie)"Here, try this."

He gave her the cup.

(Star)"What is it?"

(Zacharie)"Blue Sugar."

(Star)"Sugar?!"

She drank the entire cup, and started to feel strange.

(Zacharie)"Do you like it?"

(Star)"It's great, this taste just like sugar!"

(Zacharie)"Have four more!"

He gave her more Blue Sugar.

Flashback End

(Zacharie)"She must've thought it was some soda or something."

William sat down next to Zoozai

(Zoozai)"Is something wrong? You seem thoughtful."

(William)"Dad, can I ask you something about...love?"

(Zacharie)"Love? Aren't you already dating that Mewman?"

(William)"Zach, I'm serious. Stop doing that."

(Zoozai)"What do you need to know about love?"

(William)"Well, I've known Star for a week now, and..."

(Zoozai)"You, want to ask her to date you?"

(William)"Yeah. I mean, she's so nice, wacky, and...and p-pretty. Every time she's around, I can't help but think about her, and nothing else."

(Zoozai)"Hehe, that's exactly how you felt when I met your mother."

(William)"Really?"

(Zoozai)"Yep. When I first laid...eye, on her, I didn't know what to do. She was the most beautiful woman I have ever seen. I was so nervous, I didn't even want to let her see me. But one day, I finally found the courage to ask her, and she said yes."

(William)"Even though you looked nothing like a human?"

(Zoozai)"Exactly. So just know this, son. If you want to tell her your true feelings, simply set your fears aside."

(William)"Thanks, dad, I'll do tha-"

An explosion was heard from the far wall of the castle. The three of them then saw an Oozai enter the room from the hole. He was lavender, had a gap in his teeth, wore a black outfit with 11 white circles, and his fingers were connected, aside from his thumbs.

(Bazzral)"Hello, lowlye worms! Bazzral makes his glamorous return! I'll be taking the Heart now!"

(Zoozai)"Bazzal! We both know that I won't let you take the Heart we've been looking for so long!"

(Zacharie)"Stand back, father, me and William will handle him."

(Zoozai)"If you insist."

William and Zacharie's eyes began to glow red.

(Zacharie)"Heh, I've been waiting to show off what I got!"

He pointed to the ceiling, and a white, floating head that reassembled his materialized.

William did the same, but his didn't really look like him.

(Bazzral)"Look and squirm, for my ability will make your stomachs churn!"

10 of the circles on his clothes came off, and transformed into a copy of himself. Their eyes became a dark shade of purple, and all created a white head.

What this is, is an Oozai Cannon.

(Omega)"Sound familiar?"

They fire raw magic in the form of beams, but they drain energy fast. Oozai can have powerful magic, but they don't have infinite magic in their bodies.

(Bazzrals)"Have at you!"

They fired their Oozai Cannons at the brothers, who swiftly dodged, and fired their own, hitting two.

(Zacharie)"Brother, I've fought him once before! We have to destroy all of his copies!"

Zacharie and William shaped their magic into long, sharp spikes, and threw them at the Bazzrals. They hit two, and they turned back into circles, then returning to Bazzral's shirt.

(Bazzrals)"You think I'll be beaten so easily?!"

The Bazzrals arm's became silver, and one of them slashed at Zacharie, making a small crack on his torso.

(Bazzrals)"These arms are stronger than any armor!"

(Omega)"Does that sound familiar too?"

Both Zacharie and William used telekinesis to life three Bazzrals off the ground, and impaled them on a magic spike.

(William)"Hehe, anyone up for a Bazzal kabob?"

(Bazzrals)"Oh, that's just a tasteless joke!"

He fired his Oozai Cannon at William, who couldn't completely dodge it, and his leg was burned. The remaining five surrounded him, and just as they were about to attack, he impaled them with spikes that emerged from the ground.

(William)"That was 10, where'd the real Bazzral go?"

(Bazzral)"Over here, worm!"

As he turned to where he heard Bazzral's voice, he was horrified to see that Bazzral had knocked out Dan, and was holding Star by the shirt. When William limped towards him, Bazzral held a magic spike, and pointed it at Star's neck.

(Bazzral)"If you value this Mewman's life, don't take another step! Now, if you don't want to see her die, hand over the Heart of the Oozai!"

(William)"..."

(Bazzral)"Hehehe, by that expression you're making, it seems like this girl means something to you. WAIT! Don't tell me! You, love her, don't you?"

(William)"...You know what? Yes, yes I do! You got a problem with that?!"

(Bazzral)"No, it just means I have a better hostage! I've always wanted to do this, like a romantic action movie!"

Star, who didn't know what was going on, began to speak.

(Star)"Heyyy, what's happening?"

(Bazzral)"I'm using you as a hostage! That hybrid over there just admitted that he's madly in love with you!"

(William)"I'M GONNA KILL YOU!!!"

(Star)"Wait...a hostage? You're, a bad guy then, right?"

(Bazzral)"I guess you could say that."

(Star)"Then I gotta fight you!"

She put her wand directly in front of his face.

(Bazzral)"Huh?"

(Star)"Rainbow Fist Punch!"

A multi colored hand punched him where his nose would be, and he was knocked into a wall.

(Bazzral)"You may have one this time, worms! But just know, that Duin WILL have the Heart of the Oozai!"

He disappeared. Zoozai's tendrils began to glow green, and once they made contact with William and Zacharie, their damages were undone.

(Zoozai)"You both did well, my children. Bazzral wasn't the strongest of Duin's minions, but he was a dangerous opponent."

(Zacharie)"You got that right, he completely wrecked our party!"

He spun around to look at the damage caused by their fight.

(William)"Well, it's getting late, I better get Star back home."

(Zacharie)"Looks like she passed out."

William picked up the sleeping Mewman, and Zacharie used his scissors to create a portal back to William's house. When they walked through, William put Star on the couch.

(Zacharie)"Hey, listen, I'm sorry for teasing you about her being your girlfriend."

(William)"Don't worry about it, that's what siblings do sometimes. But...maybe I will."

(Zacharie)"Wait. You saying that you are g-"

(William)"Yep, I'm gonna ask her tomorrow."

(Zacharie)"...That's the bro I know!"

He ruffled William's hair.

(Zacharie)"Don't you dare chicken out on this, I'll know if you do!"

Zacharie snapped his fingers while walking backwards into the portal, and it closed.

(William)"Heh. Don't worry, I won't..."

William sat on the couch, and fell asleep.

2:04 a.m.

(Star)"Argh, what happened?"

(William)"You partied too hard, and passed out."

(Star)"I did? I don't remember what happened."

(William)"Yeah, everyone was impressed by your dance moves. One guy even tried to stop you from dancing better than him."

(Star)"Hahaha! I didn't know I was that go-ow!"

She started to rub her forehead.

(William)"What's wrong?"

(Star)"My head's killing me..."

(William)"She's having a hangover..."

(William)"Here, I can fix that."

He placed both hands on the sides of Star's head, and his hands and eyes began to glow green.

(Star)"What are you doing?"

(William)"I'm using healing magic. Is the headache going away?"

(Star)"Uh, yeah. A little bit."

(William)"Good, I don't like to see you in pain."

(Star)"Thanks, I'm...feeling better already..."

He didn't know how he did it, but William had also fallen asleep while using healing magic. It would be too early, but William made a promise to his brother, and to himself. He knew that when the sun comes up, he will reveal to Star how he truly feels, and destiny will decide what comes next.
