When William awoke, he immediately noticed that he wasn't in his bed. He was in a chair, in some clear box.

(William)"Um...hello?"

(???)"Hello, child."

The unknown voice sent chills up the boys spine. He could now see that that lizard monster from a few days ago was in front of him without the black part of his suit, and Caram

But the one who was talking was the dark blue Oozai next to him. He gave off an aura similar to what others said about Zoozai, that they wanted to get as far away as possible. He soon realized that this Oozai was the one that sent the others, this was Duin.

(William)"D-Duin? What th-th-the heck am I doing here?! How did I get here?!"

(Duin)"I captured you last night, and I'm resorted to Plan C. I'm going to use you to bring Star Butterfly here, and I'll take her wand. Then, I will take the Heart from your Father, and get everything I so rightfully deserve."

(William)"Well, j-just forget about it! I can use an Oozai Cannon, and bla-"

(Duin)"Don't bother, I've put a special barrier on this cube that stops you from using any form of magic. So just be patient, and wait for your partner to get here."

He went to some other room, and Toffee put a sandwich in the cube.

(Toffee)"Eat something. Could be your last meal."

(William)"Is it poisoned?"

(Toffee)"No."

(William)"...Ok."

He started to eat the sandwich, keeping his eyes on the Septarian.

(Toffee)"Caram, watch him for me."

(Caram)"As you wish, Father."

Toffee then left the room, at which Caram summoned his spear, and put a chair in front of the cube.

(William)"What's with the spear? Not like you'll need it in my situation."

(Caram)"It just feels necessary."

(William)"...You know, you look like you're as old as me, but you definitely don't act like a teen at all, why is that?"

(Caram)"..."

(William)"Well? You gonna tell me?"

(Caram)"...Well, I wasn't treated badly as a child or anything. I was just, never treated like a child at all, not after I turned 5. I was given combat training when I was 6. Father knew how to fight really well."

(William)"Which one?"

(Caram)"Toffee. He trained me in physical combat, and Duin taught me how to use magic attacks."

(William)"Speaking of your Fathers, do they love you?"

(Caram)"...I'd like to believe they do. They never show it."

(William)"What about your mother? You mentioned her the first time we met. Where is she?"

(Caram)"In here."

He showed his half-soul.

(William)"Wait...so, you're saying that, your soul, is your mother's?"

(Caram)"Yes."

(William)"How's that even possible? Souls don't just go into other people."

(Caram)"......That's because I wasn't born the normal way."

(William)"What do you mean?"

(Caram)"Duin has a scientist, who experiments with biology, genetically altering, and even creating Oozai. So, Duin had the scientist use Toffee's DNA, and his DNA to create me. But those created that way are soulless."

(William)"And Duin used that soul on you?"

(Caram)"Yes."

They remained silent for a few minutes.

(William)"Hey, what's it like to have someone else's soul?"

(Caram)"Well, sometimes when I'm alone, or when I sleep, I can hear her speak to me."

(William)"You can, hear her? What does she talk about?"

(Caram)"About Father, Duin I mean. She keeps reassuring me that he wasn't always evil. She tells me that we don't need to do what we're doing to be happy again."

(William)"Happy again?"

(Caram)"When she died, Duin was too scared to lose her, so he took what was left of her soul. He's been spending all these years to get the Heart of the Oozai, so that he can use its power to bring her back to life."

(William)"Why didn't he just put her soul back in her body?"

(Caram)"She would just die again. Her body had some sickness they couldn't cure."

(William)"So let's get this straight. Duin's doing all this, just so he can revive his wife?"

(Caram)"Yes?"

(William)"But, when her soul returns to her body...won't you die?"

Caram's straight face turned into one of sudden realization. If Duin succeeds, he won't be needed anymore. He wasn't created because Duin wanted a child, he just made him to keep the soul safe.

(Caram)"I-I don't know what to think about this! I hadn't thought about it like that. He...he won't need me anymore once he gets the Heart..."

(William)"And the key for it is headed here right now."

(Caram)"Wh-What am I going to do?!"

(William)"You could get me out of here."

(Duin)"That's your big plan?"

Duin and Toffee appeared behind Caram, and his eyes flared a deep purple.

(Caram)"U-Uh, F-Father!"

(Duin)"So you figured out what will happen when I get the Heart."

(Caram)"N-Now wait just a minute, Father! Let's think about this! This isn't a good idea anymore! W-W-We could find a different way to bring her back to life! You know...without me dying?"

(Duin)"There is no other way."

(Caram)"B-But...! Is this really what you want? Is this what she would want?"

He started to back into the cube.

(Duin)"How would you know what she wants?"

(Caram)"She wouldn't want me to die!"

(Duin)"But this was inevitable. You should have seen this from the start."

His blue soul appeared, and it created, and solid blue scythe.

(Duin)"What are you going to do about it?"

(Caram)"I-I'll stop you!"

He pointed his spear to Duin's face, shakily.

(Duin)"And how do you plan on that?"

(Caram)"I...I...I don't know."

He then lowered it, looking defeated.

(Duin)"That's what I tho-"

The door flew off its hinges, revealing Star, Ludo, and Buff Frog.

(William)"Star!"

(Duin)"Hello, Butterfly. It looks like you've already taken care of my men back there."

In the other room, there was a pile of unconscious monsters.

(Star)"Let him go!"

(Duin)"I will, if you give me that wand."

(Star)"That's not gonna happen. I'll just blast him out!"

She fired a magic beam at the box, but it disappeared on contact.

(Toffee)"That won't work, Duin made sure of it."

(Star)"Then I'll just have to beat the tar outta you!"

She ran towards the Oozai.

(Ludo)"Wait! You don't know how powerful Duin is! He's merciless, he's not afraid to kill you!"

She didn't listen, as she leaped into the air, but noticed she stopped moving.

(Duin)"You should've listened..."

He threw her into a wall. Trying to get back on her feet, the young Mewman was then flung to the ceiling, then the other wall, then through the table, breaking it in half.

(William)"Stop! Stop it, you're killing her!"

(Duin)"Oh please, why should I care?"

(Caram)"Father, that's enough!"

He tried to attack, but in one swift motion, Duin sliced both his arms off.

(Duin)"Stay out of this, boy!"

Star, now covered in chips of wood, got up holding her right arm that got cut from hitting the table.

(Duin)"Now that you've seen what I'm capable of, you should know what to do next. Give me the wand."

(Star)"......Fine. Here, just take it."

She held the wand by the top, and pointed the handle at Duin, who slowly stretched out his arm.

(Duin)"Finally...now I ca-"

(Toffee)"Wait, do you hear something?"

(???)"aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!"

Imor crashed through the wall, fired an arrow at Toffee,  severing his left arm.

(Imor)"Where's William!?!"

(Duin)"Imor? How'd you know where to find him?"

(Zacharie)"Star called us when she noticed that William wasn't around."

Zacharie, and Dan entered the room.

(Zacharie)"Did you really think she would fight an Oozai by herself?"

To make matters worse, the top of the castle was ripped off, showing a furious Zoozai.

(Zoozai)"Hi lost nusaan ahk gut, Duin..."

(Duin)"This isn't good! I need to get out of here!"

(Duin)"Give me the wand!"

He tried to get the wand, but Star tightened her grip.

(Star)"No!"

(Duin)"I said give it!"

(Star)"And I said no!"

Duin's eye became black, and his iris started to glow blue.

(Duin)"GIVE ME THE DAMN WAND, YOU BLONDE WHORE!!!"

At that moment, they heard a snap, and they fell on their backs. When they got up, they looked into their hands, and what they saw shocked them.

The wand was split in two. Star had the top part, and Duin had the handle.

(Star)"Wh-What did you do?!"

(Duin)"What did I do? What did YOU do?!"

(Star)"You broke the wand!"

(Duin)"You didn't let go-"

Suddenly, the handle started to change shape. It elongated into a staff, the wings became white horns, and the broken top became a dark blue orb with an empty, heart-shaped hole.

(Omega)"If you don't know, the wand changes depending on who's holding it."

(Duin)"What the...I don't sense any magical energy."

(Star)"What just happened...?"

(Duin)"But I'll have to work with it. Toffee! Let's get the hell out of here!"

Toffee placed his hand on Duin's shoulder, and the Oozai created a dark purple portal beneath them.

As they sank into the abyss, Caram spoke to Toffee.

(Caram)"Father, please tell me, tell me that you care about what happens to me, just a little..."

Toffee said nothing, but gave him a smirk that shattered all of Caram's hope, as the portal closed.

(Caram)"Father..."

Imor used a large stone to smash the cube, and William got out before it repaired itself.

(William)"Star! You okay?"

(Star)"Y-Yeah, I just got cut a little."

(William)"Here, let me heal you."

He put his hands on her arm, and the cuts started to disappear.

(Zoozai)"I'm terribly sorry, child. I apologize for not arriving sooner."

(Dan)"Hey, does that wand still work? The handle kinda, popped off."

(Star)"Uh...let's see."

She held the broken wand up, and she made a small rainbow that almost immediately burst into flames.

(Star)"......It's fine!"

(Zacharie)"Duin has the handle, but he said there was no energy coming from it."

(Zoozai)"But that doesn't mean that he won't find a way to get it working. We have to find where he's hiding, and get that wand piece back as soon as possible!"

(Ludo)"Hey, if the wand piece can't be reattached, can I keep it?"

(Everyone)"..."

Imor picked up the kappa by the head, and threw him many miles away.
