In the Aquatic Kingdom, 2 more days have passed. No attacks and no suspicious people lurking around. Since the submarine/ship was finished 2 days ago, Sapphire was free to hang out with the pups. When the pups were playing on their own, or sleeping, Sapphire would make plans for her Rescue team.

"Hm, I still can't decide on which name... Rescue Patrol? Rescue Team? Dog-some? The 3 paws? Never Mind" she sighed, "I'll choose the name later. I could assign the jobs first. Chase is definitely the Police and Spy, Blaze will be the Fireman, Thunder will be the Engineer...No, no, no! Chase will also have to be the leader! How will he manage two jobs? I should do something else" she muttered, "Maybe I should design the equipment first. How should they look? If I was a pup I would want all my equipment to be stocked with me, so I can take it everywhere. So...it could be a backpack! Better, a Pup-back!"

She drew a quick sketch of the pup-pack she wanted, "But how would the tools come out? It would take too much time for a puppy to take down their pup-pack and take out the needed equipment! The best would be a voice commander, the tools should be tucked in in the pup-pack. When they shout out the tool, for example, "Arf! Water Cannons!", the Cannons will come out. On the other hand, lots of tools are just too big for a pup to carry or put in a little backpack! I know! I can shrink it or if there is another tool that could also be useful that is almost the same size and shape, I can just add another function or whatever is needed there! Such as Blaze's Cannons can also turn into some kind of...rope shooting out thingy?..."

Just like that, Sapphire passed another 2 days.

On the fifth day at dusk in the Aquatic Kingdom, everyone was having dinner when Chase and the other pups except for Goldie dashed down from the staircases that leads to one of the tallest towers of Coral Castle, Sunrise Tower. That tower was 45 meters above sea level.

"Sapphire, Pant Sapphire! Pant Pant Pant There Pant is a Pant bright thing Pant heading Pant right for the Pant Pant Aquatic Kingdom! Pant I think it might Pant be another Pant Pant dangerous Pant thing coming to Pant Pant destroy us! Pant Pant Pant Pant Pant Pant" Chase gasped while panting hard and draping himself on Sapphire's lap.

Everyone in the room was shocked. " Terrible Trouts!" "Savaging Salmons!" the mer-men and the mermaids screamed, some even fainted.

"We need to take action! Chase, organise everyone and tell them not to panic!" Sapphire remembered that in the explosion of the Magma where Chase has been good at organizing the citizens, "Meanwhile I'll go to the Sunset Tower, to use the telescope there to try to identify what that 'bright thing' is. Everyone else take cover!" Sapphire yelled.

"But Sapphire, what if you get hurt?"

"Don't worry Chase, I'll be fine."

" Huff Huff I wonder what that 'bright thing' could be?"

Sapphire asked herself as he opened Sunset tower's door, took out the telescope and zoomed it in.

"Gasp! It is a meteor!"

Sapphire shouted while racing down the stairs as fast as she could, she got back to the dining room and escaped into a little cupboard in the kitchen. 

Crash! Boom!

Sapphire swore she felt the castle jump a bit. You could feel the vibration of the meteor as it crashed into the Aquatic Kingdom's waters.

Sapphire stepped outside the cupboard and peeked out from a window. She saw the meteor had landed just outside the coral pasture where they kept the domesticated dolphins. It was stuck deep in the sand, and was glowing gold.

"It's okay to come out everyone! The meteor has safely landed in the dolphin pasture!"

Everyone came out with faces painted with fear, looking doubtful out the windows, as they saw that everything was fine they relaxed their bodies.

After everyone calmed down from the shock, Blaze suggested, "Hey Sapphire, can we go outside to check out that meteor? Can we? Can we?"

"Blaze, I would prefer not. That meteor may be dangerous. It could be a distraction or a trap! But it is up to Sapphire and the others to decide."

So Blaze looked up at Sapphire with cute, pleading puppy eyes. (As you see, Blaze has grown fond of Sapphire, he is treating her more like an owner since the Kingdom of Fire's royal family hasn't treated him exactly well.)

Sapphire couldn't resist such adorable eyes, " Oh fine! But you must promise me you'll be careful!" she giggled.

Blaze, Fireball, Lava, Thunder and Bay are already sprinting toward the glowing rock, Chase, however, hesitated.

"Sapphire, do you really think it is safe? Couldn't it be by any chance a trap? Like the one I saved you from?"

"Sigh I am not sure either. I...I am just listening to what Queen Gloria is saying"

"Queen Gloria?!"

"Yes Queen Gloria. She also gave me advice to go on easy with everyone. She also said many other things that make a good leader. Now go join your Pup-pals"

When Chase was gone, Sapphire noticed that Sweetie was missing, "That little pup sure is naughy, but she still deserves some play time, where is she?"

Then she saw the pooch curled up frightened in Princess Grace's arms.

She rolled her eyes, "Scaredy Cat. Or should I say, Scaredy-pup?"

At that moment, her eyes traveled back to the little pack. They were still sprinting, but she noticed that their paws were slowing down. Eventually, they were only making their way hesitant toward the meteor. Sapphire jogged to catch up to the pups.

"Wow!"

"Amazing!"

"Incredible!" they all gasped.

"Why does the meteor have this golden light around it?" Bay asked. Right then, the meteor's glowing started to fade.

"Well, there was a glow" Thunder corrected.

All of a sudden, the meteor began to glow again, but much, much stronger! The bright gold light blinded everyone. The pups surrounding it fell back. When the glowing stopped, Sapphire quickly ran to each of the pups and checked on them. Lava and Fireball were surprisingly fine, but Chase, Blaze, Thunder and Bay were dazed and seemed dizzy.

"Are you okay, Chase?"

"Y-y-y-e-e-e-s S-s-app-h-hir-re"

"S-s-s-o-o a-a-am I-i-i"

"m-m-me t-t-too" the pups answered.

"Hmm, you pups are just pretty dizzy, nothing else. I wonder why Lava and Fireball are normal, while you guys are so dizzy..." Sapphire thought out loud.

When the pups eventually became steadier, Sapphire observed the meteor carefully.

"I don't think the meteor is a threat. If it was, something bad would already have happened. But I am still not sure why it 'exploded' like that"

Thunder slowly walked toward the meteor, strangely out of nowhere green tools appeared from a neon green orb coming from his front paws. "Amazing and strange! These tools are like made up of energy...like energy tools!"

Then a green tool accidentally hit the meteor towards Chase.

"Aaaah!"

Within a second, Chase, who was at least 10 meters away from Sapphire before, was now 3 meters behind her.

 "Umm...Was it just me or...DID I JUST RUN ALMOST AS FAST AS LIGHTNING?"

"Sorry Chase, I still am not sure how to control those 'energy tools'"

"It's okay Thun-Oh no! Now the meteor is headed straight for Bay!"

But it was too late to warn Bay, the meteor was already closing in. Bay raised his front paws and prepared for the worst, but instead, two powerful waves shot out of them. The meteor was sent back a few meters away.

"Woah! How did I make that wave? And where is that meteow?"

They looked around and saw the meteor land in Coral Castle's storage room, a shed beside the castle. It was freezing there so there was a thick sheet of ice covering the meteor.

Blaze ran over and touched it, "Wow, that storage room sure is cold! This is solid ice!"

Then he looked back at the meteor, the ice around it melted! Chase ran over amazed, "Blaze! Your paws...it-it...melted the ice!"

"They- I mean - I did?"

Just then Fireball and Lava trotted over, "That's not fair. You guys have powers while we don't" Lava said in a baby-ish voice.

"Well, we certainly does look like it...But how is that possible?"

To answer their confusion, Captain Gary Graifisch, the funny lead Captain for Stella Auream walked over, "Let me share a little fact that may be true! I think that the glowing meteor there has fired these puppies here up! They didn't power Lava and Fireball up because they weren't chosen."

"Wow! But what were we chosen for?"

"That, I believe that you were chosen to save the world!"
