Meeting Tatsumi Again (Part 1)

"I can't believe I'm still on patrol like a normal person when I'm stronger than more than half of the Imperial Police? Im also working with General Esdeath now! I'm talking to myself again. Nothing exciting happens here, what's the point in strolling the streets looking for trouble? And if you go in dark alleys there's a bunch of perverted freaks roaming around. They just want to see their blood spilled." I turned around when I heard a commotion. I ran towards them taking in a deep breath. "Hey, you two stop fighting!" I yelled busting in, through the crowd.

"He started it!" They pointed at each other.

"Why are you guys such kids? Have an ice-cream!" I stabbed my hand making two vanilla ice-creams. I handed it over to them then walked away.

"Hey, wait!"

"Do you want syrup with it?" I turned around raising an eyebrow.

"Ummm, ok?"

"What flavour?" I asked holding up my sword.

"Umm, lets see ..... strawberry?" He beamed.

I took his cone and made I deeper cut with my sword using the blood to make the syrup. I handed it over to him seeing he looked really puzzled. "It doesn't taste like blood!" I smiled walking away.

"That's a weird Imperial Arm." I heard him mumble. I turned around and took a good look at the boy. Now that I realise it, he looks a lot like Tatsumi. He even has the same name. Wait, that is Tatsumi! "Tatsumi!" I ran towards him stopping him from walking away. "Remember me right? On the cruise."

"Oh yeah. I forgot, nice to meet you again!" I saw that he wasn't smiling, he was sad on the inside.

"Sorry that your friend died. I bet you didn't know he was from Night Raid either." He nodded after I smiled at him. A chair formed from the blood still dripping from my hand. I sat down and let out a sigh. "I wonder, do you know who Shadow Leo is? It seems like he knew me, but I don't seem to remember him anywhere. He's part of Night Raid isn't he? But I don't really want to slit out his throat and stab him a million times. I wanna know what lies behind the mask. He has the same burning eyes that I do. Bloody red and pitch black hair." I paused and clenched my fist together. "Even if he did let Captain Ogre die."

"Even so, he seems to care for you quite a lot." Tatsumi spoke as he pulled out a bandage and started wrapping it around my hand. "I admit, he does look like he wants to destroy you but he doesn't. He spared your life, I'd say he likes you." I let out a tiny giggle. Tatsumi looked up at me smiling but his smile slowly turned into a frown. "Next time you're in battle, don't injure yourself like that unless you need to. Especially for just two cones with ice cream and strawberry syrup." Those were the exact same words Captain Ogre told me. Tatsumi finished wrapping my hand then gave me a smile. It made me a little happy that he reminded me of someone I used to cherish. I tear fell down my cheek making him startled. "A-are you ok?"

"I'm fine, just really happy. Thanks Tatsumi!" I smiled. "I've been meaning to ask you this question for a while now." I wiped away my tears and stood up. "Have I ... met you before?" He kept quiet for a couple of seconds. Suddenly a strong breeze struck. I closed my eyes for just a second and he was gone. "Tatsumi?"

The Next Day

"Get up!"

"Ok, I'm coming!" I was rushing to change cause Wave was literally banging at my door trying to get me out. I picked up my sword and swang the door open. "I'm here!" I looked around seeing no one was there. "Where'd he go?" I walked out and closed the door behind me seeing Wave stuck in the wall behind the door. "What are you doing there?" I asked tilted my head in confusion as blood starts dripping down from his head.

"You idiot! Can't you think that there would be someone standing behind the door?!" He yelled. Hehe, he called me an idiot, eh?

"What did you call me?" I clutched my hand onto my sword slightly taking it out showing my demon, angry eyes.

"N-nothing!"

"We better get going!" I put my sword back in and started walking off. I turned around,"wait, where are we going?" I scratched my head. He face-palmed himself and fell onto his knees. "Hey, don't judge me! You just rushed me out of my personal privacy with no explanation. We're not friends, don't try making friends with me."

"Uh, ok? Anyways you know that scissor-like Imperial Arm? Yeah, General Esdeath is holding a little competition to find a wielder." Wave explained as he took out a handkerchief from his pocket and started wiping the blood away. "Oh yeah, you left before you heard what our group name is. We're called The Jaegurs."

"Then why did you call me?!" I yelled. This douchebag dragged me out of bed just for a tournament that has nothing to do with me. If he wasn't in my team, he wouldn't have lived this long. I swear this guy gets on my nerves the most. He smells like fish and his attitude is unacceptable.

"Uhh, that's not it. General Esdeath wants you to host it since you're the second strongest one in the group. She wants you to help out to find the winner." I sighed after he begged for mercy.

"You're lucky you have a good-enough reason otherwise your head would have been chopped off ages ago. Anyways, let's go."

Time Skip

I let out a yawn in the middle of one of the battles. Wave slightly slapped me to keep me awake. "This is so boring. None of these battles are amusing at all. All of them are a bunch of weaklings. I'm pretty sure General Esdeath is also burning off her boredom." I looked over to Wave seeing he wasn't bored at all. "Man, how can you even stand up? This is boring as hell. General Esdeath was pretty stupid to hope someone would show up who would be able to wield that Imperial Arm." I sighed once more. Wave slapped my back making me turn around giving him the death stare.

"Don't say that in public. You'll get arrested." He explained. Finally the guy was defeated. He's weak as hell, God, just murder him right here. "The winner is Nobunaga the Dried-Goods Merchant!" Wave announced. And now the final match, thank god!

"And now the Final Match!" I announced. "On the east side, Kalbi the Butcher!" I pointed east to the overweighted bastard. "And on the west side, Tatsumi the BlackSmith!" I pointed over to the midget on the other side. I still can't believe they allow a blacksmith like him to enter. He looks pretty young as well. The battle started. The big guy went for an attack but Tatsumi dodged it jumping in the air. He fell back down and kicked the opponent away from him. This guy's pretty interesting, he's not even using a weapon. Tatsumi deflected all the other guy's moves by using his own punches. When he had the opportunity he was able to give a punch into his oponent's stomach. Tatsumi tripped Kalbi and gave him a final kick. Finally my brain hit me. "It's him .... Tatsumi."
