He dashed at the enemy Tatsumi was fighting. He aimed him and swung his fist towards him. His arm started to produce flames around it. He missed his attack but he looked like he was expecting the enemy to dodge. The flames grew worst. It surrounded him in a tornado of fire and slowly disappeared. Wh-where did he go? He appeared in front of me but looked no different from before. "That was close, I almost blew my cover." He laughed. He placed his right hand in front of my face and in a few second all I can see was darkness. He didn't make my vision blurry like last time. My vision came back and I could feel my body again but when I stood up ... no one was there. It was like this was all just a dream. But there was still a lot of damage left on the boat. We were heading back to shore. "Looks like the battle ended before I could do anything", I sighed. "And I thought I was gonna have a great vacation. Just for a second at least. I'll just forget everything that happened today. I won't report anything about this incident." I looked down seeing an envelope stuck on the end of Ryūketsu. I opened it seeing the letter was blank. "Why would anyone put in a blank letter?" I spotted a tiny dot on the bottom left side of the page. Ryūketsu turned into a magnifying glass for me to see what it was. "Rest in peace soon. Whatever that means, that guy has no brain. I'm immortal bruh! And now I'm talking to myself.

The next day

I received an invitation to go to a room at the castle. Oh, found it! I opened the door seeing a muscular guy wearing a creepy mask. It crept me out a bit so I checked the room's name one more time to see if I went to the wrong room. Ok, I'm in the right room, I'll just go in and say hi. Forget it, I'll just go in and sit at the end of the table and say nothing. I walked in and closed the door behind me acting casual as I walked towards the other end of the table. A few minutes later another guy came in, he stinks like fish. Can I just kill him already? I'm not joining a group with this guy that smells like rotten seafood. He kept on staring at me, I could feel it.

"Wave, isn't it?" I crossed my arms and closed my eyes.

"Umm, yeah?" He hesitated.

"Get that retched smell off you or my sword will go right through your heart in 10 seconds", I spoke with no emotion making it serious as I gave him an evil glare.

"What smell? And how do you know my name?" He gasped sniffing the air.

"My Imperial Arm can identify anyone in sight. It quickly sends the information to my brain about the person automatically. I'm way more superior than you know. So keep out of the way and you won't be killed. Like you, your name is Wave, you have the Imperial Arm Chariot", I pointed at the creepy guy and said, "That guy's Bols, you've got quite a reputation really. I'm impressed! Oh yeah, I just know you. My Imperial Arm can't identify those with masks." He just started scratching his head. "But the mask is disturbing me!" I confessed. Just then someone else walked into the room with a bag of cookies. I took a good look her then realised. "KUROME!" I gave her a huge hug.

"Oh, Jan!" She smiled hugging me back. "I didn't recognise you there, you changed a lot!"

"Oops, we've got an audience!" We quickly sat down next to each other. I cut my hand and let blood drop on to the table. Slowly the blood became forming into a bag. I picked it up taking out a cookie giving it a test try. It tasted really good! "Want some?" I asked Kurome. She took one and put it in her mouth. 5 seconds later, she took the whole bag. It made me let out a tiny giggle. I'm so glad that I got to see Kurome again especially after seeing Akame.

"Hello Comrades, my name is Seryu, member of the Imperial Guards and my friend's name is Koro!" That psychopath came in so I turned around glaring at the wall. But I remembered something.

"Koro? He's so cute like last time!" I jumped up and ran towards him squeezing him to death. Ok, I can't resist his cuteness even if he is a demon.

"Oh, it's you. Guess we'll be working together again." I smiled fake like and shook her hand as I took a seat. I don't know why but I don't really wanna make friends with this person. But I wouldn't mind working with her.

"You forgot about my grand entrance!" A gay looking guy came walking in. He was the one who got on my nerves the most. Oh, it's Dr. stylish.

"Good afternoon, looks like I'm the last one to arrive", a guy with blond hair came in.

"Hello Ran, my name's Jan, nice to meet you." I sighed not even seeing who it was.

"Nice to meet you too!" I turned to him and blushed a bit when he looked at me saying it normally. Wow, he's literally the only person who looks normal here. "How do you know my name?" He asked.

"It's a long story." Suddenly someone wearing a mask smashed in.

"What are you all doing here?!" She pointed at us.

"We were called here, what's your prob-" She kicked Wave into the wall stopping him from talking.

"Now you're getting on my nerves!" I drew out my sword and pointed it at her mask. She charged at us so I dodged it and tried to slice her hands off but she used my grip on my sword and swung it onto the table.

"I got it!" Kurome jumped in helping me out. I ran to the table getting my sword back. I charged back at her this time my sword was able to stab her leg. Kurome broke her mask revealing her face.

"General Esdeath!" I let go of my sword,"I'm so sorry!" I bowed down apologising feeling really embarrassed for what I just did.

"So you're Jan and Kurome. I have to say I'm quite impressed!" General Esdeath took the sword out of her leg and gave us a smile.

Time Skip

"I'm still terribly sorry, if I knew it was you I wouldn't have done such a thing!" I used her blood to slowly heal her injured leg.

"No, I'm sorry, I just don't like having boring entrances. I hope you don't mind. After my leg is fully healed we'll go meet the emperor then have a little party."

"I think that sounds great!" I smiled trying to hide my inner feelings. I wanted to know who Tatsumi was and Shadow. Her servants ruined everything. I wasn't the bad guy there. She was about to ask me something so I interrupted her. I stood up just as Esdeath's leg healed,"well? What are we waiting for?"

Time Skip

Everyone was having a conversation at the table and Kurome was just playing with Koro. Ran placed his hand on my shoulder making me look up at him.

"What's the matter? Are you hungry?"

I blushed and said, "no, just tired."

"You can go back to your room and get some rest. I'll take care of things for you. Anyways you look kinda red." He placed his hand on my forehead.

"Right now I have an interest in love", what General Esdeath said kinda startled me.

"I can't trouble you like that", I answered him. I removed his hand and stood up walking towards the kitchen seeing Wave and Bols start cooking. "Need any help?" I asked turning my sword into a kitchen knife and putting an apron on.

"Yeah, we need some pepper and spices but we ran out. Can you get us some?" Wave smiled, cutting into the fish. "Wait, I thought you said you can't cook!"

"I was just tired, I'm a great cook." I picked up a carrot and sliced it finely in seconds, professionally. I picked up all the other veggies and did the same thing. Wave didn't see anything cause he was too busy but I didn't really care. "Are you scared of blood?"

"No, why?" I turned around and stabbed his right hand. "Owww! What was that for?" Wave held onto his hand trying to stop the blood dripping. "You didn't even ask me!"

"Here's your things", I stabbed my knife onto the table lifting it up revealing the peppers and spices. "You wanted them, it's my way of delivering things. Captain Ogre made me promise not to injure myself for a wish so ...." I couldn't take it so I started crying.

"Hey, don't cry! Umm, have a lollipop!" Wave popped one in my mouth.

"Thanks!" I wiped away my tears trying to smile. "You really are an idiot Wave. How can you cheer someone up by popping a lollipop in their mouth?" I joked trying to stop crying. I saw him smile so I stuck out my tongue back at him. "If only Night Raid was dead by now!" I mumbled as I picked up the last carrot and placed it on the chopping board. I picked up the knife and chopped it with ease and precision. "As you can see, I'm a great chef."

"Did you say something?" Wave asked grinding the peppers. He took a peek at the carrots I cut and tilted his head in confusion.

"Nothing", I sighed. I gave Bols a smile since he was staring at me the whole time. My smile turned into a frown since his mask started disturbing me again. "Seriously, what is it with the mask? Do you not trust us enough to show your identity? I know you wouldn't trust me, but everyone else should be trusted."

"Why wouldn't we trust you?" Bols asked. I didn't say anything, I just kept quiet keeping away from eye contact. "I want to know."

"You don't know how hard it is to keep all these deaths on my shoulders!" My tears just became worse by the second. "I'm a terrible team member! I've killed everyone I ever cared for. This is why I wanted to be solo from the beginning. I, I don't want to see another innocent person die. Night Raid should just go die in a ditch! The last two missions I were in were tragic. I finally found people I could care for but they all died."

Wave walked towards me and handed me a tissue. "We won't die. Night Raid will."

I wiped away my tears and walked back to Kurome and whispered in her ear,"I'm tired, can you cover for me?" I left the room and sighed as I leaned against the door. "Wave .... you idiot!" I laughed taking a look at the lollipop. My smile turned into a frown,"why is Esdeath interested in love?"
