She sat in camp waiting for Shadowpaw to return

He had been out all day

And the sun had nearly completely set

He never stayed out this long Firetail made sure of it

The briar tunnel rustled

And she snapped her head around to see who came into camp

But it was just Speckledsnow

"Hi Speckledsnow" Speckledsnow's half sister Wintersnow said

"Hey" Speckledsnow replied

And Shadowpaw and Firetail came behind Speckledsnow

She jumped up

"Shadowpaw finally your back I've been waiting for you" Cloudfrost said

Firetail and Riverclaw looked confused at her happiness to see him

She ran over to him

"You were out longer than you normally are" Cloudfrost said

"Hey I'm trying to get being a warrior as fast as I can be a warrior with you" Shadowpaw replied

"I'm just happy that you are back at camp now" Cloudfrost said

Riverclaw looked over at Speckledsnow and said something but she wasn't sure what he said

She didn't know what made herself act this way about him but it was fine to her

"Did you catch any good prey well I was out" Shadowpaw asked

"Yes I caught three rabbits and one lapwing" Cloudfrost answered

"So where is the prey you caught" Shadowpaw asked

"On the fresh-kill pile of course" Cloudfrost answered

"Some of these rules of the warrior code aren't much different from how I used to live" Shadowpaw said

"Because I would never hunt for fun" Shadowpaw said

"Yeah why would you want to... but the only reason I would hunt for fun would be to see who could catch the most prey for the clan" Cloudfrost said

"And I rarely go onto other cats territories" Shadowpaw replied

"Well it sounds like you don't want to get into battles" Cloudfrost said

"Wouldn't everyone not want to get into battles" Shadowpaw replied

"Well some warriors like to like to show off there battle moves" Cloudfrost said

"Hey why don't you move from the entrance of camp before you get ran over" Riverclaw suggested

And her and Shadowpaw walked over to the edge of camp and sat down

I wonder what my life would be like if Shadowpaw wasn't in it Cloudfrost Wondered

Eaglestar walked into camp with rabbit in his jaws

"So what was Firetail teaching you today" Cloudfrost asked

"The way Stormclan runs and some battle moves" Shadowpaw answered

"Do you need any help practicing any of them" Cloudfrost asked

"Yes we were practicing the defense roll and I can't get it right" Shadowpaw answered

And she helped him get his defense roll right
