The clans haven't been fighting for a long time Scarletrose thought

Autumnshine was sharing a shrew with her brother Fallpelt

It was nearly sundown

Galaxyeyes and Sunstreak were making up rules for a hunting game they were going to Play the next day it looked like Silverpeace wanted to join them in there game

"I'm going out to remark the border with Pineclan" Scarletrose said

"Do you mind if I join you" Heavystar asked

Heavystar's pelt is light gray and he has deepish Blue eyes

"No not at all" Scarletrose answered

Why wound I mind he is the clan leader after all and the one he trusts to take care of the clan after he is gone she thought

"Primrosestep your in charge well we are gone" Scarletrose said

"Okay got it" Primrosestep replied

And her and Heavystar walked out of camp and through the forest

Birds were singing overhead and the leafs were rustling in the wind as they walked through the forest

They walked in silence Nether of them deciding to start a conversation

She heard voices up ahead at the border

She froze and silently told Heavystar to be quite as they went to investigate

She saw Sunpelt and Thunderflame of Pineclan talking there

"Oh hello" Sunpelt said

"Hi" Scarletrose said and came out into the open

Heavystar stayed hidden

"I don't believe you know but I'm your mother Scarletrose and you should have died a long time ago" Sunpelt said

"I don't know why but your mother has had a deep hate for you" Thunderflame said

"So I'm going to do what I should have done" Sunpelt said

And she charged at Scarletrose and Heavystar jumped out of the bush he was hiding in

Sunpelt's claws racked down Heavystar neck and down him belly

Heavystar fell to the ground

"No no no nononono" Scarletrose said and rushed to his side pressing her scarlet fur into his wound

"No that he is out of the way I'll deal with you" Sunpelt said

"No we have already caused too much damage to Nightclan" Thunderflame said and walked in front of her and Heavystar

And she scratched his ear

"That's for stopping me... now let's get back to camp" Sunpelt said

Skydawn and Birchdapple watched there two kits suckle Skydawn's milk

Spotkit and Cloudkit

She heard pawsteps outside

"Sunpelt what happened to you and Thunderflame" Kinkstar asked

She heard pawsteps in the clearing

"We were out on a walk through the forest when a Nightclan patrol attacked us we chased them off our territory tho" Sunpelt answered

"What does Foxhearts" Birchdapple growled

"Can you go see what's happening please" Skydawn asked Birchdapple

"Yes I well for you" Birchdapple answered

And he left the den

"Where did Duskmoon go" Birchdapple asked

"I don't know" Nightwhisker replied to Birchdapple

"He said he was going out hunting the last time I saw him earlier today" Goldenfang answered

"I'm ba.. what happened to Thunderflame and Sunpelt" Duskmoon asked

"Nightclan attacked us" Sunpelt answered

"Then you and Scarletrose have different stories" Duskmoon said

"What do you mean" Kinkstar asked

"I was hunting near the border with Nightclan when I heard yaowling and when I went to investigate I found Scarletrose with a dead tom and she said that Sunpelt tryed to kill her and he saved her" Duskmoon answered

"Is this true" Kinkstar asked Thunderflame and Sunpelt

"Yes it is and I didn't want to take part I was going to stop her then the tom jumped out and saved Scarletrose's life" Thunderflame answered

"I don't believe Sunpelt can stay in Pineclan anymore she has broken the warrior code and so-" Kinkstar said

"It was just because she didn't like Scarletrose" Thunderflame interrupted

"She must be exiled for killing another warrior" Kinkstar finished

"And Sunpelt gave me these scratches" Thunderflame added

"Fine I'll leave with my daughter and her kits" Sunpelt said

"You well not touch Skydawn and her kits" Birchdapple said

And he blocked the entrance

And she heard Nightwhisker and Goldenfang offer to escort Sunpelt off Pineclan territory

And Kinkstar aggred

And she heard three sets of pawsteps leave the camp

Birchdapple guarded the entrance until Goldenfang and Nightwhisker returned to camp

And Birchdapple Came back inside

"She is not taking you anywhere and she well definitely not take Cloudkit and Spotkit anywhere" Birchdapple said

"I know because you well do anything for me" Skydawn replied and smiled at him

Birchdapple was a white tom with very deep brown spots on him and golden eyes

Cloudkit was a lot like Skydawn with the same gray pelt and green eyes and Spotkit was a golden she-kit with Blue eyes

"But How are our perfect kits" Birchdapple asked

"They are still fine" Skydawn answered

"But you well probably think differently after they grow a bit and start causing problems" Skydawn said

He giggling and nodded "probably" he replied

They watched there kits for a little bit and then Birchdapple spoke

"I wonder why Sunpelt tryed to attack Scarletrose" Birchdapple wondered out loud

Cloudkit started hitting Skydawn with her paw and mewing

"What" Skydawn asked Cloudkit

"She seems like she is going to be a curious little kit" Birchdapple said

"Yeah I think so" Skydawn aggred

"Can you bring me a vole please because I don't think these two well let me get up" Skydawn asked

"Sure I can" Birchdapple answered and walked out of the den and returned with a fat vole a few moments later

"Thank you Birchdapple" Skydawn said

And he put the vole down in front of her

And she ate it

She barred the remains of the vole

"That was delicious" Skydawn said

"But do you know what I have noticed we don't have in leaf-bare" Skydawn asked

"No what?" Birchdapple replied

"Birds... I wonder where they go all Leaf-bare" Skydawn answered

"I don't know but I never realized that they weren't here all Leaf-bare before" Birchdapple said

"I have started to notice Birds flying away and not returning" Skydawn said
