It had been a moon since he got his warrior name Preyheart

He had been distant from the other apprentices after Skybreeze got her warrior name before him

Rainpaw had given up trying to talk to him but Shadowstalker and Riverclaw kept trying

He was going to go out hunting later today

He remembered what the last thing Poppymist said to him

"I'm here if you need me" was what Poppymist told him

No cat really seems to care about me anymore he thought

"Preyheart are you going to do anything today or are you just going to sit on the edge of camp all day" Skybreeze asked

He didn't answer her

"You never seem like you want to talk anymore" Skybreeze said

He still didn't reply to his annoying sister because it was just bait to get him to yell at her

"Skybreeze he has already been on the dawn patrol and you haven't done anything yet so why don't you just quit it with being rude to him" Riverclaw said

"Rude" Skybreeze said

"Your the one who is rude" Rainpaw replied after dropping his prey on the fresh-kill pile

"Come on Rainpaw" Shadowstalker called

Rainpaw gave Preyheart a friendly smile and followed his mentor out of the camp

"I'm going out hunting alone" Preyheart said

"Oh you feel like doing something today" Skybreeze said

She followed him out of camp

He turned around

"Why are you following me" he demanded

"I'm just coming out hunting to you don't have to yell at me" Skybreeze answered

He growled and ran down the hill

Looking over the moor for rabbits

He spotted one far off from the burrows

And he ran straight at it

The rabbit spotted him and began to try and run away

But he caught the rabbit

"Thank you starclan for this prey" Preyheart whispered and he barred the rabbit to collect later

It was the day after the gathering that I got my warrior name

And it had been three moon's since Skybreeze got her warrior name

He looked for some more prey

He glanced up at the sky to make sure no buzzards were flying overhead

Nothing not even a cloud

Tomorrow night is the gathering

His warrior name would be announced

The gathering that it was announced that Skybreeze had received her warrior name his friends looked confused of why he didn't get his

He saw his sister running straight towards him yelling "Fox Fox" Skybreeze said

And she ran right passed him not stopping to help him fight the fox she was going to camp

"Hey Crowfood eater your no match for me" Preyheart called to the fox

And the fox noticed him and

He charged for the fox

I well not lead it back to camp I well fight it even if it kills me he thought

He leapt onto the fox's back and began to claw it

The fox grabbed his tail and pulled him it's back

It let go of his tail and ripped of a bit of his ear

He charged at the fox again throwing it off balance and the fox fell over

It let out a yelp of panic

And the fox began to attack his tail leavening several deep scratches

He grabbed the fox's neck and bit down hard

The fox fell still

He had many deep scratches and bites from the fox

He began his walk back to camp

I defeated a fox by my self well Skybreeze ran to camp nearly putting the hole clan in danger

If it hadn't been for him there would be a fox attacking the camp right now

Blood dripped from a scratch over his eye clouding his vision

But he knew where camp was even without seeing

He walked into camp

He heard cheers "Rainfall Rainfall"

He stumbled into camp

The last thing he heard was gasps of horror before everything went black

Rainfall was confused about the gasps until he saw Preyheart with many scratches over his pelt

"Great Starclan! What happened to him" Poppymist asked

Skybreeze looked scared and guilty

"Skybreeze what happened" Rainfall asked

"I was being chased by the fox and Preyheart took it my tail and I-I d-d-didn't g-go and h-h-help h-him" Skybreeze answered

"You let your clan-mate no your liter-mate get attacked by a fox and you didn't help him!" Wolfmoon asked

"Yes and I regret it already" Skybreeze answered

Preyheart was brought into the medicine den

Shadowstalker looked as tho he was about to fall apart

Firefly and Graypaw stood beside him

"Graypaw do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend your clan even at the cost of your life?" Eaglestar asked

"I do" Graypaw answered

"Then by the powers of starclan I give you your warrior name Graypaw from this moment you well be known as Graypool. Starclan honors your strength and bravery, and we welcome you as a full warrior of Stormclan" Eaglestar said

"Firefly Rainfall Graypool Firefly Rainfall Graypool" the clan cheerd

But it was not the happy moment it was supposed to be

But how could it be a happy when his friend was hurt

"Come on we need to do our silent vigil" Firefly said

And the three of them sat in the middle of the clearing

As the warriors went to there dens

Mistysong came out of the den

"Please come into my den tomorrow morning Preyheart wants to see you three" Mistysong said

They nodded in agreement

"Thank you I'll tell him that you well see him in the morning" Mistysong said

And she walked back into the den

When the sun rose and and dawn patrol left and Wolfmoon told them there vigil was done they went to the medicine den to see Preyheart

"You came" Preyheart said

"Why wouldn't we your our friend" Rainfall said

"I wanted to tell you I was thinking about leaving Stormclan after my wounds are healed" Preyheart said
