Lionpaw was suck with cleaning the elders nests

Halfpath and Fogheart had recently moved to the elders

Streamsong was now the deputy of Dewclan

Halfpath had been complaining about a bellyache but all Ryepool found was a lie to get him to be able to spend some time with his sister

So she told him that he could hang out with her if he helped in the den

Iceleap is such a fun mentor but left him to clean the elders den well he went on the dusk patrol

Apprentice jobs are so boring he thought as he dragged the old moss out of camp to get rid of it

He came out of camp and a sudden blast of freezing wind hit him

He shivered

The sooner I finish getting rid of this the sooner I can get to my warm nest he thought

He tossed the moss out and went back into camp

There now the elders have fresh nests he thought

Iceleap and the dusk patrol returned to camp

Streamsong walked to the warriors den

"I finished cleaning the elders nests" Lionpaw said

"Good" Iceleap replied

Lionpaw's long golden fur protected him from most of the cold

Iceleap was shivering

"I'm going to my nest" Lionpaw said

And he walked into the apprentices den

And he lyed down in his nest and went to sleep

When he woke up him and Heatherpaw were the only ones in the den

"Heatherpaw" Goldstrike called into the den

And she got up and left the den

"Lionpaw" Iceleap called into the den

He jumped up ready for more training and walked out of the den

It was obvious that because of Iceleap's short white fur didn't make leaf-bare easy on him

"Come on let's go train" Iceleap said

They walked out of camp and when they were nearly to the training spot it began to snow

"Alright for when or if the ponds and rivers freeze you need to know how to hunt land prey" Iceleap said

And Iceleap showed him how to do the hunters crouch

Lionpaw couldn't get it right

And Iceleap started to help him get the hunters crouch right

"Why don't we just break the ice if the ponds and rivers freeze" Lionpaw asked

"What if the ice is to thick to break" Iceleap replied

"I guess we need to learn" Lionpaw said

And they continued to practice land hunting

"Okay we are going to see how much you learn so we well try on real prey" Iceleap said

"Okay" Lionpaw replied

He saw a water vole looking through a pile of leafs under a alder tree

He crawled forward and once he judged the distance he jumped landing a kit step away

He grabbed it with his paw a gave it a quick killing bite

"Now what?" Lionpaw asked

"Now we fish" Iceleap answered

"And nice catch" Iceleap said

And they fished for a long time

"Alright its time to go back to camp" Iceleap said

And they gathered up there prey

And returned to camp

"It looks like we well be eating good tonight" Streamsong said

He dropped his prey on the fresh-kill pile

"Yeah I'm a amazing fisher" Lionpaw said

"And I'm super strong" Lionpaw said

"Maybe you well one day be as strong as a Lionclan warrior" Halfpath said

And Owlfang and Maplepaw walked into camp

Maplepaw had dripping wet fur and three pikes in her mouth

She dropped them on the fresh-kill pile

"We were fishing in the river and all the fish were at the bottom of the river so I had to swim deep into the river" Maplepaw said

"Well why didn't you shake your pelt dry outside camp" Lionpaw asked

"I didn't think of that okay" Maplepaw answered

"He was just asking a question you don't need to snap at him" Owlfang said

She sat down and started to groom herself

She seems to care a lot about how she looks Lionpaw thought

Goldstrike and Heatherpaw returned to camp

"Hey do you think Preypaw well have his warrior name" Maplepaw asked Heatherpaw

"I don't know maybe" Heatherpaw replied

Snow had now covered the fresh-kill pile

"I'm guessing that Preypaw is one of your friends" Streamsong asked

"Yeah he is" Lionpaw and Maplepaw answered at the same time

"I guess friends are something you can agree on" Streamsong said

"I guess so" Lionpaw replied

"Are.. you are planning to have more kits!" Fogheart said

"Yes" Tidewing replied

I'm getting more siblings he thought

"You want more kits!" Lakenose said surprise in his voice

"Yes but I won't do anything if your not okay with it" Tidewing said

"I'm fine with it I was just surprised that you wanted more" Lakenose replied

"I'm going to be nursery Queen even when this litter leaves the nursery but when there are no other Queens to help I well hunt for my clan" Tidewing said

"So I cat to help new Queens take care of there kits and when there is no one to help you hunt I like that" Streamsong said

"I do to" Webstar said

"So I can do it" Tidewing asked

"Yes you can" Webstar answered

"Thank you" Tidewing said

"Goldstrike Iceleap can I borrow your apprentices" Tidewing asked

"Only if you let us help with whatever you are planning to do" Iceleap replied

"Alright" Tidewing answered

"We are going to make nests in the nursery and strengthen the walls of the den" Tidewing said

And they walked out of camp and started to collect some fresh moss

And then they returned to camp and walked inside the nursery and started to make new nests

He worked with Maplepaw and Iceleap worked with Tidewing well Goldstrike worked alone

They had as many nests as could fit in the den without any cats needing to touch one another

The nests were big so a Queen and her kits could fit in the nest comfortably
