Errors Coming Through

Jungkook's POV

The whole day I am out of my thoughts. My friends would always caught me spacing out or staring at the ocean. They would ask if I'm okay or even joke if I swallowed a large amount of sea water that's why I'm spacing out. But Hoseok hyung's joke about me seeing a mermaid is the one that would always make me froze.

How do I tell them that he's right? I indeed saw a mermaid. A merman to be exact. But why am I even thinking of how to tell them when I told him that I won't be telling anyone about him because of his fear that they will hurt him.

I can't tell anyone because he trust me. I can't break the trust he gave. I can't do it. I won't do it. Whatever it takes.

When afternoon came, around 3pm, they went to the beach for a swim. I stayed by the shore and just watch them have fun. I feel like I'm the father here watching my kids have fun.

We are near the rocks now since the water in this pet is clearer than the part in where most people swim.

With my sunglasses on, I look around the place and inhale the fresh air with the hint of scent of the cold ocean.

"Jungkook-ah! Won't you go swimming?" My head snap at Namjoon Hyung's direction and chuckle a bit before shaking my head.

"I'm fine Hyung," I said and he nod.

I grab the glass of four season juice at the table beside me and take a sip. I just sat there, looking around when my eyes caught a glimpse of the blue tails.

My eyes widened and I immediately stand up. When I saw him smile at me before going back to the water, I look at my friends and when I saw them having fun. I run towards the rocks. I held on the big rocks as I went down the water. It's a bit slipper because of the water and some moss. When the water I at my waist I started looking around.

"Jimin-ah! Where are you?" I screamed but not loud enough for my hyungs to hear.

Suddenly he grabbed me by the neck and started laughing.

"I've been watching you there for starting when your friends started making noises." He said before slightly loosening his grip on my neck.

I faced him and he is smiling at me brightly.

"You look happy. Did something fun happened to you today?" I ask and he squinted his eyes and shake his head.

"Nothing, I'm just happy to see you." He said and I chuckled.

"Okay.. as you say. By the way, have you ate already?" I asked and he tilts his head.

"Yes. I have." He said and I slowly nod.

"What did you have? Don't tell me you had fish?" I said and his eyes widened. He splashed water to me making me burst into laughter.

"You're so cruel! Of course I don't do that! Fish ate my friends! I can never do that to them!" He said, raising his voice making me laugh even more from his cuteness.

"I was just joking. I know you're eating fruits specially your favorite coconut since that's the only fruit in your island." I said before looking at the ocean. I didn't hear him say anything so I looo back at him but when I saw his surprise expression that's when I realized what I just said.

"H-Hey..-

"How did you know about that?" He ask and my eyes widened.

"I'm.. I was just-

"Please he honest to me." He said and I nod.

"I am.. I was just kidding. I only guess it. I didn't know it's true." I said and he slowly nod. But I saw how his expression turn down which made me panic.

"Hey.. do you want us to swim. Let's go swimming." I said before swimming towards the ocean. I hear some splashes at the back which I supposed he's already swimming. I thought he's following me but when I saw how beautiful tail pass by me under the water I stopped swimming.

But when I look around he's nowhere to be found.

"Jimin? Jimin? Hey.. where are you?" I called out. I can't see him and instead I can see my friends.

"Jimin!? Where are you!? Chim!?" I called him once again. But instead of his answer I heard my friends called me.

"Jungkook-ah! What are you doing there!? Come here!" Namjoon Hyung said. I look around once again trying to see if Jimin is anywhere close but he's nowhere to be found so I just swim towards them.

The whole remaining afternoon I am once again out of my mind. Even worse because I don't know why he suddenly left me there. Did I do something wrong? Did I say something wrong? Did I offend him about the fish?

We ate dinner and had small amount of alcohol and I made sure I'm not drunk that much because I'm planning to go by the shore again.

I watch as the water hit my sandals and my feet. With the small stick I pick up awhile ago, I started writing on the sand.

Names, two names of two teenage boys.

"Hey.. psst!" My head snap up and I looked around.

I saw Jimin's head above the water which a find creepy a bit.

"Come here! There's camera in that part." He said and I nod before standing up and walking towards him before dusting my shorts.

He swim closer to me and once he get to the sand I hold him by his arms and help him.

When he's comfortable on the sand I say beside him.

"So at night you go at this part? What if someone sees you?" I ask,

"Someone sees me? Like an drunk guy?" He ask looking at me with a teasing tone. I scoffed and shake my head.

"I'm not drunk right now. Just tipsy." I said and he nod.

We became silent for few minutes before I finally had the urge to talk.

"I'm sorry for awhile ago. I know I said something wrong. I don't know what exactly I said but I know I did that's why you left me." I said and he slowly nods.

"It's fine.. I also left you because.. I think we had enough talk this afternoon." He said and I take a deep breath.

"Mhmm, I don't think so. But okay.." I replied feeling a bit disappointed.

"Hey.. what's that on your feet?" He ask as he pointed at my feet. The bracelet on my ankle.

"Just like yours. It's something important." I said an he nods.

"I understand." He said and I nod.

"We're leaving in two days." I said and I saw his head snap at my side.

I look at him and saw how shocked reaction. But he then smile.

"Really? I hope you had fun here." He said and I nod.

"Of course I did, I met you." I said and his eyes widened.

"It's not a big deal-

"It is, it's a big deal to me." I said and he pursed his lips.

"I'm also happy meeting you.." he said and I chuckled a bit.

"You haven't asked my name yet." I said while smirking a bit.

I saw how his mouth opened but then close.

"Well then.. mind telling me?" He asked and I chuckled.

"Jungkook.. Jeon Jungkook." I said and he nods.

"I'm just Jimin.." he said while looking down. I scoffed a bit.

Oh really? Just Jimin?

"What are the things you're gonna do in your remaining 2 days?" He ask before looking at me.

I adjustment my position and bite the inside of my cheeks.

"Well.. jet-ski I guess." I said and he nod.

I look at him and I saw how he pursed his lips while playing with the sand. He lift his head up and our eyes met.

"You want to go to my island?"
