As Sasuke came face to face with the stranger, Sasuke readied his sword and activated his Sharingan. It was at this moment that Orochimaru chuckled. 

Stranger: Finally...the Uchiha blood has come to a boil.....

Without warning, the stranger lunges at Sasuke. When the stranger comes close, Sasuke swings his sword at the stranger, forcing him to fall back. Sasuke then proceeds to charge at the stranger with a Chidori strike. The stranger was able to dodge the attack, but Sasuke kept up the attack. 

Stranger: (Extraordinary! Such power and strength from someone so young. There is no doubt about it! He is the pride of the Uchiha!) 

Sasuke: (If I can't have the courage to face this demon....then how will I ever have the courage to face him!)

As the battle intensifies, Sasuke throws several Kunai at the stranger. The stranger dodges them, but is left open to an attack by Sasuke. Sasuke was able land a slash on the stranger's arm. The stranger responds by kicking Sasuke with enough force to send Sasuke back several feet. 

Stranger: Most impressive, young one. I see you have mastered your fears. But it will not be enough!

The stranger then begins slithering around the area with blinding speed. At first, all Sasuke could see was a blur. But as Sasuke focused his Sharingan, he could trace the stranger's movements. 

Sasuke: (I can see!)

As the stranger was about to launch an attack, Sasuke dodges the attack and lands a devastating Chidori strike on the stranger, sending him back several feet. Despite this, the stranger still got up. 

Stranger: Most would have been hopeless to dodge my attacks. But your Sharingan allowed you to read my movements. Most impressive indeed. 

It was clear to Sasuke that the stranger was toying with him. Sasuke knew that there was no time to lose. The longer this fight lasted, the more likely Sasuke would tire himself out. the Stranger began to laugh. 

Stranger: How much longer can you keep up this fight? How much longer will your strength carry you? It is only a matter of time until you reach your limit. All I have to do is wait for you to tire yourself out. You should have run when you had the chance. Leaving your friends to die would've saved your life. But you have squandered that chance. Now you will die alongside your friends. 

Sasuke: I....I won't let them down! I won't fail!

Sasuke then throws two Kunai with wires attached to them at the stranger. While the Kunai miss, the wires bind the stranger to a tree. Wasting no time, Sasuke spits flames from mouth. The flames travel along the wires with lightning speed. The stranger screams as he is seemingly consumed by the flames. As the fire burns, the battle was over. Sasuke dropped to his knees as he takes several deep breaths. It was at this moment that Team RWBY regained consciousness. 

Yang: My head....

Blake: Is....is everyone okay? 

Weiss: I....I think so. Ruby?

As Ruby regained consciousness, she glanced over to see Sasuke on his knees. Without hesitation, Ruby got up and ran towards Sasuke with the rest of Team RWBY following their leader. 

Ruby: Sasuke! Are you okay?!

Sasuke: I'm...I'm okay. 

Yang: Where the hell is that snake guy?

Sasuke then points to the fire where the stranger was. 

Weiss: It looks like Sasuke was able to beat him. 

Blake: That's....that's incredible!

Ruby: I knew you could do it, Sasuke!

As the smoke died down, laughing was heard. Much to everyone's shock, the stranger survived the attack with his face partially melted off, revealing another face underneath.

Stranger: Such mastery of the Sharingan at so young an age.....you are a true Uchiha after all! 

Sasuke: Who are you....what are you?! WHAT DO YOU WANT?!

Stranger: My name is Orochimaru. As to what I want, that will have to wait until we meet again. 

The stranger now named Orochimaru then weaves several hand signs. Without warning, Orochimaru extends his neck and and bites Sasuke's neck. Sasuke screamed in pain while Team RWBY were powerless to do anything about it. After that, a Curse Mark Seal suddenly formed on Sasuke's neck. Sasuke collapsed to the ground as he writhed in pain. 

Ruby: Sasuke! You....you monster! What did you do to Sasuke?! 

Orochimaru: I just gave him a little parting gift. Very soon, Sasuke will seek me out of his own free will in desire of my power. In the meantime, I enjoyed the demonstration of the powers you already possess. 

In that moment, Team RWBY were paralyzed with fear. All they could do was tend to Sasuke. Ruby glanced over to Orochimaru with fury in her eyes. 

Ruby: Whatever you're planning....we'll stop you! Do you hear me?!

Orochimaru: Poor poor little rose. In the grand scheme of time, you are nothing more than a trivial footnote in history. You don't know it yet, but events will transpire that you cannot stop. Powers greater than you could ever imagine have their eyes set on Vale. And not even old Ozpin can stop it not matter how hard he tries. This is where we part ways....for now...

Orochimaru laughs as he sinks into the ground. As Orochimaru leaves, Team RWBY tends to Sasuke. Saskue lets out a agonizing scream as pain grips him. Left with no other choice, the exhausted Team RWBY grab Sasuke and leave the Forever Fall. In that moment, Orochimaru had left a parting gift to Sasuke Uchiha. A parting gift that would plant the seeds of power in Sasuke.
